Now that he had completed his quest, Chen Mo returned to the orchard without hesitation.
Returning to the orchard, Chen Mo looked at the Devil Fruit Tree that was surrounded by a large group of monsters from afar.
"There are mainly three types of monsters: the Steel Mantis, the Flame Bird, and the one that looks like a leopard man with scythe-like hands and a pair of wings on its back. Could it be the Winged Hunter?"
Chen Mo carefully observed the monsters surrounding the Devil Fruit Tree.
There were three types of monsters. Chen Mo's attention was mainly on the strange monsters.
Chen Mo could roughly guess the skills of the Steel Mantis and the Flame Bird. However, Chen Mo suspected that the monster he had never seen before was the Winged Hunter.
Martial Beast City had researched the Shadow Strike skill based on the Winged Hunter. If this monster was a Winged Hunter, he would have to be careful.
A monster that could catch the eye of Martial Beast City was definitely not simple.
"It really is a Winged Hunter!"
Chen Mo cautiously approached the monsters, quickly using a Detection Skill on one of them.
[Winged Hunter] (Level 70)
Level 70 monsters were not scary, but the problem was the Winged Hunter. According to the Winged Hunter's Flying Shadow skill on the Beast Warrior Skill Stone Tablet, the Winged Hunter's speed would definitely be astonishing. Once it attacked, there would be no way out.
Moreover, this was the center of the monster nest. Although Chen Mo had yet to see a decent Boss, just the small monsters here were enough to make him unbearable.
If all the monsters here had a chain of aggro and alerted the Winged Hunter, it would be very difficult for him to escape.
Not to mention, he did not only have to escape now. He had to snatch the Devil Fruit and return to the Devil's Roar Skill Tablet to learn the skill before leaving.
The process was simple, but because there were too many unknown factors, Chen Mo had no idea what the consequences would be once he made a move.
Glancing at the Winged Hunter and the large group of monsters behind it, Chen Mo weighed the pros and cons in his mind.
The worst outcome was that all the monsters had a chain of aggro. That would be the same as stirring up a hornet's nest. However, after weighing the pros and cons, Chen Mo decided to act immediately.
He had to gather enough contribution points as soon as possible and leave the Abyss. He didn't know when he would return again.
In the Holy Continent, Catelyn's crisis had not been resolved. The stronger he was, the more confident he would be when fighting against others.
Here, even if all the monsters were alerted by him, Chen Mo was quite confident that he could escape from the monster army.
His judgment was amazing. As long as the monsters did not surround him tightly, he would be able to find a safe escape route.
Even if his path was blocked by monsters, he still had his wings and could fly past them.
Even if there were many abyssal monsters, it would not be easy to kill him.
Deciding to attack, Chen Mo looked at the three groups of monsters and quickly decided on which group to break through.
Steel Mantis!
Chen Mo didn't think for long before he decided that the breakthrough point was the Steel Mantis.
The Steel Mantis looked like a powerful monster with high defense and powerful attack. It had almost no weaknesses.
However, compared to the Flaming Bird and the Winged Hunter, the Steel Mantis was obviously easier to deal with.
No matter how powerful the Steel Mantis' attack was, it would be useless if it couldn't hit Chen Mo.
The Flaming Bird undoubtedly knew fire magic. A single Flaming Bird's fire magic might not be scary, but if a large group of Flaming Birds attacked together, the situation would be terrifying.
As for the Winged Hunter, Chen Mo didn't know how fast the Winged Hunter could be. However, he was sure that it was definitely not slow. Invading from where they were was definitely asking for trouble.
Chen Mo silently observed the Steel Mantis' activity pattern for a while. After he had an idea, he no longer hesitated and rushed toward where the Steel Mantis was.
Ga ga!!!
Previously, when Chen Mo shuttled back and forth in the group of monsters, the monsters ignored him.
Now, as soon as he got close to the Steel Mantis, the large group of Steel Mantis entered battle mode one by one. They stared at Chen Mo with hostility and let out unpleasant warnings.
Chen Mo ignored them and continued to approach.
The Steel Mantis was suddenly enraged. One by one, they raised their scythes and at the same time, the thin wings on their backs spread out. They flew toward Chen Mo in groups.
"Damn it, they are so big, their wings are so small, and they can fly!"
Chen Mo couldn't help but curse when he saw them.
Each Steel Mantis was the size of a small car. The wings on their backs were like cicada's wings, very thin and light.
When Chen Mo observed them, they were all walking on the ground and couldn't fly. Chen Mo estimated that they were too heavy to fly. Chen Mo chose the Steel Mantis as a breakthrough point because they couldn't fly. The Flaming Bird and the Winged Hunter could fly.
However, the reality was obviously different from Chen Mo's guess. The wings of the Steel Mantis were not for decoration. They were huge, but they could fly, and their flying movements were very flexible.
There were only about a hundred Steel Mantises, but they were huge in size. Over a hundred Steel Mantises flew towards Chen Mo as if they were blotting out the sky and covering the earth. Their aura was astonishing. Most people would be frightened before they even made a move.
Things were unexpected, but Chen Mo was used to big scenes. He didn't retreat. Instead, he moved and continued to run toward the Devil Fruit.
Just as he had expected, the monsters here all had a chain of aggro. The large group of small monsters behind him, as well as the Flaming Birds and Winged Hunters further away, were all alarmed. All of them were in a state of chaos.
However, they hadn't really moved yet. They were just watching the Steel Mantis move.
The Steel Mantis undoubtedly had a certain status here. When the Steel Mantis could deal with the intruders, they wouldn't attack.
Therefore, it was best for Chen Mo to run toward the Steel Mantis. Once he was out of the attack range of the Steel Mantis, the surrounding monsters would attack him together.
Brush!
Brush!
Brush!
Chen Mo ran toward the Devil Fruit. One by one, the Steel Mantis smashed down on him from mid-air.
However, Chen Mo's figure flashed repeatedly, and the attacks of the Steel Mantis missed.
However, the Steel Mantis' reaction was very fast. After their attacks missed and landed, they rushed toward Chen Mo from the ground again, faster than when they were in the air.
Both in the air and on the ground. If one's observation ability and reaction ability were not enough, they would be hit by the Steel Mantis.
With the attack ability of the Steel Mantis, they would be killed instantly.
Chen Mo was not afraid of being killed instantly, but if he was hit once, it would be almost impossible to dodge again.
It was like a car collision in a thriller movie. The scene in front of him was very thrilling.
However, among the Steel Mantis, Chen Mo's figure was still stable. He was not disturbed by the attacks of the Steel Mantis.
As long as his footsteps were not disturbed, the Steel Mantis had no chance of hitting Chen Mo.
"Squeak Squeak Squeak!!!"
Seeing that the Steel Mantis couldn't do anything to Chen Mo, the Winged Hunter, who was watching from the other side, suddenly let out a sharp squeak.
Then, a pair of thin wings appeared on the back of the Winged Hunter.
Chen Mo heard the sound and looked over. He couldn't help but be surprised.
After the Winged Hunter flapped their wings, their bodies rushed through the air at an amazing speed. Chen Mo looked over and could see that behind their wings, there were waves of distorted space ripples.
Compared to the Flying Shadow Attack he learned, the Winged Hunter's speed was much faster.
He was afraid that the real power of the Flying Shadow Attack skill would only be revealed after killing the target.
Thinking of this, Chen Mo looked forward to the Flying Shadow Attack skill even more. Unfortunately, the Abyssal Monster's HP was too high. He couldn't kill it in ten seconds, even with the Blood Corrosion Potion.
The Winged Hunter was approaching at such an amazing speed. If they were to reach him, it would be really troublesome.
Chen Mo no longer held back. He shouted softly and activated his Agility attribute.
Originally, he wanted to activate his Agility attribute only when he escaped, but if he didn't activate his Agility attribute now, he couldn't even get close to the Devil Fruit. It was useless to stay.
Activating his Agility attribute and spreading his Angel Wings, Chen Mo's speed also increased. In an instant, he was a lot closer to the Devil Fruit.
Seeing this, the Flaming Birds could no longer sit still. One by one, they flapped their fiery red wings and rushed toward Chen Mo.
The Steel Mantis chased from behind, the Winged Hunter intercepted from the side, and the Flaming Birds flew from the other side of the Devil Fruit.
As long as the three sides converged, they would be able to surround Chen Mo.
Moreover, there were also groups of monsters further away. Each of them roared angrily as they charged over aggressively.
If someone saw this, they would think that the person in front of them was dead.
The fact was almost the same. If he was surrounded, Chen Mo would have no way to escape.
But before the three sides of monsters converged, Chen Mo successfully reached the Devil Fruit Tree.
The Steel Mantis, Winged Hunter, and Flaming Birds roared angrily when they saw this. Chen Mo ignored them and quickly flew to the only Devil Fruit.
"Sure enough, I need to read the progress bar!
Ten seconds! "
As soon as he touched it, a progress bar appeared in front of Chen Mo.
If he wanted to pick the Devil Fruit, he had to spend ten seconds.
Ten seconds was not a long time, but it was enough for the three types of monsters to fly over and kill the person who wanted to steal the fruit eight to ten times.
The three types of guardian monsters only needed three seconds to fly to the Devil Fruit.
Other players, even if they were lucky enough to reach the Devil Fruit, faced with the ten-second progress bar, they could only give up in despair.
But Chen Mo had already expected this. The Devil Fruit was a super rare item. He didn't think that it would be easy to pick it.
Spatial Rift!
Advanced Form of Golden Mark!
Spatial Storm!
Chen Mo stood where he was and waited for the three groups of angry monsters to approach him.
When they were almost in front of him, Chen Mo fiercely used three skills in a row.
Suddenly, the golden spatial storm swept everything around him.
Even the level 70 abyssal monsters were unable to move in the face of the Advanced Form of Golden Mark.
However, the Advanced Form of Golden Mark could only bind the three types of monsters for two seconds at most. It was impossible for Chen Mo to take advantage of this opportunity to pick the Devil Fruit.
Chen Mo, of course, knew very well that he did not pick the Devil Fruit.
It was only after seeing that the three types of monsters around him were bound by the Golden Mark that Chen Mo used the fourth skill.
Spatial Devour!
The three types of monsters were high level and strong enough. Originally, it would be very difficult for the Spatial Devour skill to swallow them.
But with Chen Mo's preparation, the three types of monsters bound by the Golden Mark were crazily sucked into the Spatial Rift the moment the skill appeared.
Almost two-thirds of the three types of monsters disappeared in just two or three seconds.
Spatial Shatter!
At this time, Chen Mo used the Spatial Shatter skill!
Crack ~ ~ ~
A crisp sound was heard. The surrounding space suddenly shattered quietly, revealing a large area of dark space.
The Spatial Rift that Chen Mo had just created naturally disappeared. The two-thirds of the monsters that were sucked in would never be able to return.
In the blink of an eye, Chen Mo had easily wiped out two-thirds of the powerful guardian monster!
Not only was the Spatial Rift destroyed, but under Chen Mo's control, the Devil Fruit's trunk also disappeared in the Spatial Rift. The remaining Devil Fruit and leaves fell from the sky.
If they fell into the dark space below, the Devil Fruit would completely disappear.
Chen Mo was already prepared. He took a few steps forward and grabbed the Devil Fruit.
Although the trunk was gone, if he wanted to get the Devil Fruit, he still had to read the progress bar for ten seconds.
Ten seconds was not long.
Chen Mo glanced at the monsters nearby and was not too worried.
There were still many monsters. They were all frantically attacking the broken space, making it very slow to repair.
Seeing this, Chen Mo smiled slightly. He knew that the Devil Fruit could not run away.
So far, it was just as he had guessed. He could smoothly get the Devil Fruit.
Ten seconds passed in the blink of an eye, and the Devil Fruit was successfully obtained.
The three guardian monsters were still frantically attacking the broken space. They did not cause any damage to Chen Mo, but Chen Mo knew that if this continued, he would really be trapped in the monster army.
After swallowing the Devil Fruit, Chen Mo confirmed the system prompt. Then his body moved and rushed out of the broken space.
He was still very safe inside, but he could not go on like this. He had to take advantage of the fact that the monsters had not completely gathered to escape.
As soon as Chen Mo came out of the broken space, the three guardian monsters around him launched a fierce attack on him.
Blood Shadow Teleport!
There were only a dozen Winged Hunters left. However, if Chen Mo did not use Blood Shadow Teleport, he would not be able to escape from the Winged Hunter's attack. The Winged Hunter's speed was unexpectedly fast.
The Winged Hunter's attack missed, and Chen Mo had already teleported into the group of monsters.
There were no gaps around him. The large group of monsters roared and squeezed toward Chen Mo.
Chen Mo furrowed his brows. There was no longer any path for him to stand on.
There was no other way.
Chen Mo spread his wings and flew into the air. He flew over the heads of the monsters and flew toward the Devil's Roar Skill Stone Tablet.
However, things were obviously not that simple. When Chen Mo flew into the air, a large number of flying monsters suddenly flew around him.
A large group of flying monsters rushed toward Chen Mo. Chen Mo's face was solemn. When the group of monsters was about to hit him, he used Blood Shadow Teleport again to avoid the attack.
However, after avoiding the attack, Chen Mo was not far away from the orchard.
Out of the orchard, the terrain was not so open. It would not be easy for the monsters to surround him.
Chen Mo tried his best to escape. The surrounding monsters could not catch up with him. Except for the three guardian monsters, the other low-level abyssal monsters had given up on chasing after Chen Mo.
Soon, Chen Mo escaped from the orchard. The three guardian monsters also chased after him.
However, it was naturally impossible for them to catch up with Chen Mo in a place with buildings.
Chen Mo did not spend too much time returning to the Skill Stone Tablet.
System Notification: The conditions have been met. You have learned the skill "Devil's Roar"!
Chen Mo moved his hand quickly and the Devil's Roar skill was acquired!
