After that, Su Chen and Ah Ke went their separate ways to gather more information about the Fire Worship Sect.
After spending an entire day, Su Chen gathered a large amount of information about the Fire Worship Sect. Apart from that, he also obtained some clues about the Scarlet Lotus.
The Red Lotus grew in the depths of the Fire Region Valley. It was the core area of the Fire Worship Sect. It was said that there was an ancient well that led to the earth's core. The Earth Core Fire gushed out from the ancient well continuously. Some Spiritual Treasures that came from the earth's core could be found in the erupting lava.
The Red Lotus was one of the Spiritual Treasures that came from the earth's core.
The Red Lotus was not a pure medicinal herb. It was more like a natural treasure. Its texture was similar to jade and it could withstand high temperature and pressure. It seemed to be formed from some material from the earth's core. It was a Fire Attribute Spiritual Treasure.
Most of the Fire Worship Sect's disciples cultivated Fire Attribute Cultivation Skills. This Fire Attribute Spiritual Treasure was very precious to the Fire Worship Sect.
The Fire Worship Sect had three great Saint Treasures and the Red Lotus was one of them.
The Red Lotus was not produced much. After all, it came from the earth's core. It could not be harvested and one could only depend on one's luck.
On average, there would only be one Scarlet Lotus that would appear every year along with the eruption of the Earth Fire.
However, the Fire Worship Sect had been established for tens of thousands of years. After a long period of accumulation, the Fire Worship Sect still had a considerable number of Red Lotuses.
This was mainly because it was difficult to refine the Red Lotus. An ordinary Immortal Cultivator's body could not withstand the overbearing energy of the Red Lotus. Moreover, the Red Lotus was a Fire Attribute Spiritual Treasure. Every Immortal Cultivator could only use it once. The effect would be greatly reduced the second time.
According to unreliable sources, there were at least 500 Red Lotuses in the Fire Worship Sect's storage.
Currently, the Fire Worship Sect did not need the Red Lotus. That was why they had so many Red Lotuses in storage.
It was not difficult for the Fire Worship Sect's disciples to purchase the Red Lotus.
There was a reward and punishment system in the Fire Worship Sect. According to the disciples' contributions to the sect, they would be given a certain amount of Contribution Points. As long as they had accumulated enough Contribution Points, they would be able to exchange them for cultivation materials in the Fire Worship Sect's treasure vault.
The Crimson Lotus could also be exchanged with contribution points. If converted to Spiritual Stones, the value of one Crimson Lotus would be around 50 billion.
It was not cheap, but it was not expensive for Su Chen either.
Spending 500 billion Skill Points to buy ten Crimson Lotus was definitely better than spending 80 billion Skill Points.
After all, it was too easy for Su Chen to earn spirit stones.
Moreover, Su Chen also learned that disciples of the Fire Worship Sect could obtain Contribution Points by contributing Spirit Stones to the Fire Worship Sect.
Theoretically, as long as Su Chen found ten obedient Fire Worship Sect's disciples and gave each of them 50 billion Spirit Stones, they would be able to exchange for ten Scarlet Lotus.
However, Feng Qingwan had also said that the Fire Worship Sect's disciples were good at deceiving people. If he were to give them the money directly, it would most likely be a one-way trip.
However, this did not seem to be a big problem for Su Chen.
With the help of the Soul Control Technique, it was easy for Duan Ling Tian to control the disciples from the Fire Worship Sect.
However, there was still a certain risk.
This was because the Fire Worship Sect would be suspicious if a large number of disciples were to exchange for Crimson Lotus at the same time. If this was exposed, although it would not be a threat to Su Chen, it would be more troublesome for him to obtain more Crimson Lotus.
Therefore, Su Chen was thinking of another plan.
Sneak into the Fire Worship Sect and steal the Crimson Lotus!
After breaking through to the Sky Pillar Realm, Su Chen's Spirit Concealment Technique could deceive all Sky Pillar Realm powerhouses.
As long as he could avoid the Great Heaven Realm powerhouses, Su Chen could enter the Fire Worship Sect as if there was no one there.
In addition to his Divine Talisman Master skills, Su Chen did not care about the Formation and Restriction in the Fire Worship Sect at all.
However, he did not have enough information at the moment. Su Chen needed to know more about the Fire Worship Sect's internal structure. It would be best if he could obtain detailed information about the high-ranking powerhouses.
At night.
Su Chen and Ah Ke met again in the ruins.
Both of them immediately exchanged the information they had gathered today. Su Chen also proposed his two plans.
Ah Ke pondered for a moment and said, "It's indeed more convenient and safer to use the Fire Worship Sect's disciples to exchange for the Crimson Lotus. However, the risk of being exposed is also very high. According to the information I obtained, the Crimson Lotus is a sect's supreme treasure. Every time we exchange for it, the Chief Internal Affairs Supervisor or the Elder of the Fire Worship Sect must agree. It might not be a problem to exchange for one lotus. However, if you need ten lotuses, the risk of being exposed is even higher.
"As for stealing, I didn't agree with it previously. As a member of the Dragon Clan, it's more appropriate to rob openly than to steal. However, considering the current situation, perhaps this is the most appropriate method."
Su Chen made a prompt decision and said, "If that's the case, let's steal it. However, we must be prepared beforehand. I'll have to trouble Teacher Ah Ke to continue to collect information about the Fire Worship Sect."
Ah Ke said, "Since I've come with you, I'll definitely try my best to help you. I have a suggestion. We can disguise ourselves and join the Fire Worship Sect. It'll be easier for us to gather information about the Fire Worship Sect."
"Join the Fire Worship Sect?"
Su Chen pondered for a moment and said, "This might be a good idea. How should we go about it?"
"First of all, we can't attract too much attention. Therefore, we can't use our real strength to join the Fire Worship Sect. I suggest that we disguise our strength to the Late Stage of the Longevity Tribulation. If we join the Fire Worship Sect with such strength, we won't become the lowest disciple and won't attract too much attention from the higher-ups. As for our identity, we can disguise ourselves as foreign rogue cultivators. It's best if we can rope in a few Fire Worship Sect's disciples to recommend us."
It had to be said that Ah Ke's train of thought was very methodical. She pointed out the key points casually.
"Alright, let's follow this train of thought. I'll find an opportunity to control a few Fire Worship Sect's disciples. However, it's not easy to disguise our strength perfectly. Teacher Ah Ke, do you have any good ideas?"
Ah Ke said, "I can teach you the Dragon's Extinguishing Skill. This is an exclusive ability of the Dragon Clan. You can adjust your dragon breath to conceal your energy fluctuation. All you need to do is to maintain a special breathing rhythm. It's easy to learn."
"Then I'll have to trouble you, Teacher Ah Ke."
It took Ah Ke half a night to teach Su Chen how to use the Dragon's Extinguishing Skill. Su Chen did not spend any Skill Points to level up. He practiced until dawn and was only one step away from mastering it perfectly.
After using the Dragon's Extinguishing Skill, Su Chen's aura was perfectly concealed. Others would only perceive him as a cultivator at the Late Stage of the Longevity Tribulation.
Both of them walked toward the city near the Fire Region Valley again.
Ah Ke suddenly took the initiative to hold Su Chen's arm and said, "Since we're going to disguise ourselves, we should disguise ourselves better. From today onwards, you and I are a pair of rogue cultivators. It'll be more convenient for us to join the Fire Worship Sect as a couple."
Oh, Teacher Ah Ke, you really know how to play.
