Chen Mo crept closer, hoping to catch the fugitive and the two unicorns in one fell swoop.
However, the two unicorns were very alert. When Chen Mo was about thirty to forty meters away, the two unicorns suddenly looked in Chen Mo's direction in shock.
Following that, the two unicorns raised their limbs and fled deeper into the cave. Seeing that the situation was bad, the fugitive also hurriedly fled forward.
"Still trying to escape?"
Chen Mo hurriedly chased after them. He originally thought that the two unicorns and the fugitive couldn't have gotten far inside the cave. However, that wasn't the case. After a while, he discovered that the cave wasn't sealed. Aside from the entrance to the valley, there was another exit on the other side of the cave.
"Let's see where you can run to!"
The cave was dark and winding. Chen Mo's speed advantage couldn't be fully utilized. After chasing for a while, he still couldn't catch up. However, when he exited from the other side of the cave and arrived at a vast grassland, Chen Mo's speed increased explosively. He quickly caught up to the two unicorns.
The two unicorns were shocked. They carried the fugitive and took to the air again.
Chen Mo immediately summoned the Dark Phoenix and had it chase after them.
The Dark Phoenix was faster than the unicorns. The two unicorns didn't fly very far before the Dark Phoenix caught up to them.
On the Dark Phoenix's back, Chen Mo started attacking the two unicorns with his crossbow.
The two unicorns tried to dodge in the air, but they weren't small. With Chen Mo's observation skills, it was very difficult for them to avoid Chen Mo's attacks.
Under Chen Mo's relentless attacks, the two unicorns' health dropped rapidly. Seeing this, the fugitive on top hurriedly shouted, "Split up and run!"
Split up and run?
Seeing this, Chen Mo raised an eyebrow. A golden light flashed on his hand as he activated the advanced form of the Golden Seal.
He originally wanted to be a little more frugal. After all, the Golden Seal didn't have much effect on the unicorns if he didn't use the advanced form. Moreover, using the advanced form would cost him at least a thousand gold coins.
Although he had made some money recently, his expenses were also huge. He wanted to save as much as he could.
However, if the two unicorns wanted to escape in different directions, he had no choice but to use the advanced form of the Golden Mark.
Two golden arrows shot towards the unicorns that were trying to escape in different directions. The two unicorns' bodies stiffened, and they immediately fell from the sky.
Boom!
Two or three explosions rang out as the two unicorns and the fugitive fell from the sky, instantly losing hundreds of thousands of HP.
The two unicorns and the fugitive didn't care too much. They hurriedly struggled to get up from the ground, wanting to escape again.
However, Chen Mo had already taken advantage of their landing to rush to their side and use Crimson Cage.
When Crimson Cage activated, the fugitive and the two Unicorns became caged birds.
The fugitive and the two unicorns turned pale with fright as they were trapped in the Crimson Cage. Chen Mo didn't hesitate as he charged forward.
Crimson Cage only lasted for three minutes. If he wanted to kill the fugitive and heavily injure the two unicorns, he would need a lot of time.
Whether it was the fugitive or the unicorns, they both had a lot of HP. Chen Mo hadn't been in a hurry to use the Golden Seal to knock them down because he wanted to whittle down their HP while they were in the air.
However, he didn't need to subdue the fugitive and the two unicorns within three minutes. As long as he killed the fugitive and subdued one unicorn, the remaining unicorns wouldn't be able to escape even if they didn't have Crimson Cage.
While Chen Mo was fighting fiercely inside the Crimson Cage, a figure in the distance was also rushing towards Chen Mo's location.
The scene of him fighting the two unicorns in the air was too eye-catching. Although this area was very remote and there weren't many players here for the time being, there were still people who saw it and rushed over.
The appearance of two unicorns at the same time was a great attraction to any player who came to the fifth floor.
This player quickly arrived where Chen Mo and the unicorns were. Looking at the Crimson Cage skill, he frowned slightly. He gave it a try, but after discovering that it was impossible to enter, he decided to just wait outside the Crimson Cage.
Inside the Crimson Cage, the Level 55 fugitive was naturally no match for Chen Mo. Chen Mo and the Blood Shadow Doppelganger first killed the fugitive, then dealt with the two unicorns.
The two unicorns were tangled up with the Black Phoenix. The Black Phoenix clearly enjoyed bullying the two unicorns. The two unicorns were only cubs and were afraid of the adult Black Phoenix. Chen Mo was a little surprised that the Black Phoenix was able to suppress the two unicorns.
Originally, he had the Black Phoenix deal with the two unicorns because he didn't want the two unicorns to interfere with him killing the fugitive. He didn't expect the Black Phoenix to be the unicorns' nemesis, helping him deal a lot of damage.
While chasing in the air, he had already dealt a lot of damage to the two unicorns. When the two unicorns fell to the ground, they also lost several hundred thousand damage. Killing the fugitive didn't take much time. It seemed that he could capture the two unicorns in three minutes without worrying about them escaping.
Chen Mo increased his output, and the two unicorns' health rapidly decreased. Although they resisted with all their might, they were still heavily injured by Chen Mo.
System Notice: You have successfully captured the unicorns!
Chen Mo used a beast-catching rope and wrapped it around the two unicorns. Instantly, the two unicorns turned into rays of white light and entered his bag.
"Good, quest complete!"
After reaching the fifth floor, apart from spending some time chasing after the two unicorns, the total time spent was much less than the time spent on the third and fourth floors. Moreover, it wasn't just the fugitive; he had also captured two unicorns, exceeding the requirements of the quest.
The crimson mist dissipated. Chen Mo sat on the Black Phoenix, intending to return the way he came and find the quest NPC to hand in the quest.
However, when the mist dissipated, Chen Mo couldn't help but be stunned when he saw the player waiting outside the Crimson Cage.
The player was the same when he saw Chen Mo.
"It's you?"
When the player outside saw Chen Mo, he couldn't help but be surprised.
There were so many players in the Holy Continent. He didn't expect to see Chen Mo here at all.
"I didn't expect to see you here again, Nine Ears!
It's been a long time since we last met. I have quite a few questions for you, "Chen Mo said slowly.
This player who had come after hearing the news was none other than the alien civilization's Nine Ears, who had come in contact with Chen Mo a few times before.
Originally, the game's continent had been invaded by abyssal monsters, and all the players on the continent had migrated to the Holy Continent. Chen Mo had always wondered where those players from the alien civilization had migrated to.
There were only five continents in the Holy Continent. If they had also migrated to the Holy Continent, it was impossible for there to be no news of them.
Previously, the players on Earth hadn't discovered them because the game's regions on the original continent had been separated. However, now that they were gathered on the same Holy Continent, the two sides should have frequent contact.
However, the reality was that the first batch of players to arrive on the Holy Continent had been here for nearly a month, yet there was no news of the alien civilization's players.
Therefore, Chen Mo was very curious about where the alien civilization's players had gone.
In the end, they hadn't migrated to the Holy Continent. Perhaps they had migrated to some place that the players hadn't discovered yet.
Meeting Nine Ears here was a great opportunity for Chen Mo to solve his doubts.
"Originally, I was only here to chase after the Unicorn. If it's you, then it's even better.
In the past, I couldn't beat you, but the current me can't be compared to the past. I can defeat you and take the Unicorn! "Nine Ears' fighting spirit soared when he saw Chen Mo.
"Hold on.
The current me, ignoring everything else, is extremely confident in my speed. If I want to leave, no one can stop me. If you want to fight me, it's very simple. Let's make a bet.
If you can beat me, I can give you both unicorns. If I win, I don't want anything else. I just want you to answer some of my questions. "Chen Mo's heart stirred when he heard this, and he said.
Nine Ears was slightly stunned. Looking at the Black Phoenix beside Chen Mo, he felt that Chen Mo wasn't lying.
"Sure, but I have a condition. I'll only answer one of your questions. Also, I won't tell you why we're in this game. As for the other questions, you can ask as much as you want," Nine Ears said after thinking for a while.
"One is too little. Moreover, if you don't answer the most important question, what's the point of asking you?"
Chen Mo was extremely dissatisfied when he heard this.
"I know the conditions are disadvantageous to you, but the initiative is in my hands. Even if you don't agree, you have to agree. If you don't agree, I'll chase after you. If I can't stop you from leaving, I'll give up." Nine Ears chuckled.
"Fine, one then. Don't go back on your word," Chen Mo said indifferently, knowing that there was no room for negotiation.
If he could ask a question, at least he would know something. It was better than not knowing anything.
"If that's the case, then come at me. Let's see who's stronger!"
Nine Ears looked at Chen Mo in high spirits. His body moved, and he charged at Chen Mo.
He was an assassin. When other assassins fought in PK, they would use stealth to ambush, trying to decide the outcome of the battle in one fell swoop.
However, Nine Ears had no intention of going into stealth. He charged at Chen Mo like a warrior.
Chen Mo squinted his eyes at Nine Ears. After not seeing him for a few months, Nine Ears must have improved tremendously.
Whoosh!
While he was still halfway, Nine Ears' body suddenly shook. Behind him, a series of illusions appeared. It was as though there were a few Nine Ears moving at the same time.
When he got close to Chen Mo, the phantoms behind Nine Ears started to solidify one by one, as though they were real.
Six Nine Ears!
When Nine Ears was only 20 meters away from Chen Mo, there were already six Nine Ears in front of Chen Mo.
Normally, only one of the six Nine-eared Nine Ears was real, while the rest were fake. However, under the Nine-eared Nine Ears' control, the six Nine-eared Nine Ears left their original trajectories and surrounded Chen Mo with different footsteps and movements.
Were the six Nine Ears real or fake?
Golden Mark!
Wave Breaker!
Chen Mo did not care. He did not plan to tangle with Nine Ears for long. The moment he attacked, he used Golden Mark and Wave Breaker.
The combination of these two skills was the best combination for group battles.
Regardless of whether the six Nine Ears were real or fake, once Golden Mark and Wave Breaker were used, Nine Ears had nowhere to hide.
…
The first one was even worse.
