The mission said,
There was a pair of lovebirds on Chongwu Mountain that had worked together for many years,
But they were now planning to go their separate ways.
Lovebirds?
Lin Shao had heard of this name in the human world,
It was often used as a metaphor for couples and lovers whose love was stronger than gold. However, looking at the content of the mission..,
Lin Shao wondered if he had to take the role of a neighborhood committee aunt to do some marriage mediation?
When he thought of this..,
He shivered for some reason.
However, on second thought..,
He had played all kinds of roles in order to complete the mission,
He didn't need this one.
After comforting himself mentally, he lowered his head to look at the mission reward,
It wasn't low,
It was even a little higher than the West Queen Mother's,
There were 350 points,
The mission time was given a month, but this mission seemed to be quite short and didn't seem to be a big deal.
Lin Shao opened the mountain sea map with doubts. When he saw the newly lit location on it, he opened it to take a look.
The introduction said that there was a mountain called Chongwu. There was a kind of bird on the mountain,
It only had one eye and one wing. The female had the right wing and eye, while the male had the left wing and eye,
It required the cooperation of the male and female to fly,
Its name was Man Man,
But this clan had an even more widespread name,
It was the lovebirds.
The elixir water originated from Chongwu Mountain and split from the mountain. One vein flowed through the white jade vein and secreted white jade paste. The other vein flowed through the black stone forest and secreted black jade paste.
The lovebirds fed on these two kinds of jade paste. The female birds fed on the white jade paste, and the male birds fed on the black jade paste.
That was the introduction. However, Lin Shao noticed one thing. Although the location of Chongwu Mountain was still in the western mountain area where he had recently been active, it was quite a distance away from Taiqi Mountain and Jade Mountain. Instead, it was very close to the center of the entire map.
Lin Shao had done so many missions. Now, he had done missions in the north, south, east, and west. He had only not been to the middle area that Taotie had specially mentioned. This area was only a very small area on the map, but it was very mysterious.
Lin Shao still remembered that when he was looking down from the top of Huai River, he saw a floating immortal mountain emitting a faint golden light in the distance. Bai Ze said that it was Mount Kunlun, which was in the Intermediate Realm.
There wasn't much information provided by the system. As usual, Lin Ting went to ask about the characteristics of the Biwinged Bird before completing the quest. However, he didn't have to go through so much trouble this time. Sophora Ghost Li Lun was able to answer his questions.
"The lovebirds are indeed a very special race, but at the same time, they are also a very important race.
It's said that the Pill Water originates from Chongwu Mountain, but if we trace it back further, this water actually comes from the middle realm. That's why the spiritual aura is abundant, and the entire river basin that the Pill Water flows through is blessed by this blessing. "
The Ghost Of Locust explained, "However, the source of the Pill Water is only a very small stream of water. On Chongwu Mountain, it divides into two streams and converges again at the foot of the mountain. Then, it slowly flows to the west and expands.
The two streams of Pill Water on Chongwu Mountain have to flow through the White Jade Vein and the Black Stone Forest. If the jade paste secreted here is not frequently pecked by the lovebirds, it will congeal and block the Pill Water. If the water from the source does not flow down, then it will be a big matter.
And because Chongwu Mountain is on the edge of the Intermediate Realm, the spiritual aura there is heterogeneous, sometimes heavy and sometimes light, only the lovebirds can fly up. Therefore, this race is still very important in that area. "
Lin Shao listened carefully, then asked doubtfully, "But I saw in the mission summary that only one pair of lovebirds is having a conflict. If only this pair is not cooperative, then the other lovebirds can live normally. This shouldn't affect the Pill Water in any way, right?"
The Ghost Of Locust shook his head, then explained to Lin Shao, "First, the lovebird race is very small. In the Mountain and Sea Realm, most of the races that have some kind of special ability don't have many members. Until now, there should be no more than five pairs of lovebirds that can form pairs. Therefore, every pair of lovebirds is very important.
"Second, I saw in your mission description that this pair of lovebirds that are having a conflict is not an ordinary pair. They should be the first pair of lovebirds on Chongwu Mountain. The other lovebirds in this race are all their descendants. If this pair is unhappy, I'm afraid that the other lovebirds will not be spared.
"Oh, right, I also recognize them. They can be considered old friends. They have names. The female is called Ling, and the male is called Wu.
However, the two of them aren't called the Lovebirds for nothing. They've been through life and death situations, and back then, their love was stronger than gold. But now, they've gone their separate ways. It seems a lot of things have changed since I left the Mountain and Sea Realm. "
After Lin Shao heard this, he was silent for a while, then nodded to show that he understood. He also didn't forget to ask Clan Leader Wen Yao about the current situation. However, he didn't get anything special. The races that he was familiar with didn't know much about the situation on the other side.
In any case, after he understood, he would have to go and see for himself.
However, after arriving at Chongwu Mountain, Lin Shao realized that the System was really prepared. The items that were refreshed in the shop weren't placed there for nothing.
Given the situation on Chongwu Mountain, if one didn't have the ability to fly, they wouldn't be able to climb it.
Unlike Huai Jiangshan, which was a straight mountain pillar, Chongwu Mountain's slope was not too steep. However, there were many strange rocks on the mountain, which made it difficult to walk.
Lin Shao was helpless. He couldn't always rely on Bai Ze for the quest, so he could only exchange for the flying tomato from the System. The tomato was quite sweet. After eating it, Lin Shao felt like he was floating. However, he didn't grow wings and become a birdman. He only felt that his body had become lighter, like a feather.
Lin Shao tried to follow the instructions of the item, trying his best to get used to the feeling of floating.
However, after flying at a low altitude for a while, he couldn't help but stop and rest on a rock for a while.
Lin Shao's body was in good condition, but there seemed to be an invisible pressure on the mountain. It was probably what The Ghost Of Locust had said. The spiritual energy on the mountain was very heterogeneous, so most races couldn't go up. As an envoy equipped with the System, Lin Shao was immune to most things, but the pressure still existed, making him very uncomfortable.
He walked and stopped, and after about an hour, he finally found the place where the lovebirds lived according to the directions he had asked.
The Mountain Sea Map showed that the lovebirds' favorability was at least 50. It was probably because Lin Shao's recent quests were more widely spread, and they were all good news, especially in the West Mountain area. There were many races that had reached this level of favorability.
A favorability of 50 was already very high. At the very least, he should be able to start a conversation without hindrance during their first meeting.
Lin Shao prepared himself. After flying for a while, he saw a few thick trees.
The lovebirds' nests were in the trees, but they didn't make nests. They lived in tree holes like squirrels.
When Lin Shao arrived, he found that there was a deep line on the ground under the trees, dividing the place into two halves. There were three trees on each side. The division of the territory was quite even, but it looked like the demarcation lines on the desks in elementary school.
Lin Shao stood on the other side of the line for a while. As if hearing a sound, a bird's head popped out of the tree hole near him. It looked down at him and asked, "Who are you?
What are you doing here? "
Lin Shao looked up and saw that the bird had gray feathers. According to the information he had asked The Ghost Of Locust, this was probably one of the mission targets he was looking for. The lovebirds had lived for a long time, and their feathers would gradually turn gray from their original yellow.
"Are you … Ling?"
Lin Shao asked tentatively. He looked carefully in the direction of the wings to confirm his identity and introduced himself. "Hello, I'm the new messenger. My name is Lin Shao."
After hearing Lin Shao's introduction, Ling's wariness disappeared a lot. He walked out of the tree hole.
Because he only had one wing, he couldn't fly, but his claws were very stable. He grabbed the tree trunk tightly and jumped easily from the tall tree to the low branch in front of Lin Shao. He stopped and looked at Lin Shao face to face.
