It was Chen Mo's first time entering the underground maze of the Quicksand Rift Valley.
There were many posts about the underground maze on the forum, but he had never seen it with his own eyes.
This underground labyrinth was not a square labyrinth. Instead, it was made up of crisscrossing layers of sand.
The underground maze was surrounded by sand and layers of sand. There were even quicksand in some places. If one stepped on it carelessly, one would die.
The quicksand wasn't the only danger in the Chrysalis Tunnel. In this underground maze, the giant sandworms that appeared in the Chrysalis Tunnel were the most terrifying.
The giant sandworms were huge and almost blocked the entire tunnel. Once they appeared, one had to either retreat or kill them.
However, it was not easy to kill the giant sandworms. Many people even guessed that the tunnel was created by the giant sandworms.
The reason why the terrain of the underground maze changed was because the large sandworms changed the shape and position of their cocoon tunnels as they burrowed through the tunnels.
When he appeared in the tunnel, there were three directions to choose from. Not Short of Money did not move recklessly. He took out a black sandworm and fed it a gold coin.
A black sandworm?
Chen Mo was shocked when he saw this.
He knew that there were three types of sandworm. The silver sandworm was silver and the golden sandworm was gold. However, Chen Mo remembered that the normal sandworm was white. What was up with this black sandworm?
It seemed that there were too many secrets in this game.
In Chen Mo's eyes, this person who didn't lack money gradually became more and more mysterious.
At first, he thought that Not Short of Money was a nouveau riche. However, the more he interacted with him, the more he felt that he was not simple.
The black sandworm was probably rarer than the golden sandworm. Otherwise, Lian Hongyu would have seen it before.
Lian Hongyu, a merchant, had never seen it before. Not Short of Money took it out and used it.
Not Short of Money did not intend to tell him, so Chen Mo did not ask.
After the black sandworm ate the gold coin, its body wriggled a few times as if it was digesting the gold coin. Then, its thumb-sized head turned to the tunnel on the left.
"Let's go." Not Short of Money kept the black sandworm and waved his hand to let another Shield Knight lead the way.
"Are you curious?
I obtained this item before the Great Quicksand Rift was discovered, "Money Not Lacking in Money said with a smile.
He was not showing off, but declaring his ability.
He did this just to let Chen Mo know that there was something about him that was worth associating with.
As for Chen Mo, he couldn't help but be secretly shocked when he heard that he didn't lack money.
His words about not lacking money naturally had the best effect.
"There might be quicksand ahead."
The group walked for a long distance in the Chrysalis Tunnel. From time to time, they would encounter sandworms, sandmen, and other monsters. However, Chen Mo and the others easily killed them all.
As for the fact that he didn't lack money, he didn't need to do anything. He only needed to protect his own life. This was also why there were two Shield Knights in the team.
The Shield Knight walked in front of them. When they came across a large stretch of soft sand, he stopped and reported to Not Lacking Money.
"Wind."
If it was any other player team, they would have to retreat and choose another item if they weren't sure if there was quicksand ahead. However, he naturally wouldn't do that. He looked at the Mage in the team.
"Got it." Wind nodded. He passed through the team and walked from the back to the front.
Wind waved his staff, and a gust of wind blew through the Chrysalis Tunnel. He buffed himself with a wind-type skill.
Following that, Wind strode forward.
After walking for a while, when he walked with the wind on a piece of sand, the sand under his feet flowed down to the ground with a crash.
This was quicksand. Players who stepped on quicksand would be trapped in it and unable to extricate themselves. They could only wait for death.
However, Wind acted as if nothing had happened. He walked to the edge of the quicksand and walked straight through it.
When the Shield Knight behind him saw this, he took a detour and walked through the edge of the quicksand.
Chen Mo nodded slightly. Not Lacking in Money had indeed come prepared. However, he didn't know what he wanted.
It couldn't be the same thing as Joanna, right?
Thinking of this, Chen Mo couldn't help but feel a headache. If that was the case, he could only give up on Joanna's quest and face the pursuit of Qiannan.
"Boss Qian, what are you looking for?
It can't be a stone-like item, right? "
Chen Mo thought about it and decided to ask. If there really was a conflict, he could think of a way to deal with Joanna in advance.
"Stone-like item?
No. "Not Lacking in Money shook his head.
When Chen Mo heard this, his heart relaxed.
The following road wasn't peaceful. Monsters appeared from time to time. They also encountered quicksand a few times. However, with Wind around, the quicksand didn't harm them at all.
On the road, there were some people who didn't know what was good for them and wanted to kill them for their treasures. In the end, they were easily sent back to the city by the five of them.
Other than Chen Mo, Wind and the warriors in the team were quite skilled and had excellent equipment. Chen Mo could tell at a glance that Wind and the warriors' weapons and accessories were all Purple Quality.
Looking at the two of them, it was unlikely that they could buy these equipment. They probably didn't lack in money. Not Lacking in Money was really generous.
The black Sand Corpse Worm kept eating gold coins. Every time it ate, it would eat one more coin than the previous time.
The six of them walked in the maze for more than an hour. They used the Black Sand Corpse Worm to show them the way 11 times. They didn't know how long it would take for them to reach Not Lacking in Money. They had already used up 70 gold coins on the way.
Seventy gold coins were equivalent to sixty thousand yuan. Seventy thousand yuan was gone just like that.
After walking for another half an hour, the Black Sand Corpse Worm identified the direction again. Not long after they walked, the yellow and white sand on the side of the chrysalis suddenly turned into grayish-black sand.
"Great!
We're almost there! "
Not Lacking in Money was very interested when he saw this.
"Be careful, the monster is highly poisonous!"
A black Sand Corpse Worm appeared. The Shield Knight warned when he came into contact with it.
The Priest went forward and used Dispel on the Shield Knight. However, the Shield Knight was still poisoned and Dispel was ineffective.
While poisoned, the Shield Knight was hit and his HP dropped rapidly. The Shield Knight had more than 13,000 HP. However, when he fought with the black Sand Corpse Worm, his HP dropped by more than 3,000.
This was a Shield Knight. If it was an ordinary player, they would have lost their lives.
Not only Wind, but even Chen Mo's face turned serious when he saw this.
Anyone could see that if they didn't kill the black Sand Corpse Worm quickly, even the Priest wouldn't be able to heal them in time. The poison damage could be stacked. This was no secret. If they didn't kill the black Sand Corpse Worm quickly, the poison damage would become more and more terrifying.
Chen Mo didn't hold back. He called out Ceci Hailow.
Ceci Hailow went forward and blocked the black Sand Corpse Worm with the Shield Knight.
The black Sand Corpse Worm's attacks landed on Ceci Hailow. Although Ceci Hailow's HP dropped, the amount of HP she lost was much slower than the Shield Knight.
Chen Mo was stunned when he saw this. When did Ceci Hailow have such strong poison resistance?
Chen Mo's first thought was of what had happened in the blood pool in the bloody cave yesterday.
It seemed that Ceci Hailow didn't just steal the skill. Her Hidden Attribute had also been improved. It was just that Chen Mo couldn't see it.
With Ceci Hailow's help, the situation immediately eased a little.
However, the number of black Sand Corpse Worms that appeared in the grayish-black Chrysalis Tunnel was still quite high. After a few battles, the party had no choice but to rest for a while before continuing.
"Large Black Sand Corpse Worm!"
However, the six of them suddenly stopped in their tracks.
Large Black Sand Corpse Worms were almost invincible in the Chrysalis Tunnel!
Before coming here, the six of them had encountered Large Black Sand Corpse Worms twice on their way here.
When other parties encountered Large Black Sand Corpse Worms, they would naturally run away. However, Not Short of Money could only go forward if they wanted to go.
However, it wasn't impossible to deal with Large Black Sand Corpse Worms.
The reason why Sand Corpse Worms were so expensive was because they were used to feed Large Black Sand Corpse Worms.
As long as a Sand Corpse Worm was thrown in front of a Large Black Sand Corpse Worm, the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm would bite it and leave a path for the party.
"Throw a Sand Corpse Worm over and try," Not Short of Money said calmly.
The Shield Knight nodded. He took out a normal Sand Corpse Worm from his backpack and threw it at the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm.
However, the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm didn't even look at the Sand Corpse Worm on the ground. Instead, it stared fiercely at the six of them.
The six of them could tell that if they dared to move, the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm would charge over immediately!
"Silver!"
Not Short of Money said expressionlessly.
The Shield Knight threw a Silver Sand Corpse Worm over without hesitation.
The Large Black Sand Corpse Worm still didn't react. However, it looked at Not Short of Money maliciously.
The Large Black Sand Corpse Worm was the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm's favorite. The party looked at Not Short of Money. They knew that the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm had its eyes on Not Short of Money's Black Sand Corpse Worm.
"Silent Master, are you confident in killing this big guy?" Not Short of Money asked with a frown.
"It might be possible outside, but it's impossible here."
Chen Mo shook his head. This was the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm's nest. Players couldn't fight with them at all.
Previously, a small Black Sand Corpse Worm had already caused them a lot of trouble. Now that the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm was enraged, the six of them had nowhere to hide.
In such a narrow space, they had no chance of winning if they were to fight the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm head-on.
Not Short of Money nodded. He was just asking casually.
Looking at the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm, Not Short of Money didn't hesitate. He took out the Black Sand Corpse Worm from his backpack and threw it in front of the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm.
The Large Black Sand Corpse Worm pounced over excitedly. After swallowing the Black Sand Corpse Worm, it curled up its body and retreated.
Chen Mo had a whole new level of respect for Not Short of Money. If it were him, he might not have been so decisive.
After all, he had the Black Sand Corpse Worm. He could find another time to feed the Black Sand Corpse Worm to the Large Black Sand Corpse Worm. If he didn't succeed this time, he would have completely lost his chance.
