The demon's roar had already appeared, so it was likely that the demon would appear in the next moment.
However, when Chen Mo turned around to check the battle situation when the demon appeared, he could not help but be stunned when he looked behind him.
As he had expected, a huge black shadow suddenly appeared on the ground below Marshall. After the black shadow appeared, it opened its huge mouth and bit at Marshall in the sky.
Of course, Marshall would not let the demon attack him. In fact, he was already at a height where the demon could not bite him, but he still flapped his wings and flew higher to be safe.
However, something that Chen Mo and Marshall did not expect happened.
The demon on the ground did not bite Marshall. It only bit the air. However, the lower half of Marshall's body in the sky instantly disappeared, leaving only half of his upper body floating in the air.
The demon's bite had bitten off half of Marshall's body!
"You're a demon … Shadow Devourer?
Weren't you wiped out long ago? "
Marshall looked at the half of his body that had been bitten off in disbelief. He looked at the gigantic black demon below. When he saw that the demon did not even have a shadow under the sunlight, he immediately thought of a demon with special abilities.
Demon Shadow Devourer. This demon's attack was very special. Attacking the shadow was the same as attacking the main body, but it devoured its own shadow.
This demon had caused huge casualties in history and was very difficult to deal with. However, as far as Marshall knew, Demon Shadow Devourer should have been wiped out long ago. Otherwise, if he knew that this demon was Demon Shadow Devourer, he would not have underestimated it and had half of his body bitten off.
However, it was too late to say anything. With half of his body bitten off by Demon Shadow Devourer, even if he was a ten-winged angel, there was no chance of survival unless a holy priest cast a god-level Great Recovery on him.
However, holy priests were rare to begin with. Even the holy angels did not have a god-level Great Recovery. Simply put, he was doomed.
Although he was about to die, Marshall still looked expressionlessly at Demon Shadow Devourer below.
Demon Shadow Devourer did not have a shadow, but in fact, Demon Shadow Devourer below was like a black shadow. Its physical body could not be seen. At a glance, one could only see a pair of ferocious and ruthless huge eyes in the black gas.
"Ga ga ga!"
The Evil Demon Shadow Swallowing Shadow let out a strange, pleased laugh from below. It opened its mouth wide, preparing to swallow the remaining half of Marshall's body.
"Arrogant!"
However, Marshall, who was in the sky, looked at the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer and shouted coldly.
Following that, Marshall's body exploded with a loud bang, turning into a ray of holy white light.
The white light in the air quickly divided into three parts, forming three dazzling crosses.
Boom!
Three glowing crosses fell from the sky like three bolts of lightning. In the blink of an eye, they stabbed into the body of the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer.
"Ahhhhhh!!!!"
In an instant, the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer let out a painful cry.
"The demon was pinned to the ground?"
Chen Mo hurriedly looked over carefully and saw that the Demon Shadow Devourer was nailed to the ground by three light crosses. No matter how the Demon Shadow Devourer twisted its body, it couldn't escape from the three light crosses.
The pain from the Demon Devour slowly turned into anger.
It had finally managed to escape from the seal for a long time, but it was immediately sealed again.
Although the seal this time was only temporary and couldn't be maintained for long, it was still extremely angry.
Chen Mo didn't expect this either. He only wanted to watch the battle between Marshall and Saintess Moon Cicada, but he ended up witnessing the death of the ten-winged angel and the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer being sealed again.
With the ten-winged angel dead and the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer sealed, Chen Mo knew that the angel would definitely send someone to deal with the Evil Demon that couldn't fight back soon.
Now was a rare opportunity to approach the Evil Demon without being in danger. Chen Mo quickly weighed the pros and cons, wondering if he should go forward and what benefits he could gain if he did.
However, just as Chen Mo had this thought, Chen Mo suddenly saw a black figure in front of him, leaping toward the Evil Demon.
Other than him, there was someone else watching the battle?
Chen Mo was shocked and hurriedly looked over.
He was quite a distance away from the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer. The figure leaped out from the other side, and he couldn't stop it even if he wanted to.
The figure flew in front of the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer and suddenly stood up.
"It's her?
The elf, Jessica? "
Chen Mo looked at the figure and couldn't help but be shocked.
The figure had a pair of black elf wings on her back. Chen Mo recognized at a glance that it was Jessica, who had a lot of relationships with him.
"This woman, it wasn't easy for her to escape the power of darkness, and now she wants to get involved with the Evil Demon. Is she crazy?"
Chen Mo also didn't expect Jessica to be so crazy.
Previously, when she was troubled by the power of darkness, it was thanks to him using his Eternal Power that she was free.
Now, this woman didn't learn her lesson. Seeing the opportunity, she actually wanted to get involved with the Evil Demon.
If anything happened after getting involved with the Evil Demon, even Chen Mo wouldn't be able to help her.
Thinking of this, Chen Mo planned to come out and stop Jessica.
If something happened to this woman, his previous help would be in vain. This woman had promised to help him with three things, but she hadn't done any of them.
However, Jessica clearly came prepared. She stood firm and a magic scroll appeared in her hand. The magic scroll flashed, and then she flew away quickly.
Chen Mo looked at Jessica's departing figure and knew that it was useless to call out to her. He could only stop in his tracks.
After Jessica left, there was no other movement around. Chen Mo shook his head and quickly walked forward to the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer.
Since Jessica could safely appear in front of the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer and take something from it and leave, he wouldn't have any safety issues approaching the Evil Demon.
Chen Mo naturally wouldn't miss such an opportunity to get close to the Evil Demon.
When he arrived in front of the Evil Demon, Chen Mo realized that the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer was very different from the Evil Demon Black Mud he released last time.
The Evil Demon Black Mud was like a black mud on the ground, while the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer was like a black fog with two pairs of big eyes on the fog.
"Roar!"
Seeing Chen Mo approach, the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer roared angrily.
However, Chen Mo ignored it and tried to attack the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer.
However, when his attack landed on the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer, it was as if he had hit a void and didn't cause any damage to it.
Chen Mo shook his head. He knew that his attack was too weak and couldn't even break through the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer's defense.
Chen Mo looked at the three light crosses on the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer's body.
From afar, he could only see three dazzling crosses. When he looked closer, he realized that the three crosses were surrounded by golden magic runes. The black fog on the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer's body kept surging over and trying to invade the three crosses, but the black fog would disperse as soon as it got close to the golden magic runes.
Chen Mo originally wanted to try touching the three crosses, but he didn't dare to act rashly. The light crosses clearly had the ability to automatically defend against enemies. If he wasn't careful, he would be attacked by the golden magic runes.
If the golden magic runes that even the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer couldn't do anything to hit him, he would undoubtedly be killed instantly.
Chen Mo then tried the methods he could think of. In the end, other than a series of question marks on the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer's attributes when he used the Detection skill, he didn't find anything.
Chen Mo sighed. He knew that he was still too far away from the Evil Demon. Before his third class advancement, he wouldn't even be able to touch the Evil Demon.
Thinking back, Enoch was really lucky to be able to scare away the Evil Demon Black Mud with the aura of the Demoness Clan.
If the Evil Demon Black Mud hadn't left, Katrin definitely wouldn't have been able to survive that time.
Chen Mo gave up on probing the Evil Demon Shadow Devourer and walked to the Saintess Moon Cicada's side.
In the end, he didn't have time to attack the Saintess Moon Cicada, so she was still alive.
After thinking about it, Chen Mo carried the Saintess Moon Cicada on his back and walked toward Gray Feather City, which wasn't too far away.
Along the way, Chen Mo ran into a Celestial Clan member who was hurrying over.
"Thank you, esteemed adventurer friend. You should leave this place as soon as possible. It's not safe here anymore."
A Celestial Clan member carried the unconscious Saintess Moon Cicada and said gratefully to Chen Mo.
…
The second scene was even worse.
