The next morning, Su Chen and Ke Ke prepared to take part in the new disciple assessment.
The assessment location was in the northwest of the Fire Region Valley, held in a huge flame plaza.
Around the plaza, there was a fissure that was thousands of meters deep. Blazing flames constantly emerged from the ground, shrouding the entire plaza in a sea of fire.
Not only Su Chen and Ke Ke were taking part in the assessment, but there were also dozens of new cultivators. Most of them were very young, and the youngest was only seven or eight years old. However, their strength was very ordinary, and there were not many at the Sea of Reincarnation Realm. Su Chen and Ke Ke had the highest cultivation among everyone present.
The one in charge of the assessment was a deacon of the Recruitment Hall. He wore a blue robe with fire patterns, and his cultivation had reached the Heaven Ascension Realm.
"The assessment will now begin, and it will be divided into two parts: assessment and test. The assessment is to assess each of your cultivation potential. Everyone, line up and inject your spiritual power into this flame tablet. The tablet inscriptions will automatically display your potential."
The first to be assessed was the seven or eight year old boy. His cultivation had just broken through to the Foundation Establishment Realm, but when he touched the flame tablet, there was a burst of intense light.
Seeing this, the assessment deacon was overjoyed. "Not bad, not bad. You have both fire and wood spiritual roots. Although the quality of your spiritual roots is slightly inferior, it is enough to make up for the lack of quality. In the future, if you cultivate diligently, there is hope for you to break through to the Saint Realm."
The boy was overjoyed and thanked him profusely.
Ke Ke whispered, "This stone tablet can test spiritual roots. Won't it expose our aptitude?"
Ke Ke did not know what kind of spiritual roots Su Chen had, but it was definitely not bad. She also had two top-grade spiritual roots. If it was tested, it would probably cause a commotion, and then it would be difficult to maintain a low profile.
Su Chen said calmly, "No worries. The formation in this flame tablet is very ordinary. When it is our turn to be tested, I can break the formation and change the results as I wish."
"I forgot that you are also a Divine Talisman Master."
Soon, it was Su Chen and Ke Ke Ke's turn to be tested. Under Su Chen's secret manipulation, the two's assessment reached a very standardized standard.
The so-called standardization meant that it was neither outstanding nor backward. In short, it could be described as ordinary.
This made the deacon of the Recruitment Hall, who was in charge of the evaluation, a little disappointed. He was quite optimistic about the aptitude of Su Chen and Ye Xiwen, but he didn't expect the result to be so unsatisfactory. It seemed that there was no room for improvement in the cultivation potential of these two people. The Longevity Tribulation cultivation was already the peak that one could reach in this lifetime. It was not suitable for them to enter the Inner Sect.
The next part of the practical test was slightly more complicated. All new disciples were required to enter the depths of the crevices around the square and search for a spirit fruit called the Fiery Cinnabar Fruit in the magma. The number of Fiery Cinnabar Fruits found would determine the final ranking of disciples.
The practical test was very dangerous for the new disciples whose strength did not reach the standard. During the test, if Su Chen hadn't secretly intervened, at least three people would have been burned to death in the magma or devoured by the flame beasts hidden in the magma. "There were no casualties in the test.
This is something that hasn't happened for many years. It seems that you new disciples are quite lucky. Continue to work hard and cultivate. Our Fire Worship Sect is ranked twelfth among the 72 prefectures. Among the sects and forces that cultivate fire-based cultivation methods in the entire Spirited Mountain and Jing Province, we can be ranked in the top three. With the protection of Celestial Venerable Flame, you don't have to worry about anything. As long as you cultivate in peace, there will be hope for you in the future. "
After a lot of words, the deacon began to announce the final results of the evaluation.
As expected, Su Chen and Ke Ke were assigned to the Outer Sect. They were arranged to cultivate under an Outer Sect deacon named Cao De.
With the documents in hand, the two of them went to look for Cao De.
Of course, it was impossible for them to cultivate. As soon as they met, Su Chen directly controlled Cao De's soul and made him obey Su Chen. At the same time, Su Chen also obtained a lot of information about the Fire Worship Sect from Cao De.
Among the information, there was information about the Treasure Vault that Su Chen was most concerned about.
Currently, there were three pieces of information about the Treasure Vault.
First, the Treasure Vault was located at the bottom of the core area of the Fire Region Valley. In the deep magma, there was a huge palace built in a vacuum bubble. It was surrounded by a strict Formation and the magma was so dense that even a Heaven's Equal Realm expert would have to pay a price if he wanted to barge in. It was the place with the strongest defense in the entire Fire Worship Sect.
Second, there was only one way to enter the Treasure Vault. That was through the Teleportation Formation in the Spiritual Treasure Hall of the Fire Worship Sect. This Teleportation Formation was managed by Elder Duan Rou of the Spiritual Treasure Hall. Duan Rou was the strongest female Elder in the Fire Worship Sect. Her cultivation had reached the peak of the Great Heaven Realm and was not inferior to some of the Supreme Elders.
Moreover, Duan Rou had another identity. She was the woman of Celestial Venerate Flame.
Celestial Venerate Flame had three wives and many concubines. Two of them were Supreme Elders and the other was Duan Rou. Her father was the Great Elder of the Sword Pavilion and she was born in the Fire Worship Sect. When she got married at the age of 13, she was chosen by Celestial Venerate Flame and was conferred the title of Lady Sect Leader.
Celestial Venerate Flame trusted Duan Rou deeply. Otherwise, he would not have entrusted the Treasure Vault to Duan Rou. It was very difficult to break into the Treasure Vault.
However, it was not completely impossible.
This was related to the third piece of information.
At the beginning of next month, it would be Duan Rou's 1,000th birthday.
Celestial Venerate Flame would come out of seclusion to celebrate Duan Rou's birthday.
On the day of the birthday, Duan Rou could not continue to stay in the Spiritual Treasure Hall. She would pass the key to the Teleportation Formation of the Treasure Vault to her pro-disciple, Zhou Ningyun.
If he could capture Zhou Ningyun in half a month, it would not be a problem to sneak into the Treasure Vault.
However, Zhou Ningyun was not an ordinary person. She was highly regarded by Duan Rou and treated her as her own daughter. Duan Rou had poured a lot of resources into Zhou Ningyun. In addition, Zhou Ningyun had outstanding talent and was born with the Fire Dense Body. This body allowed her to cultivate fire-based cultivation techniques with twice the result with half the effort.
Zhou Ningyun was only in her forties, but she was already an expert at the peak of the Sky Pillar Realm. Moreover, she was the Saintess of the Fire Worship Sect. Among all the disciples in the Fire Worship Sect, she had an extremely high status and was regarded as a goddess in the Fire Worship Sect.
If he wanted to break through Zhou Ningyun, it would not be easy.
However, it would be much more difficult than breaking through from Duan Rou.
After thinking about it briefly, Su Chen came up with a rough plan.
Firstly, he would focus on investigating Duan Rou and Zhou Ningyun. If there was a chance, it would be best if he could capture Zhou Ningyun in half a month.
Secondly, if it was really impossible, Su Chen could seize the opportunity to attack the Treasure Vault on the day of Duan Rou's birthday. Although it was very likely that he would enter the Treasure Vault, it would not be a problem for him to use the Time Stop skill to escape in time.
Of course, the risk of the latter was too high. After all, the enemy this time was a Heaven's Equal Realm expert. He could not take any chances.
The best way was to control Zhou Ningyun and even empty the Fire Worship Sect's Treasure Vault without anyone knowing.
