However, Alfate did not give up. Two days later, he organized another group of members and launched another sneak attack.
However, the result was the same. This time, Chen Mo even used a Teleportation Scroll to teleport over immediately, causing the Great Alliance's attack to fail.
After this failure, the Great Alliance's members lost all confidence in reclaiming their territory.
The Great Alliance's members had originally gathered together for the sake of benefits. Now that they felt that there was no hope of a comeback, over the next two days, many of the Great Alliance's members left the guild. Although Alfate tried his best to persuade them to stay, it was of no use.
At this time, Chen Mo had already risen to Level 68 due to the high EXP in the Abyss Region.
However, among the players in the Abyss Region, there were already some who had reached Level 71.
However, there was not much of a difference between Level 71 and Level 68.
"Expert, we've just received an important piece of news regarding Star Guild!"
After reaching Level 68, Chen Mo continued to immerse himself in leveling. After all, his goal was to reach Level 80 for his third class promotion.
However, at noon on this day, he received a call from Xiluo.
Xiluo was very concerned about Chen Mo's matters. Over the past few days, he would regularly contact Chen Mo, informing Chen Mo of the major events that had occurred in and out of Star Iron City.
However, Star Guild had not made any moves until Xiluo sent him a message.
"Let's hear it." Chen Mo's spirits were roused. Constantly immersing himself in leveling was very boring. He wanted to change his mind.
"It's like this. Near the teleportation gate from the first floor to the second floor, there is a forest called the Phantom Forest.
Originally, the first floor's abyssal monsters are between Level 60 and Level 70. However, Level 75 abyssal monsters frequently appear in the Phantom Forest, and their Attributes are often very high. Hence, nobody dares to enter the forest.
Over the past few days, our people have noticed that Star Guild's actions are a little strange. After secretly tracking them, we discovered that Star Guild's members seem to be planning something in the Phantom Forest.
They have purchased many materials related to spatial magic. Although we don't know their specific uses, they are definitely up to something! "
Xiluo quickly explained.
Phantom Forest.
Chen Mo had also heard of this strange forest.
Near the Phantom Forest was a teleportation gate that connected the first floor to the second floor. Players could teleport to the second floor from the teleportation gate, and they could also teleport back to the first floor from the second floor.
Monsters, on the other hand, would usually only roar a few times when they saw the players teleporting away from the portal, and would no longer pursue them.
In Star Iron City, there was a saying about the portals in the Abyss.
Rumor had it that, for unknown reasons, abyssal monsters would suffer a severe reduction in their Basic Attributes. Hence, abyssal monsters wouldn't approach the teleportation gate.
Abyssal monsters that came out of the Teleportation Gate had their Attributes greatly reduced. On the other hand, abyssal monsters of the same level that came out of the Phantom Forest had much stronger Attributes.
Chen Mo's interest was immediately piqued when he saw what Star Guild, which was also a financial group, was preparing to do in the Phantom Forest.
After asking Xiluo a few more questions about Star Guild, Chen Mo immediately sprinted towards the Specter Forest.
The Star Fortune Association was jointly established by the financial groups. Since even the members of the Star Guild had been mobilized, it could be seen that the financial groups' preparations in the Phantom Forest were basically complete. They were only one or two steps away.
Chen Mo had to hurry over as soon as possible, or else he might be one step behind.
"Heh, the timing is just right!"
When Chen Mo arrived at the Phantom Forest, he happened to see over a hundred people entering the forest.
Although the Phantom Forest's name sounded frightening, aside from the powerful abyssal monsters that came out of it, it was only an ordinary forest. At first glance, it didn't look much different from any other place.
Among these hundred people, there were members of Star Guild, but there were also quite a few. They should be the various elite members of the financial groups.
They were extremely familiar with the Phantom Forest's routes. It was obvious that this wasn't their first time here. They didn't kill any monsters along the way and directly headed towards the depths of the Phantom Forest.
Chen Mo used Camouflage to stealthily follow behind them. If he wanted to hide, these people naturally wouldn't be able to discover him.
After walking for over half an hour, the hundred people had successfully entered the depths of the Phantom Forest.
Following them, Chen Mo felt that they couldn't be more familiar with the Phantom Forest. If it were him, it would take him at least an hour and a half to reach this place.
Meanwhile, their large group, including the time they spent fighting monsters, had only taken them a little over half an hour.
"They're here."
In the depths of the Phantom Forest, there was already a large group of people waiting for their arrival.
There were also over a hundred people inside. Moreover, each of these people looked much stronger than the hundred people who had just entered.
Chen Mo estimated that the hundred people who had just entered were just a logistics team.
These financial groups were truly powerful. Although they didn't have any heaven-defying experts, they definitely didn't lack expert players.
Among the hundred people inside, Chen Mo saw quite a few familiar faces.
Florence, Charles III, the Scarlet Knight, and even the Middle Eastern Prince Shamu who had once summoned the Mythical Mother were among them.
These people definitely weren't here to simply level up. If they wanted to level up, there were plenty of better places. Only those who had nothing better to do would come all the way here to level up.
Chen Mo looked around the group of people and discovered that there were some obvious differences between this place and the rest of the Phantom Forest.
The normal forest had turned into a grayish-black, barren rocky ground. This area had a radius of over a hundred meters, and in the center of the grayish-black rocky ground, there were several cracks. Faintly, a black aura could be seen floating out from the cracks.
There were already traces of a magic array on the surrounding ground. As for what kind of magic array it was, Chen Mo wasn't familiar with it, so he couldn't tell.
"Stop dilly-dallying. We've already wasted a lot of time. Hurry up and get ready!"
Charles III shouted at the hundred players who had just arrived.
Many of the two groups of players started trading. Then, the large group took the resources they had obtained and continued to set up the magic array on the ground.
"Looks like we'll be done in another hour."
Florence looked at the busy crowd and said indifferently.
"Actually, this is already considered pretty good. This special spatial destruction magic is originally a large-scale magic, and the space we're destroying this time is even more special. It's already pretty good to have this kind of progress."
The Scarlet Knight added.
Chen Mo didn't dare to get too close. He only secretly watched from afar. He couldn't hear the conversation between Florence and the Scarlet Knight, but after watching for a while, he could guess that this was a huge magic array related to space.
What were the financial groups planning to do by setting up a spatial magic array here?
Chen Mo had no idea. However, his mind was spinning rapidly, and he already had several plans.
