What made Chen Mo wary was that the Death Reaper did not die in the end. Instead, it escaped when it was hit by the guards until it only had one-third of its HP left.
Although they did not show up in the end, Chen Mo knew that the consortium's information was correct. The people behind this incident were indeed the agent and Capcom.
Just like the various incidents in the past, what these two people did in the game was harmful to others and not beneficial to themselves. They were trying to sabotage the game.
Judging from the results, these two people were successful this time.
The effect of a satellite town on capturing a castle was still unknown. However, the loss of a satellite town would definitely affect the capture of Castle No. 3.
Moreover, nearly 2,000 third class advancement players were directly driven out of The Last Land by them.
These 2,000 players were the first batch of third class advancement players in the game. They were very powerful.
Although their number was only a small portion of the total number of players, without them, the capture of the castle would definitely be delayed.
These two people must have other motives for not letting the Death Reaper die. However, no one knew what their next step was.
…
Primordial City had roughly returned to normal. Chen Mo was not in a hurry to leave and meet up with You Ji.
There was never a lack of merchants in the game. The Last Land map was special. There were magical creatures such as Treasure Stealing Gnomes, Fate Elves, and Greedy Gnomes. It was not easy for ordinary players to encounter them. Naturally, a special type of merchant appeared in The Last Land.
This type of merchant specialized in collecting information about special monsters in The Last Land and then sold it for money.
Chen Mo did not know about their existence at first. It was not until Florence told him about the three special creatures. When he mentioned it to Lian Hongyu, Lian Hongyu told him that there were merchants who made a living in The Last Land.
"Are you Honest Man?"
Chen Mo found a plain-looking middle-aged man in the trading area of Primordial City, who indeed looked somewhat honest.
"I am. Brother, what do you want to buy? Everything is here." Honest Man glanced at Chen Mo and replied.
"Lian Hongyu introduced me. I heard that you can buy some information about the location of monsters." Chen Mo directly mentioned Lian Hongyu's name.
"Oh, indeed.
However, I have always been honest with the old and the young. Even if an acquaintance introduces me, I will not give any special benefits.
Currently, I could provide information on the locations of the Treasure Stealing Gnomes, Fate Elves, and Greedy Gnomes. Of course, whether or not they appeared depended on luck. It wasn't something that could be found just because one wanted to.
If you're interested, you'll have to pay the basic fee of 10 gold coins. Once the monster you want to know about appears, I'll contact you immediately.
However, regardless of whether you arrive in time or not, the 10 gold coins fee will be used up. You must continue to pay the fee to obtain the location of the next monster.
Of course, if you think it's too expensive, you can also become a monster information provider for free. Once you discover information about these three types of monsters, you can contact me and you'll receive at least 50 gold coins. The more people buy the information, the more you'll receive.
Of course, in order to ensure the authenticity of the information, you need to do some things according to what I said. "
The honest man said in one breath. From his words, it was clear that he did not recognize Chen Mo.
"Understood. This is 100 gold coins in advance. I want to know about the Treasure Stealing Gnomes, Fate Elves, and Greedy Gnomes as soon as possible."
Chen Mo did not say much to the honest man and directly handed him 100 gold coins.
"No problem. However, I have to remind you that the Fate Elves and Greedy Gnomes are fine, but I don't recommend the Treasure Stealing Gnomes. The Treasure Stealing Gnomes are very vigilant. Often, when a player discovers it, it will also discover the player and escape. If you're not nearby, it's very difficult to kill it.
There's another reason. Although the people who discover the Treasure Stealing Gnomes will share the information with me, they will usually kill the Treasure Stealing Gnomes themselves. I can't guarantee anything. "
The honest man took the money and suggested.
"It's fine. Just contact me when the time comes."
Chen Mo waved his hand and added the honest man as a friend. He then turned around and left.
A hundred or so gold coins was nothing to him. If he was lucky, the Treasure Stealing Gnomes would be near his leveling spot and he would be able to earn it back immediately.
"So it was him. No wonder he was so straightforward."
After adding Chen Mo as a friend, the honest man muttered.
… …
"You know me?"
When Chen Mo was still in Primitive City, You Ji, who was leveling near Satellite Town No. 5, saw a strange-looking beauty appear.
This beauty's skin was a little transparent. At a glance, it was a little difficult to see clearly.
When this beauty appeared, she stared at You Ji for a while.
However, You Ji was sure that she had never seen this beauty before. If she had seen her before, she would not have forgotten.
So You Ji could not help but ask.
"Are you an adventurer or a native?"
The beauty looked at the approaching You Ji and suddenly asked.
"Adventurer."
You Ji replied. She was originally a native, but she had become an adventurer.
"Sorry to disturb you. You look a little like a native I've seen before."
The beauty nodded. Her figure flashed and soon disappeared.
"Strange person. Could it be that she has seen my previous self?"
You Ji frowned. Now that she had changed into adventurer's equipment, her image was quite different from before. It was not surprising that those who had seen her before could not confirm if it was her because they were not familiar with her.
But the problem was that she had never seen this beauty before. If she had seen her before, she would definitely have some impression.
This beauty's cold face and magical skin were unforgettable to anyone who laid eyes on her.
While You Ji was still curious, Chen Mo rushed back.
You Ji could not help but immediately tell Chen Mo about the beauty.
"Her skin is a little translucent?"
When Chen Mo heard this, he could not help but feel strange.
You Ji said that this beauty was an NPC, but among the NPC beauties he knew, there was no such person.
However, when he asked in detail and You Ji told him the situation at that time, Chen Mo suddenly thought of one person!
The cold face was tolerant. Beside her, he felt a trace of cold breath and translucent skin.
Overall, it was very likely that it was Ceci Hailow!
Among all the NPCs, Ceci Hailow was undoubtedly the one who had changed the most. She had obtained the water elemental core and after her third transformation, it was not strange that her appearance had changed greatly.
What made Chen Mo feel strange was that when had Ceci Hailow seen You Ji?
Ceci Hailow and You Ji should have never met before.
However, Chen Mo did not think too much. After asking You Ji's direction, he chased after her.
If it was really Ceci Hailow, he would have obtained a great help.
…
The first thing was even worse.
