In the wee hours of the morning, the moon was bright and the stars were sparse. A figure was constantly flashing in and out of the Fiery Forest in the northwest of the Peacock Continent, heading towards the depths of the forest.
This person was naturally Su Chen.
He didn't go home to sleep in the middle of the night, but instead came to this remote forest. Naturally, it wasn't to relax.
"Have we arrived?"
Su Chen stood at the top of a pear tree and asked.
A small brown raccoon crawled out from Su Chen's pocket.
The small raccoon stretched its body and turned into a human form. It was Tong Lixian.
She was a raccoon demon.
Tong Lixian's petite figure hung on Su Chen's body. She glanced at the forest and said, "It's still a little ahead."
Su Chen didn't teleport anymore. He directly unfolded the Wind Lightning Fire Divine Wings and flew forward.
In a short while, Su Chen saw a large factory-like building in the depths of the mountain.
"It's here. This is my winery."
Tong Lixian said in surprise.
This Prince Su's strength was truly tyrannical. Normally, if she wanted to go back to the winery, it would take at least one or two days. However, Prince Su only used two hours. The difference was too obvious.
"I didn't expect there to be such a large winery in the depths of the forest."
Su Chen floated to the ground and immediately smelled a strong wine fragrance.
"Little ones, come out!"
Tong Lixian shouted at the winery. The sudden loud voice gave Su Chen a fright.
He looked at Tong Lixian in astonishment. It was hard to imagine how this small raccoon could have a voice comparable to that of an ancient giant beast.
After Tong Lixian finished her roar, Su Chen saw a group of cute little raccoons darting out from the winery and the surrounding forest. There were more than a thousand of them, and they ran towards Tong Lixian while whimpering.
"Patriarch, Patriarch, why are you here!"
"Patriarch, why didn't you inform us in advance that you were coming? We could have gone to welcome you!"
"Patriarch, Patriarch, who is this little brother? He's so handsome!"
What did it feel like to have a thousand little raccoons chirping around?
Su Chen had finally learned his lesson.
Tong Lixian waved her hand. "Quiet, quiet. Everyone shut up!"
With another roar, the entire place became silent. All the little raccoons adorably covered their ears.
Then, Tong Lixian turned around and said to Su Chen in an extremely ladylike tone, "Prince Su, please don't take offense. My people have lived in the mountains for a long time and haven't seen much of the world."
Su Chen waved his hand and looked at a mountain behind the winery with a slight frown.
Tong Lixian immediately dismissed her clansmen and said, "Has Prince Su already sensed it?"
"It's the aura of an ancient devil, and it's a living ancient devil."
Tong Lixian said, "Young Master, please follow me to take a look."
She immediately led Su Chen towards the mountain peak.
At the foot of the mountain, there was a pitch-black cave that was sealed off with simple iron fences and stones. There were even a few strong raccoons guarding outside the cave.
"Open the door." Tong Lixian ordered.
"Yes, Matriarch."
Tong Lixian took the lead and entered the cave.
On the walls of the cave, there were many red ores that emitted a dark red light. This was Brilliant Fire Ore, a specialty of the Brilliant Fire Forest. When ground into powder, it could be used to cultivate crops. It could greatly increase the growth of plants and was a highly effective mineral fertilizer.
After walking for a few hundred meters, Su Chen was led by Tong Lixian to an underground cave that was filled with water vapor. There was a rapid underground river that had many fierce freshwater sharks.
After walking along the underground river for a while, Su Chen found a sealed secret room made of metal.
In the secret room, the aura of an ancient devil was emitted.
Tong Lixian opened the secret room and pointed at a huge purple crystal. "This is what I need your help with."
Su Chen took a closer look. There was indeed an ancient devil sealed in the purple crystal.
However, what surprised Su Chen was that the ancient devil's appearance was completely different from what Su Chen had seen before.
It was a small black raccoon with black fur all over its body!
What the hell?
Su Chen was confused. Shouldn't an ancient devil be the embodiment of evil? Why was it a cute little raccoon?
"This is?" Su Chen asked.
"He is my father."
Tong Lixian reached out and touched the cold purple crystal as she spoke with tears in her eyes.
"Your father is an ancient devil?"
Tong Lixian shook her head vigorously. "Father is the same as the other clansmen. He's an ordinary Yao. He's only at the Heaven Realm. The Raccoon Clan's bloodline isn't suitable for cultivation. I'm an exception."
This piqued Su Chen's curiosity.
If Tong Lixian's father was an ordinary devil, how could he become an ancient devil and be sealed in the purple crystal?
He immediately said, "Tell me the details of the situation."
Tong Lixian said, "It all started when I was thirteen. That day, I was cultivating at home. My father and the clansmen went deep into the mountains to collect spirit fruits for brewing wine. However, they encountered an accident and all the clansmen died. Only my father returned with serious injuries.
After returning, my father's temperament changed greatly. He wanted to kill everyone in the clan, but the clansmen worked together to subdue him. Only then did they realize that my father had turned into a devil.
In order to suppress the devil aura in my father's body, we found a purple crystal passed down by our ancestors and sealed my father until today. "
"Thirteen years old?"
Kong Miaoyin had said before that Tong Lixian was a rare top genius in the Peacock Continent. However, she encountered an accident when she was thirteen years old. After that, she did not cause any waves. Could this be the reason?
Tong Lixian said, "Back then, I sealed my father with my own hands. When I was sealing him, I was infected with some devil aura. Although I was not injured, my body has been like this ever since. I can no longer absorb Heaven Earth Yuan Qi to cultivate."
Stop growing and retain her beauty forever?
Why did this devil poison seem to be very popular with women who liked to look beautiful?
Su Chen beckoned to Tong Lixian, "Come here and let me take a look."
Tong Lixian walked over with small steps. Su Chen grabbed her wrist and penetrated her body with his Divine Sense.
Before entering Tong Lixian's sea of consciousness, Su Chen had already noticed that her meridians were covered with a layer of gray haze. This haze was like devil aura, but it seemed to be even more peculiar than devil aura. This should be the reason why Tong Lixian could not cultivate. It would prevent the outside world's Yuan Qi from entering Tong Lixian's body.
Without being able to absorb Heaven Earth Yuan Qi, no matter how good one's aptitude was, there was no way to cultivate.
"Hiss!"
Su Chen suddenly withdrew his arm and gasped.
The strange devil aura in Tong Lixian's body actually followed his Divine Sense and wanted to enter Su Chen's body.
Fortunately, Su Chen's reaction was fast enough. Otherwise, it would be troublesome.
"Do you know where your father turned into a devil?" Su Chen asked.
Tong Lixian shook her head, "I have searched all the places my father and the others might have gone, but I did not find anything strange. Unless I wake my father up, no one can know what happened that day."
