The one who made the move was Su Chen.
If it was just a modified sea demon without a soul, Su Chen wouldn't have any meaning in capturing it. He wouldn't be able to read its memories and obtain any information. However, this Clam Spirit was different. If Su Chen captured her, he would be able to read her memories easily.
"Boom!"
The flames engulfed the clam shell, and the surrounding seawater started to boil. Su Chen wanted to force her out.
However, this clam shell was surprisingly resistant. After being burned by Su Chen's Pure Yang flames for a while, the temperature didn't rise at all.
Since the flames weren't effective, Su Chen didn't want to waste any more time. He took out the Taiji Immortal Sword.
He could use this clam shell to test the power of the Taiji Immortal Sword.
Su Chen held the Taiji Immortal Sword tightly. His Pure Yang and Pure Yin energy were channeled into the sword blade.
In an instant, the Taiji Immortal Sword let out a strange black glow.
Su Chen swung the sword and made a hole in the sturdy clam shell.
The Clam Spirit was scared out of her wits. Her clam shell was indestructible and had never disappointed her. She didn't expect it to be broken by a sword today. The Clam Spirit immediately understood that she couldn't escape this calamity.
Su Chen waved his hand and used the Divine Mark to entangle the Clam Spirit. He then pulled her out of the clam shell.
"Don't … Don't kill me. I don't want to die."
Su Chen wanted to kill her directly. However, when he saw the strong desire to live in the Clam Spirit's eyes, he suddenly had an idea. He immediately used the Beast Taming Skill. "If you want to live, submit obediently."
Although the Beast Taming Skill's level was low, as long as the other party was sincere in submitting, it would still work.
The Clam Spirit seemed to have realized something. However, in order to survive, she didn't dare to resist. She opened her heart obediently.
'Ding … congratulations to the host for subduing the Clam Spirit.'
Meaty?
This name made Su Chen suddenly have the urge to grill a scallop to try.
Su Chen entered the pet interface to check Meaty's status.
Her cultivation was at the early stage of the No Doubts Tribulation. She was the subordinate of Lan Kui, the aristocrat of the West Sea, and the little princess of the Clam Clan. She was also an aristocrat of the West Sea. However, the Clam Clan was considered a relatively low-level clan among the Sea Clans.
Meaty had been forcefully subdued, so her Loyalty was not high. She only had a Loyalty of 20 points, and there was a possibility that she could betray him at any time. Thus, Su Chen did not release her, and directly tied her up with divine patterns and brought her away.
"My shell …"
Meaty stared at her broken clam shell and said.
With a wave of his hand, Su Chen took the clam shell with him.
Back on the floating boat, Su Chen brought the clam spirit's meat back to his room. While she was still in shock, Su Chen pressed a hand between her eyebrows.
Soul Control!
To use Soul Control, one didn't necessarily need to kill the other party. One could directly read the other party's memories from their soul.
With a Loyalty of 20 points, Su Chen was not sure if he could get any useful information from Meaty. It was more convenient to read her memories directly.
Soon, Su Chen read Meaty's memories. Although the information he read was not much, it still gave Su Chen a general understanding of the situation.
It was close to what Su Chen had guessed. The Sea Clan had indeed been capturing cultivators on a large scale recently. The purpose of capturing these cultivators was to study the Sea Clan's Life Transformation Technique.
This was not a recent behavior. In fact, the Sea Clan had been engaged in this kind of research for thousands of years. It was just that the Sea Clan used to do it secretly, but now they began to do it more blatantly.
However, there was no specific information about the Life Transformation Technique in Meaty's memory. Her position in the Sea Clan was not enough to know these things, but her boss, Lan Kui, should know something.
Lan Kui's strength was probably at the late stage of the No Doubts Tribulation. Su Chen had two divine weapons, the Tai Chi Immortal Sword and Neptune's Trident. It should not be too difficult to take her down.
Su Chen thought for a moment and said to Meaty, "Although you are now under my command, it is not enough to gain my trust. If you want to live, help me lure Lan Kui out. If you can do it, I can spare your life."
Meaty did not know that Su Chen had read her memories. She was very surprised to hear the name Lan Kui from Su Chen.
Where did this man come from? Why did he know about the Sea Clan?
After hesitating for a moment, Meaty took out a crystal conch and said, "I can use this conch to contact Lord Lan Kui. However, Lord Lan Kui is busy with official business and may not come."
"How can I get her to come?"
Meaty thought for a moment and said, "If we capture a cultivator in the Sea of Reincarnation Realm, Lord Lan Kui may be interested."
"Okay, then you tell me. As long as you can lure Lan Kui here, I will spare your life."
"I understand."
Meaty nodded and shakily picked up the conch. She said to the conch, "Lord Lan Kui, I am Meaty. I have captured a human cultivator in the Sea of Reincarnation Realm. He is rather powerful and I am unable to bring him back to the Proud Sea City alone. I hope that Lord Lan Kui can come over personally."
After speaking, Meaty lifted her head and looked at Su Chen, "Is this okay?"
"Okay."
Meaty nodded and pressed on the conch. She immediately sent the message out.
"When will Lan Kui arrive?"
"With Lord Lan Kui's speed, she will need around two hours to reach here from the Proud Sea City."
Then there was not much time left.
Su Chen grabbed Meaty and brought her back to the sea. They arrived at the corals.
The corals here were already contaminated and would be poisoned if touched. If they were left here, they would definitely be a threat to other cultivators. Su Chen might as well burn them all.
Then Su Chen sat cross-legged and restrained his aura. He pretended to be weak.
Meaty sat beside Su Chen uneasily and could not help but look at Su Chen's side profile.
This human was quite handsome, but his behavior was too overbearing. However, his strength was really powerful. He was only in the Early-stage of the No Doubts Tribulation, but he could easily cut off her clamshell.
Although the Clam Clan's fighting strength was low, they relied on their natural clamshell to have a super strong defensive ability. Even if she encountered an expert who was one realm higher than her, as long as she hid in the clamshell, she would not be hurt at all.
Before meeting Su Chen, Meaty had encountered many dangers. However, she had relied on her clamshell to overcome them easily.
"He is so handsome. The more I look at him, the more handsome he is. My maiden heart is overflowing. If I can survive this time, it doesn't seem to be a bad thing to be his pet. Anyway, I don't have any status in the Proud Sea City."
Meaty held her chin and stared at Su Chen. The more she looked, the more she could not stop. How could there be such a handsome person?
Ding! "Clam Spirit Meaty's loyalty to the host + 20."
Su Chen was confused. What happened?
