Boom!
Under the night sky, You Ji's body was as fast as lightning, leaving a trail of golden light in its wake. She swung her golden greatsword at the black silhouette.
The black silhouette raised its daggers to block You Ji's attack. Previously, it had done this to prevent You Ji's attacks from dealing too much damage to it. Then, it counterattacked with its other pair of hands, putting You Ji at a disadvantage.
This time, it repeated its old trick, but You Ji's attack was incomparably powerful. Under You Ji's attack, the black figure's huge body was fiercely smashed into a building a few meters away, letting out a loud bang. At the same time, a huge damage of close to 50,000 floated up above its head.
"Roar!"
The black silhouette let out an angry roar. Its body curled up, and like a spring, it charged at You Ji from a few meters away.
"So fast!"
The angry black silhouette's speed was astonishing. If it hadn't shot at You Ji but Chen Mo instead, Chen Mo reckoned that he would've died.
However, You Ji's speed was even faster. Before the black silhouette could reach her, she had already appeared beside the black silhouette and slashed down with her golden greatsword.
This time, the black silhouette didn't even have time to block before it was hit by You Ji's greatsword.
Another tens of thousands of damage. After this attack, You Ji didn't have the slightest intention of letting down her guard. Golden sword light rained down on the black silhouette like a storm.
Chen Mo finally understood how powerful You Ji was after using [War God Possession]. The black silhouette had four arms, but it still couldn't defend against You Ji's fierce attacks. In just a blink of an eye, the black silhouette had already lost over a million HP.
As the black silhouette's HP dropped, it roared again and again. However, no matter how much it roared, You Ji continued to slash at it expressionlessly.
Boom!
You Ji slashed down with her sword again. The black silhouette couldn't block it and was once again sent flying into the building behind it.
According to the current situation, although the black silhouette's HP wasn't low, it wouldn't be long before it was depleted under You Ji's frenzied attacks.
However, this time, when the black silhouette slowly stood up from the ground, its posture changed.
The black figure's four arms hung low, and his body was slightly bent, as if he was seriously injured.
However, Chen Mo's observation skills were incomparably sharp. Under the night sky, he could tell at a glance that the black figure had undergone some sort of change.
"As expected!"
This change became more and more obvious. Within a few seconds, the slightly curved black body began to emit a bloody aura.
A low howl like that of a wolf came out of the black figure's mouth. The black figure's eyes turned blood red as he stared coldly at You Ji.
Facing the mutated black figure, You Ji was not afraid at all. She was like a Valkyrie, standing straight in the middle of the street with her golden greatsword in her hands.
"Stop waiting, attack it!"
The Blood Qi on the black figure was getting stronger and stronger. Chen Mo had a bad feeling and hurriedly said to You Ji.
If this continued, the black figure would become even more powerful.
"Ha!"
You Ji didn't wait any longer. As Chen Mo spoke, she grabbed the greatsword with both hands and viciously swung it from left to right at the black figure.
The black figure was more than two meters tall. If it was hit by You Ji's attack, it wouldn't be strange if its body was split in half.
Facing You Ji's fierce attack, the black figure, shrouded in Blood Qi, seemed to have lost its ability to judge. It actually used its hands to grab You Ji's greatsword.
"You're courting death!" You Ji coldly shouted.
Boom!
However, what caused You Ji and Chen Mo to furrow their brows was the fact that the black silhouette's palm had been struck by the greatsword, but its body had only been pushed back 3-4 meters. The distance it had been pushed back wasn't as far as it had been before, and You Ji's damage had dropped from nearly -50,000 to -30,000.
"Sword of Judgement!"
After being pushed back, the black figure rose from the ground and charged at You Ji again.
You Ji looked at the strange black figure and straightened the greatsword in her hand. A pure white light appeared, replacing the golden light on the greatsword.
Sword of Judgement was a sub-skill that could only be used in the state of War God's Possession. Under normal circumstances, the Sword of Judgement wouldn't increase the attack power by much. However, when dealing with certain special monsters, the Sword of Judgement could display an extremely powerful attack power.
The greatsword emitting holy light slashed at the black figure that was charging at You Ji.
"Ga!"
The black figure suddenly let out a strange cry. You Ji's attack actually dealt an extremely high damage of nearly 70,000!
"As expected!" You Ji knew that she had guessed correctly.
You Ji's body moved, and she chased after the black figure.
The black figure's body stabilized again. Looking at the greatsword in You Ji's hand, its blood-red eyes revealed a trace of fear.
You Ji's greatsword was about to land on the black figure's body and begin a new round of attacks. However, at this moment, the black figure's ears under the black robe twitched slightly. Then, its body abruptly retreated, choosing to escape.
"Chase!
Don't let it escape! "
This was a rare opportunity. Chen Mo quickly took the lead and chased after it.
However, this black figure was far more familiar with Katrin's terrain than Chen Mo and You Ji. Chen Mo and You Ji tried their best to chase after it. Unfortunately, the two of them completely lost track of the black figure in the night.
"It escaped."
You Ji was very unwilling. If she could catch this monster, she could report back to Chen Mo. Chen Mo's progress in taking over Katrin would also be much faster.
"There's no other way. The other party is more familiar with the terrain than us. Moreover, it's night. Otherwise, it wouldn't have escaped so easily."
Chen Mo nodded, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
During the day, he had walked around Katrin Town. He had been here before and had quite an impression of it.
The reason was very simple. Not far from where the two of them were, the town's mayor, Sindeli, lived.
Chen Mo came here to try his luck and see if he could meet Sindeli. However, in the end, he couldn't even enter the building where Sindeli lived.
"Let's go take a look."
Chen Mo thought for a moment and brought You Ji to Sindeli's small manor, which was a few dozen meters away.
Sindeli's house wasn't small. It was a small manor with a steel fence surrounding it.
The steel fence was only a little over two meters high. If they wanted to climb over it, it would be easy.
Chen Mo had already tried during the day, but he didn't succeed. When his hand grabbed the steel fence, a huge guard dog the size of a calf appeared in the garden.
The guard dog glared at Chen Mo. Of course, Chen Mo didn't dare to act recklessly.
It was the middle of the night and there weren't any players around. However, when Chen Mo and You Ji approached Hindley's manor, before they could even put their hands on the fence, a giant watchdog appeared behind the fence and stared at the two of them. It was very bold.
"You think it escaped inside?" You Ji looked at the guard dog and asked.
"It's very likely." Chen Mo nodded.
The black figure disappeared in this area. If it was a coincidence, it would be too much of a coincidence.
On the other hand, if the black figure was actually controlled by Sindeli, then everything would be clear.
However, this was still Chen Mo's guess. He didn't have any concrete evidence.
Chen Mo wanted to rush into Sindeli's house and find the black figure, but he didn't have any evidence. If he barged into the mayor's house and got caught, he wouldn't just be locked up for a few hours like in a normal city.
Katrin was a place without NPC guards. Most of the time, if you did something bad, you wouldn't have to worry about being caught by the guards. However, because there were no guards, the town's local laws were all thought up by Sindeli.
If you barged into Sindeli's house and got caught, the punishment would be extremely severe.
It was said that someone had barged into Sindeli's house and got caught by Sindeli's guards and was locked up for almost a week.
Even Chen Mo didn't dare to barge in recklessly.
However, if he didn't go in, he wouldn't be able to get any further information.
"Let's go back first."
Even if he really barged into Sindeli's house, he might not be able to find any clues. Chen Mo thought about it and decided to go back first to see what was going on.
Tonight, You Ji had already fought with the monster that appeared in the middle of the night. Her understanding of the monster and Katrin's abnormality wasn't completely unknown.
The breakthrough point was undoubtedly the mysterious mayor, Sindeli. The next morning, Chen Mo went out alone again. He wanted to talk to the NPCs again to see if he could find any more clues.
However, before he could get any useful information from the NPCs, Chen Mo noticed that there was a small tail behind him.
"What's wrong? Are you here to die?" Chen Mo looked at Rolled Paper behind him and asked with a frown.
This guy was a little strange today. He only followed behind him and didn't attack him.
"I want to fight you again!
Yesterday, I died unjustly. Last night, I studied your skills. Your trap skill is no longer a threat to me! "
Rolled Paper walked up and said to Chen Mo eagerly.
This guy really seemed to be a PK maniac. He was also a guy who didn't want to admit defeat.
"I don't have time to play with you … Hmm, okay, I can fight you again. This time, I won't use the trap skill from yesterday. However, if you lose, you have to answer some questions about this town."
Chen Mo didn't want to waste time with Rolled Paper, but he suddenly remembered that if he wanted to ask about Sindeli, other than NPCs, players who had stayed here for a long time would definitely know a lot.
"Okay." Rolled Paper didn't even think about it and agreed.
The two of them officially started the battle. Chen Mo didn't plan to use the Vortex Trap skill, let alone the Crimson Cage skill.
However, with Chen Mo holding back, Rolled Paper, the young Assassin, was quickly defeated by Chen Mo again.
Rolled Paper's speed wasn't as fast as Chen Mo's, and his battle awareness wasn't as high as Chen Mo's. Although Chen Mo only used the Basic Trap, Shock Trap, and Thorn Trap, he still relied on the convenience of the fixed skills to easily defeat Rolled Paper.
