Not far away, the old Gnoll shaman saw this and could not stand still. Under the protection of two guards, he approached the battlefield. It seemed that he was planning to use spells to provide support from afar.
When they walked past a small bush, a figure suddenly jumped out from the shadows of the bush. The figure was holding a scimitar in his hand and slashed at the guard next to the old shaman.
Feng Chou recognized the figure at a glance. It was Simon.
Seeing that it was Simon, Feng Chou knew that the Gnoll guard was doomed.
The Gnoll guard reacted quickly. He raised his shield and blocked Simon's scimitar. What he did not expect was that Simon's attack was only a feint. The other scimitar in Simon's hand pierced through the shield like a viper.
The Gnoll guard reacted quickly as well. He hurriedly used the axe in his right hand to block the attack, but he did not expect Simon to be able to handle the ferocious attack with ease. The scimitar flashed and dodged the axe. This time, the Gnoll guard was completely helpless. He could only watch as the scimitar pierced through his black steel armor like it was cardboard and cut into his chest like it was tofu.
The scimitars in Simon's hand came from a commander class Drow warrior. They were the only two + 5 scimitars among the spoils of war. The other pair was in the hands of Anrui.
Simon pulled the scimitar out of the Gnoll guard's chest with all his might. The guard's chest was cut open along with its outer armor. Blood gushed out.
Simon's sneak attack this time was clean and neat. From the moment he jumped out of the shadows to the moment he stabbed the scimitar into the Gnoll guard's chest, only one or two seconds had passed. When he cut open the Gnoll guard's chest, his companion and the old shaman behind him finally reacted.
The other Gnoll guard roared angrily and rushed toward Simon, who was retreating quickly.
The old shaman behind him did not say anything. He raised his staff and an electric current suddenly appeared at the tip of the staff.
However, he would never have the chance to unleash his lightning because a black shadow jumped up from behind him. A dagger with a dim light fiercely pierced into his back, followed by another …
The two daggers pierced through the old shaman's back seven or eight times in a short period of time. The shadow quickly retreated and disappeared into the bushes in a moment.
Feng Chou could not help but feel a chill run down his spine and his chrysanthemum clench!
Moments after the old shaman was assassinated, a Gnoll Hunter hiding behind a tree was also assassinated by two human Rogues.
With the death of the old shaman, the two spirit wolves he summoned also disappeared. The little gnoll giant who was fighting with Diff looked back and saw the old shaman fall to the ground like a piece of wood. The shadow that killed the old shaman was retreating into the bushes.
Seeing this, the little Gnoll giant suddenly let out a sorrowful howl!
Following this sorrowful howl, his body actually swelled up once more, and with a swing of his hammer, he sent Dave flying back.
A Barbarian's Berserk!
The Barbarian's Berserk effect was very frightening. Strength + 40, Constitution + 40, Damage Immunity increased, and under the effect of Berserk, the mind would become fearless and resistance to mind spells would increase. However, they would also become unrecognizable, unable to distinguish between friend and foe.
The duration of Berserk was related to Constitution.
Seeing that their leader had defeated this troublesome guy, the two Gnoll guards were about to rush forward and finish off Diff together. They did not expect that the little gnoll giant, who had lost his mind after going Berserk, would abandon Diff on the ground and attack the Rogues retreating into the bushes.
When the two Gnoll guards saw this, they hurriedly retreated. Although Diff was on the ground, he did not seem to be injured. If their leader did not go up, they would only be throwing their lives away.
The two Gnoll guards anxiously shouted at the little gnoll giant, but they did not get a response.
Seeing this scene, Walter, who had been watching from the back, quickly took out a scroll from the leather pouch at his waist and chanted an incantation to activate the scroll at the little gnoll giant's back.
As the incantation fell, a python-like black tentacle 'grew' out from under the little gnoll giant's feet and tightly wrapped around him.
Unlike divine spell scrolls that would immediately turn to dust after being cast, this scroll was still intact after being cast. Walter held the scroll with both hands, a nervous expression on his face as he shouted, "Diff, quick, this guy is too strong, the black tentacle can't hold him!"
Walter's shout reminded the gnolls.
The two Gnoll guards howled, and the gnolls that had been scattered before mustered their courage and rushed towards Walter with the two Gnoll guards.
The mercenaries and workers also mustered up their remaining courage and fought with the remaining gnolls. Some mercenaries who had some personal items also knew that it was a matter of life and death, so they took out life-saving potions and scrolls one after another.
"Brute Force," "Lightness," "Tenacity …" Under the buffs of various low-level spells, the combat power of the human mercenaries suddenly soared, and they protected Walter.
Diff, who had fallen to the ground, clutched his chest that had just been smashed and gritted his teeth as he got up. Although he had the + 3 defense of Rainbow Morality and + 3 armor, and although the gnoll's flail was only a + 3 weapon, when the opponent's strength reached a certain level, it could still cause damage to him.
He could not help but rejoice. If this guy had not gone crazy and wanted to kill the wanderers and had instead chased after him, he would have been dead. Rainbow Morality did not increase agility, and this gnoll giant's agility was much higher than his by a large margin.
'I must get a ring of agility when I go back,' Diff thought.
With that in mind, Diff did not slow down and quickly rushed to the gnoll giant's side.
What made Feng Chou jump in fright was that at this moment, the gnoll actually roared and broke free from the black tentacles, breaking free from the trap.
Fortunately, in the next second, another black tentacle stretched out from the ground and trapped him again.
Diff threw away his shield and roared. He jumped up, held his sword with both hands, and viciously slashed at the gnoll giant's head.
The gnoll giant was trapped by the black tentacles and could not dodge. Diff's + 3 one-handed sword firmly chopped at its head.
Unexpectedly, the gnoll giant's armor was also + 3 in quality, and the + 3 one-handed sword could not cut it open.
The gnoll giant roared again and broke free from the black tentacles!
Seeing the gnoll giant break free again, everyone's heart thumped. Feng Chou did not hesitate to retreat. He did not turn around and run, he just wanted to see the final result.
Another black tentacle drilled out of the ground and once again trapped the gnoll giant, but what was the use?
Diff was stunned when he found that his weapon couldn't cut through the other side's armor. Just as he was thinking about whether he should slash again or reach out to grab the other side's armor, Walter, who was behind him, shouted, "Hurry up, last chance!"
Diff was thoroughly panicking. If that terrifying berserk gnoll broke free, he simply wouldn't be able to block it. Would he fail at the last moment?
At this critical moment, Simon suddenly appeared not far away and threw a scimitar at Dave. At the same time, he shouted, "This is a + 5 scimitar!"
Diff grabbed the scimitar's handle. Once the scimitar entered his hand, it was immediately amplified by the power of the Righteous Rainbow spell. Diff didn't have time to think and slashed with the scimitar.
Just as his scimitar slashed down, the berserk gnoll once again broke free from the black tentacles.
This time, the scroll in Walter's hand finally turned into fragments …
