The fighter jet was extremely fast. The sound of gunfire and the roar of the jet engine pierced their eardrums, mixed with a trace of extremely thin low-frequency sound waves.
Under the bright moonlight and the flames caused by the explosion, the figure of the Insect Queen appeared in their field of vision. It was like a bloated airship that slowly floated forward. Its huge body was still white and tender, but the swarm of insects around it had become sparse. Only three giant insects surrounded it and constantly let out ear-piercing screeches. Layers of sound waves spread to the surroundings.
More than a dozen fighter jets surrounded it and fired rockets at it from afar. They did not dare to get close. When the giant insects jumped on the ground, their instantaneous speed was very fast, but their flying speed was ordinary, far inferior to the fighter jets.
Once the fighter jets got close, they would be attacked by the invisible sound waves. Most of the pilots were ordinary people, so they could not withstand the impact of the infrasound waves. Even if they shot from afar, a few fighter jets were still flying crookedly. Obviously, the pilots were still affected by the sound waves.
The light red cocoon covering the Insect Queen's body was unknown. It looked like a thin layer of semi-transparent, but its defense was amazing. When the rockets hit it, there were only layers of ripples. There was no sign of it being broken.
Luo Kai took control of the machine gun and aimed at the Insect Queen. Da Da Da! Dazzling flames burst out as the thumb-sized bullets hit the light red cocoon, causing ripples. It was like a drop of water falling into the sea, but it didn't cause much of a ripple.
"Brother Luo, what should we do?"
"Get close."
Luo Kai said coldly. After that, he punched the windshield above his head and stood up. He slowly pulled out the Blade of Dismemberment from behind his back.
Yan Fei was shocked. "Brother Luo, what are you doing?" Yan Fei asked. "What are you doing?"
"I'm going to see if I can break the Insect Queen's shield."
"But how will you come back?"
Luo Kai glanced at him and said, "Aren't you very good at flying? Just catch me."
"Ah!" Yan Fei was stunned.
Since Luo Kai said so, he was naturally very confident. Ever since he had consumed the Azure Dragon's brain, his physical fitness had increased explosively. It was as if there was an unlimited amount of energy in his body that he could use. The increase in his strength gave him a strong confidence. Moreover, with his current physical strength, he wouldn't die even if he fell from a high altitude.
Yan Fei's face was filled with reverence. Naturally, he could only do as he was told. As he gradually approached the Insect Queen, a huge insect screeched and rushed over.
Luo Kai took a deep breath and jumped down from the fighter. He tossed out a ball-shaped object, which transformed into a thin black line. It wrapped tightly around the lower limb of the flying giant insect. With a strong pull, he flew over.
At that moment, his mind was clearer than ever. Everything around him seemed to be in slow motion. In his eyes, there was nothing but the giant insect. The Blade of Dismemberment in his hand turned into a silver thunderbolt and slashed towards the insect with an unstoppable force. A rain of blood fell from the sky. The giant insect turned into two pieces and fell to the ground.
Luo Kai stepped on half of the corpse and threw the metal ball in his hand again. It wrapped around the lower limb of another giant insect. The blade flashed like a silver waterfall. It seemed that another giant insect was about to be cut down by the blade.
At that moment, the white flesh-like Insect Queen let out a sharp chirp. Just as the light was about to hit it, ripples appeared in the air. It was as if there was a powerful force twisting the void. The blade inexplicably appeared on the right side of the Insect Queen and missed its target.
Luo Kai's face looked serious. Just then, there seemed to be a powerful spiritual will that interfered with his judgment of space. He did not know if it was an illusion or if it was because of the interference. He pulled the black line and extended his body upward. Just like last time, when the blade was about to hit, there was a brief moment of chaos in his mind. When he woke up, the blade had been moved to another place.
The Insect Queen seemed to be able to use a powerful ability to move something around to another place. Could it have mastered the illusory spatial ability of the six types of energy?
The situation became dangerous. Luo Kai felt that he sometimes appeared on the left side of the Insect Queen, and sometimes on the right side. His sense of space became chaotic, and even his consciousness was a little blurry. There was a powerful spiritual power that was interfering with the operation of his consciousness.
The giant insect that was tightly wrapped around by him was angrily squeaking. It even opened its mouth to bite the black line on its hind limb. However, the black line was made of the body of an extraterrestrial being. It was extremely tough, and the giant insect could not do anything to it. Its angry compound eyes were red, and it bit its own lower limb. With a crack, the hind limb was bitten off. Luo Kai immediately fell down like a kite with a broken string.
Yan Fei's flying skills were not to be underestimated. At the critical moment, it dove down and caught Luo Kai. The fighter was hit by Luo Kai, and it flew forward in a crooked manner.
Luo Kai shook his head, grabbed half of the wing, and stood up again. When he raised his head to look at the Insect Queen, his eyes were red. The speed of his blood energy was pushed to the peak, and it continued to climb. Soon, it broke through the critical point.
The huge energy brought by the burning blood energy was about to make him explode. His muscles bulged rapidly, and his body began to expand. In just a moment, he had doubled in size and turned into a four-meter-tall giant. The fierce fighting spirit ignited the evil energy in his chest. He reached out the Blade of Dismemberment and made a cut on his palm. A black line of blood flew out, and the Blade of Dismemberment that was stained with the black blood burned with a black flame.
Yan Fei forgot to control the fighter for a moment. He stared at the giant on the fighter behind him. The giant's black eyes did not have any expression. It was as indifferent as a god looking down on all living things. The curved blade burning with black flame was bone-chilling, and it made him feel an indescribable sense of desolation. It was as if he was about to welcome the end of the world.
…
Luo Kai jumped up. This jump was more than ten meters high, and it was as fast as lightning. Even the airflow seemed to have avoided him. He threw out the metal ball in his hand again. The metal ball quickly became thin under his will, and it turned into a long black thread. It tightly wrapped around a giant insect. He pulled hard, and the giant insect was torn into pieces by the explosive force.
Using this force, Luo Kai shot toward the Insect Queen. He raised the Blade of Dismemberment and slashed down. This slash not only contained all the power of his body, but also his mind power. The powerful mind power infinitely increased the power of the blade light. A long and narrow blade light condensed in the air.
Accompanied by a thunderous roar, the light red cocoon in front of the Insect Queen was cut open by the saber light. The saber light that was burning with black flames cut into its abdomen, and the black flames that could corrode anything immediately spread up. The Insect Queen let out a burst of shrill screams, and could no longer float in the air, and fell down.
The remaining giant insect tried to lift the Insect Queen with its hind legs, but it was also ignited by the black flame on the Insect Queen's body. It was soon corroded into ashes.
This slash almost drained all of Luo Kai's power. Its swollen body quickly shrank, and its head turned black. It staggered and fell down.
Yan Fei was very responsible, and he did not forget the task that Luo Kai had given him. The fighter plane he was flying was destroyed by Luo Kai, so he had to abandon the plane. He took out his Cicada Blade and flew toward Luo Kai. His sword skills came from the sacred land of physical skills, Beijing University. It was very unique. With two Cicada Blades, he could fly for a short while.
When the Insect Queen fell to the ground, its entire body was burning with black flames. It was soon corroded.
The Insect Queen's strength came from its ability to distort the void and the reproduction of insects. Once it lost the protection of the swarm and the layer of cocoon, it was like a big meat worm. It could not fight back at all.
Two figures fell to the ground at the same time, creating a big hole in the ground. Yan Fei was willing to be the cushion and bear most of the impact. With his physical fitness, he would not be seriously injured. It was just some physical pain.
Luo Kai stood up tiredly and patted him on the shoulder. "Good job."
Yan Yun struggled to get up. He was flattered. "Brother Luo, you're the good one!"
Luo Kai smiled and looked up at the sky. A light red membrane was falling slowly. It was the Insect Queen's cocoon. He caught it curiously. It felt like he was holding a ball of air. It was weightless, and he did not feel any force. This thing should be a treasure. He collected it and put it in his pocket.
