In the central hall of the royal palace.
The Ninth Princes of the Blackwater Dynasty walked into the hall with his ten subordinates.
He faced the Seon Of Silla on the throne without bowing. "Seon Of Silla," he said, "I'm here on behalf of the Blackwater Dynasty to discuss the tribute."
At this moment, a minister walked out from both sides of the hall and reprimanded, "Ninth Princes, is there no education in the Blackwater Dynasty?
You need to bow when you see the Emperor. "
The Ninth Princes put on an arrogant look and said, "Bow?
You're just an Emperor of an inferior dynasty. Do you think you're worthy for me to bow? "
The minister pointed at the Ninth Princes and said angrily, "How dare you!"
The Ninth Princes glanced at him and said disdainfully, "How dare you?
I think you're the one who dares to speak to me like this. "
The minister was about to speak again, but the Seon Of Silla waved his hand and dismissed him. His gaze fell on the Ninth Princes.
The Ninth Princes of the Blackwater Dynasty was about 20 years old. He was handsome and had a faint smile on his face. He wore a black dragon robe, and his eyes were filled with a sharp and intimidating aura. His cultivation was obviously not weak.
The Seon Of Silla said, "The tribute was written in the contract back then. Today, the Blackwater Dynasty wants to renegotiate?"
"Times are changing. The content of the contract must change too."
The Ninth Princes said calmly, "This time, we're discussing the tribute of spirit crystals. We need to increase it from one million to two million every year."
"Two million every year?" The ministers in the hall were shocked.
Although the Seon Of Silla could afford to pay two million Spiritual Crystals, it would be a huge blow to their strength. They would need to plunder all the families in the dynasty in order to gather two million Spiritual Crystals. The consequence of doing so would be that the common people would have no way to make a living, and it would definitely cause the warriors to rebel.
An elderly minister walked out. This was the prime minister of the dynasty. He suppressed the anger in his heart and said, "Your Highness Ninth Princes, your Blackwater Dynasty wants to tear up the contract. Aren't you afraid that the other three dynasties will have an opinion?"
"It seems you don't understand what I'm saying. Our Blackwater dynasty has come to discuss the matter of the tribute. We haven't even discussed it yet, have we?
Why are you in such a hurry? "the Nine Princes said lazily.
He looked at the ministers with a faint smile on his face and said, "Seon Of Silla, look at your ministers. None of them have any brains. It must have been hard on you."
"Impudent!" A military general spoke. His gaze was like lightning as he pressured the Nine Princes.
"Peng!"
Another person walked out from behind the Nine Princes. He also emitted a powerful aura that pressured back. The aura was like the mountains and the seas, causing the military general to groan and take a few steps back.
"Seon Of Silla, is this how your dynasty treats its guests? Do you want to start a war with our Blackwater dynasty?" the Nine Princes said.
The Seon Of Silla who was sitting on the throne squinted his eyes. The person who blocked the attack of the military general seemed ordinary, but his cultivation base was already at the upper level of the lesser celestial realm. If the Seon Of Silla didn't have the support of luck, it would take some effort to defeat him.
The Seon Of Silla retracted his gaze and looked at the Nine Princes. "Nine Princes, I wonder what your Blackwater dynasty wants to talk about?"
The Nine Princes smiled and said, "Simple. We are all martial artists. Let's use martial arts to decide the winner. Of course, it would be too boring if the older generation fought. Why don't we let the younger generation fight? This way, I can see the strength of the younger generation of the Seon Of Silla."
"Your Xuan Dynasty has the Profound Lake Banquet, while our Black Water Dynasty has the Hunting Banquet. Why don't we use the strongest people from the two banquets to have a duel? There will be five rounds. If you win, the tributes will stop here. If we win, then the tributes will be increased to two million as we said."
In order to attract talents, the five dynasties would hold a competition banquet every ten years or so. For example, the Profound Lake Banquet of the Seon Of Silla, the Hunting Banquet of the Blackwater dynasty, the Heaven Wind Banquet of the Wind dynasty, etc.
The Hunting Banquet of the Blackwater dynasty was to hunt ferocious beasts. The ranking would be determined by the number of ferocious beasts killed and their level.
The Seon Of Silla thought for a while and said, "Alright, I promise you. Three days later, at the training ground thirty miles away from the Royal City."
"Hehe, the Seon Of Silla is indeed straightforward. Goodbye." The Nine Princes revealed a smile of success and left the hall.
"Emperor, the Blackwater dynasty is coming. I'm afraid things won't be so simple." After the Nine Princes left, an official said.
"The Blackwater dynasty is a mid-tier dynasty. These years, their national strength has been growing day by day. I'm afraid they have the intention to attack the other dynasties. The discussion about offering tributes might be a cover."
"The Blackwater dynasty is ambitious. I'm afraid things won't be so simple. If they don't have the confidence to win, they won't make such a request."
In the hall, many officials were discussing.
The Seon Of Silla waved his hand and said in a low voice, "General Guard Wei, go and invite Ye Xingchen and the others. I want to teach them well. Also, order the guards to investigate which young experts will be attending the Hunting Banquet of the Blackwater dynasty."
"Yes," the armored guard leader said.
In just fifteen minutes, the request made by the Blackwater dynasty in the Royal Palace spread throughout the Royal City. Then, the news of the duel between the younger generation of the two dynasties was spread. It would be held three days later at the training ground outside the Royal City.
For a moment, many warriors in the Royal City were in an uproar.
"Raising the tributes to two million spirit crystals. The Blackwater dynasty is going too far."
"The people of the Blackwater dynasty are a bunch of wild beasts who eat people without spitting out the bones."
"I hope we can win the duel in three days."
Different voices sounded in various places in the Royal City.
Two hours later, Ye Xingchen received Wang Yu. He was escorted to the Royal Palace by the soldiers sent by General Guard Wei.
In the Royal Palace, besides them, Yang Xingkong, Tian Gang, Di Sha, and Mo Yunxue were also there.
The Seon Of Silla looked at them and said, "You should know that this duel is very important to the dynasties. We can only win. We can't lose."
Tian Gang's eyes were full of fighting spirit. He said, "Emperor, don't worry. I will definitely defeat those people."
Ye Xingchen didn't say anything. He also didn't like the Blackwater dynasty. The other dynasties were relatively peaceful, but in the Blackwater dynasty, killing was a common thing. Especially the warriors of the Demonic Alliance, who were the most numerous in the Blackwater dynasty.
The Seon Of Silla looked at Ye Xingchen and said, "Ye Xingchen, are you confident?"
"I will do my best," Ye Xingchen said calmly.
The Seon Of Silla continued: "There are still three days until the duel. In these three days, I will personally guide you in your cultivation. Also, the list of the young experts of the Blackwater dynasty will be delivered soon. At that time, you will need to understand your opponents' cultivation and battle prowess in order to prepare."
Ye Xingchen was sitting in a meditative pose inside a secret chamber in the Royal Palace. It was connected to the underground spirit vein and had an extremely dense spirit energy. On the table in front of him, there was a burning Spirit Incense that could calm the mind of a cultivator.
Ye Xingchen was preparing to break through to the True Fate realm after reading the information on the young generation of the Blackwater dynasty.
