When it was close to noon, the [Intelligent War Chariot] slowly drove into a stretch of black mountain range.
Su Chen glanced at the screen and raised his eyebrows.
The screen clearly showed that this was the Dark Valley Mountain Range.
However, what was unexpected was that there were a large number of red dots surrounding the city of Feng Xi colony. There were at least tens of thousands of them.
This meant that the mutated beasts of the Dark Valley Mountain Range were besieging Feng Xi colony.
Feng Xi colony was only a small colony. Logically speaking, if it was attacked by tens of thousands of mutated beasts, it would be destroyed in an instant.
However, Su Chen found that although Feng Xi colony was surrounded, it did not fall.
The number of humans inside did not show any signs of decreasing.
"Feng Xi colony is so strong?" Su Chen was a little puzzled.
After pondering for a while, he said to the [Intelligent War Chariot], "Satoshi, go and take a look."
"Yes."
After receiving the order, the [Intelligent War Chariot] drove at full speed towards Feng Xi colony.
"Su Chen, have you found the nest of the mutated beasts?" Wu Yang walked up and asked.
Su Chen nodded, "The mutated beasts are besieging Feng Xi colony."
"Oh?"
Hearing this, Wu Yang was not surprised but happy.
If the mutated beasts hid in the mountains, it was actually very difficult to hunt them.
Because of the complicated terrain of the Dark Valley Mountain Range, if the mutated beasts fled desperately, they would not be able to kill many.
Once they came out of the valley and gathered together, it would be easier to hunt them down.
This undoubtedly lowered the difficulty of hunting, and allowed them to hunt more Mutant Beasts.
Su Chen also knew this, which was why he was in a hurry to go to Feng Xi colony.
Ten minutes later, the [Intelligent War Chariot] came to a stop about one li away from Feng Xi colony.
Su Chen narrowed his eyes and looked at Feng Xi colony.
He saw a black mass outside the city, all of them were mutated beasts.
Moreover, there was not only one type of mutated beast, there were at least more than ten types.
The Raging Rock Bear and Bloodthirsty Liao Pig that he had seen before were among them.
Moreover, these mutated beasts were not weak. There were many Level 1 mutated beasts and dozens of Level 2 mutated beasts.
It could be said that the overall strength of this Mutant Beast army was extremely strong, many times stronger than the Mutant Beasts in the Huangze Mountain Range.
However, no matter how strong they were, they were still unable to break through the gates of Fengxi colony.
As for the reason, it was very simple.
The entire city of Fengxi was shrouded in something similar to an energy shield.
It was because of the protection of this light shield that the Mutant Beasts were unable to break through.
Seeing this, Su Chen finally understood why the Fengxi settlement had been safe and sound all this time.
"Fengxi settlement is quite interesting!"
Su Chen nodded slightly, then retracted his gaze and turned to Wu Yang, "Captain Wu, do you know what that light shield is?"
"It should be a defensive array formation," Wu Yang thought for a moment and replied.
This was the first time Su Chen had heard of such a thing. He immediately became interested and asked, "What exactly does a formation do?"
"I don't know much."
Wu Yang sighed and continued, "I only know that there are three types of formations: offensive, defensive, and trapping formations.
However, they all have one thing in common, which is that they require a large amount of energy stones. "
"If that's the case, then Fengxi settlement has a lot of resources." Su Chen muttered.
Although Feng Xi colony was a small colony, the amount of energy stones required to protect the entire city must be astronomical.
