"He's really arrogant!"
Nan Lichuan clicked his tongue and couldn't help but swallow his saliva.
If Shang Caili hadn't told him personally, he wouldn't have believed that a Level-7 cultivator would dare to say such big words.
"Senior Brother Nan, are you interested in sparring with Su Chen now?" Shang Caili probed.
Nan Lichuan was also a proud person when he was young. He often challenged people who were stronger than him.
Strictly speaking, Nan Lichuan and Su Chen were the same kind of people.
Would Nan Lichuan back down when facing someone who was more arrogant than him?
With Shang Caili's understanding of Nan Lichuan, Nan Lichuan would definitely agree to sparring with Su Chen.
"Sparring is fine."
Nan Lichuan pondered for a moment and asked, "But aren't you also Level-10?
Why don't you spar with him? "
Shang Caili seemed to be prepared and explained, "As the Sect Master of the Sun Moon Star Palace, if I lose to a disciple, would the Sun Moon Star Palace still have face?"
Nan Lichuan didn't like this kind of explanation.
If Shang Caili lost, the Sun Moon Star Palace would lose face, but if he lost, he wouldn't lose face?
However, he soon felt relieved.
Compared to others, Su Chen had already aroused his strong interest.
"Alright, as long as that kid dares to agree, I'll play with him."
Nan Linchuan said casually. Obviously, he didn't take Su Chen seriously.
Seeing that Nan Lichuan agreed, Shang Caili was delighted. She turned to Su Chen and said, "Su Chen, are you willing to spar with Senior Brother Nan?"
"Sure."
Su Chen nodded.
Shang Caili's purpose was to see his strength. If he didn't agree, it would definitely arouse Shang Caili's suspicion.
Moreover, Level-10 cultivators were rare. He also wanted to take the opportunity to sharpen himself.
"Sigh!"
Gu Tianhua originally wanted to persuade him, but Su Chen agreed too quickly. He could only sigh faintly.
"Very good."
Shang Caili whispered and then reminded, "Senior Brother Nan is a Level 10 cultivator, but don't worry, he will hold back and won't hurt you."
On the surface, she was reminding Su Chen, but in reality, she was telling Nan Lichuan to be careful. It would be bad if he accidentally hurt Su Chen.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Shang Caili finished speaking, Su Chen said indifferently, "Senior Nan, please do your best because once I make a move, I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it."
There was a deeper meaning behind what he said. It was as if he was trying to say that if Nan Lichuan didn't give it his all, he might get hurt.
Hearing this, Shang Caili and the others were stunned. They stared blankly at Su Chen, their hearts extremely complicated.
They had seen many arrogant people, but they had never heard of someone like Su Chen.
Even if your talent is extraordinary and your strength far surpasses your peers, you shouldn't boast so shamelessly, right?
After all, you're only Level 7 while Nan Lichuan is Level 10. There's a difference of three levels. Would it kill you to keep a low profile?
What they didn't know was that Su Chen wasn't boasting this time.
He was thinking that if both of them held back during a fight, what would be the point?
How would he train himself then?
Therefore, it could be considered as a way to stimulate Nan Lichuan's fighting spirit.
"Alright, then I'll do as you wish!"
After being provoked by Su Chen's words, a hint of anger appeared on Nan Lichuan's face.
As the number one expert of the Sun Moon Star Palace, he was being looked down upon by a Level 7 junior. If he didn't teach Su Chen a lesson, where would he put his face?
"Tianhua, let's step aside first."
Seeing that it was about time, Shang Caili reminded Gu Tianhua.
"Yes."
Gu Tianhua reacted and slowly stepped back.
When Su Chen and Nan Lichuan were the only ones left on the scene, two powerful auras were emitted from their bodies.
