The evolution of the Demon Insects required the cultivator's own flesh and blood to nurture them.
In addition, at the beginning of cultivation, the cultivator had to use his own soul power to nurture a special kind of insect egg.
This process was very tedious and risky. However, with Luo Tianjun's guidance, Ye Chen was able to easily nurture the Demon Insect eggs.
"Are these the eggs of the demonic insects?" On the Wolf Island, Ye Chen curiously glanced at the eggs in front of him.
These insect eggs looked like pebbles, but there were clear inscriptions on the surface of the insect eggs.
Through these inscriptions, Ye Chen could clearly sense that there was a life being born inside the insect eggs.
Just by using his own soul power, he was able to create a brand new life form. This kind of power made Ye Chen feel extremely shocked.
It should be known that although an expert like Yang Xuanji could distort reality, he could not create life out of thin air.
Ye Chen was a Supreme Dao warrior, but at this moment, he could create such special life forms.
Of course, Ye Chen also knew that these Demon Insects were somewhat special. Strictly speaking, they could not be considered life forms.
However, even so, it was still extremely shocking.
Ye Chen even began to suspect that Luo Tianjun's strength was even more terrifying than Yang Xuanji's.
As for questions about his own strength, as long as Ye Chen asked, Luo Tianjun would immediately change the topic. He would not directly answer Ye Chen's question.
"Don't think too much at this time. Start nurturing the Demon Insects immediately."
Just as Ye Chen's mind was filled with thoughts, Luo Tianjun's reprimanding voice suddenly rang in his ears.
Ye Chen nodded and withdrew his consciousness. He turned his attention to the insect eggs in front of him.
"There are as many as 17,300 Demon Insect eggs. If I want to nurture so many Demon Insects, I will need at least half of my blood essence." Glancing at the insect eggs, Ye Chen estimated.
Ye Chen's physical body was quite strong, but losing half of his blood essence was still a big burden for him.
Fortunately, as long as the Demon Insects were nurtured, the amount of flesh and blood they needed to consume in the future would be greatly reduced. With the strength of Ye Chen's physical body, he could definitely withstand it.
Nurturing 17,300 Demon Insects in one go was the best result Ye Chen and Luo Tianjun had come up with after careful calculations.
With the strength of Ye Chen's physical body, nurturing these Demon Insects would have the least impact on him. If there were more Demon Insects, Ye Chen's body would not be able to withstand it.
Stretching his arm, Ye Chen's finger, Ye Chen's to, Ye Chen's, Ye Chen's, Ye Chen's Demon insect eggs. of Ye Chen's to the Demon insects.
Before the blood landed on the ground, it was divided into equal portions and landed on the Demon Insect eggs below.
Ka-cha!
After absorbing Ye Chen's blood, cracks began to appear on the surface of the eggs.
"Ye Chen, activate the Demon God's Eye. Let the light of the Demon God's Eye envelop these eggs." At this critical moment, even Luo Tianjun's tone became more serious.
Ye Chen nodded and sent his Soul Power into the Demon God's Eye. Then, he threw the Demon God's Eye out.
The Demon God's Eye released a clear ray of light. This ray of light shone straight down and enveloped the Demon Insect eggs below.
From Ye Chen's angle, he could clearly see that the Demon God's Eye had begun to absorb the light emitted by the Demon God's Eye.
As the rays of light were absorbed, more and more cracks appeared on the surface of the Demon Insect eggs below.
This situation lasted for about the time it took to brew a cup of tea. The outer shell of the first Demon Insect egg finally cracked completely. A ferocious-looking Demon Insect that looked like a black poisonous insect crawled out of the egg.
Hiss!
As soon as it was born, the Demon Insect let out a horrifying cry.
Immediately after, the Demon Insect suddenly turned around and stared at Ye Chen with its pitch-black eyes. It seemed like it would rush up and devour Ye Chen's flesh in the next moment.
This unforeseen event made Ye Chen nervous.
Whether or not these Demon Insects were under his control would depend on this moment.
Ka-cha!
After the birth of the first Demon Insect, the eggs behind it cracked open one after another. Demon Insects appeared in front of Ye Chen one after another.
What surprised Ye Chen was that these Demon Insects didn't have a fixed shape. Almost every Demon Insect had its own unique appearance.
After these Demon Insects appeared, they screeched like the first Demon Insect and immediately turned to Ye Chen. Their emotionless eyes stared at Ye Chen.
Under Ye Chen's nervous gaze, these Demon Insects didn't rush up to attack Ye Chen in the end. Instead, they slowly retreated a few steps until they were below the Demon God's Eye.
After the last Demon Insect was born, Luo Tianjun's smug voice sounded in Ye Chen's ear. "It's done. Ye Chen, although there was a little unforeseen event, these Demon Insects still meet our requirements."
Ye Chen said helplessly, "Senior, I've already tried. These Demon Insects aren't under my control at all."
The situation that Ye Chen was most worried about had happened.
Logically speaking, after these Demon Insects were refined, they should have formed some kind of unique connection with Ye Chen and recognized him as their master. If any outsiders came near, Ye Chen would be able to control these Demon Insects and attack them.
However, Ye Chen couldn't sense the existence of these Demon Insects at all.
Under the circumstances, it was already fortunate that these Demon Insects didn't attack Ye Chen, let alone Ye Chen controlling them.
"If I were to tell you that I am unable to control these demonic insects, would you be so shocked that your face would change color?"
Luo Tianjun chuckled mischievously. "The reason you nurtured these demonic insects was to help you defend this island. Although they haven't acknowledged you as their master, they haven't attacked you either. That's enough."
According to Ye Chen and Luo Tianjun's plan, these Demon Insects were cultivated using Ye Chen's flesh and the power of the Demon God's Eye. In this way, these Demon Insects would either be under Ye Chen's control or the Demon God's Eye's influence.
But in reality, the situation that Ye Chen and Luo Tianjun had predicted didn't happen.
A third situation that exceeded Ye Chen and Luo Tianjun's predictions had occurred with these Demon Insects.
That was, these Demon Insects had completely lost control.
Not only were these Demon Insects not under Ye Chen's control, but they also weren't affected by the Demon God's Eye.
The only thing worth rejoicing over was that although these Demon Insects hadn't recognized Ye Chen as their master, they didn't treat Ye Chen as an enemy either.
After learning this from Luo Tianjun, Ye Chen was speechless.
These Demon Insects were so powerful. If they could be controlled by Ye Chen, Ye Chen would be able to sweep through the entire Myriad Star Island with the help of these Demon Insects.
However, these Demon Insects had actually lost control.
Of course, as Luo Tianjun had said, although these Demon Insects had lost control, Ye Chen's original goal had been achieved.
Although these Demon Insects weren't under Ye Chen's control, as long as the Demon God's Eye remained on Wolf Island, they would also stay on Wolf Island.
In this way, Wolf Island would become a forbidden area for all martialists except Ye Chen.
