Juliana's Workshop - Chapter279

The night sky was burning.

In this season of winter, there was already a cold wind blowing near the sea, but the heat from the flames made the skin hot.

The cold wind couldn't cool people down, because there was a huge bonfire burning, the light from the bonfire could even light up the entire sky, the flames kept moving around, sparks flew everywhere.

This bonfire was a city.

The entire King's Castle became a ball of flames.

The city walls that allowed the King's Castle to stand tall for a thousand years were destroyed, every section had a shocking gap that could allow a large number of troops to invade.

These gaps were not created overnight, every gap consumed countless manpower and resources from both sides, blood and flesh were poured here, in order to seize these places, they grabbed each other's necks.

Every gap was filled with corpses, broken weapons and body parts were scattered all over the ground. The temporary fortifications were also pushed down, falling towards the inside of the city. Compared to the shield of the King's Castle, the external sharp blades were much sharper, and there were thousands of them, all for the sake of piercing through this rusty iron shield.

The city wall was also a hellish scene. Fallen rocks and burned marks were everywhere. People who had been pierced by arrows and swords fell to the ground and could no longer get up. Those who were still alive could only struggle at death's door or cheer helplessly.

It had already been half a day since the King's Castle's fortifications were broken, after the siege ended, there was an even more intense battle in the city.

The city walls were broken, but there was still the entire King's Castle, waiting for the outsiders to take over, and the people who belonged here, would they surrender so easily?

A portion of them had already surrendered, but those who were still persevering, fought with the invaders until late into the night, and the flames engulfed the city.

No matter which side, they were all using their own methods to kill each other, and the most effective method was to destroy everything.

Destroying the buildings, could also cause damage and attack to the other side.

But all of these were just delaying the ending slightly, just like this siege war, no matter what the process was, the result would be the same, it was only a matter of time.

Until late at night, a large part of the thousand-year-old ancient city had already been destroyed, the place where people lived became a crematorium, bricks and wood became fuel, all kinds of corpses were burning inside, making crackling sounds.

The resistance within the city grew weaker and weaker. The areas that had been well protected were the first to fall into the hands of the outsiders.

The starry sky at night was still bright, but the light of the flames had taken away their brilliance. The screams, howls, and roars of the world on the ground had nothing to do with them in the sky. They just watched everything quietly, without any sound, and their voices couldn't really resound through the sky — because this world was too big, and the world named King's Castle was still too small after all.

However, everything in the city had nothing to do with Lulunaka.

This time, it couldn't be called a war, but it would be recorded as a war in history. It had ended from the beginning. She didn't leave at the beginning because she wanted to see if the process and ending would be different from before.

Judging from the ending, there were no changes. The city that had disappointed her, the city that could no longer be considered a country, had really disappeared.

She didn't feel sad at all. This place didn't give her any good memories, it was only a short moment of sweetness followed by endless bitterness. Happiness was only for a moment, but disappointment, anger, and these negative emotions could endlessly entangle her, tormenting her for more than a hundred years.

But everything had ended. The last scene of the King's Castle had already ended, only a few scattered audience members had yet to leave.

She still stayed so close to watch, just to take away some audience members who were still unwilling to let the curtain fall — or it could also be called half of the participants on the stage.

Not far from the town on the opposite shore of the King's Castle, Lulunaka squatted on the beach, looking at the flames on the opposite shore.

Around her, there were limbs scattered all over the ground. It was different from the human bodies that were destroyed by swords and blunt weapons. The torsos and limbs around her were spread all over the ground as a whole. It looked very orderly, but it was also even more strange and terrifying.

Although Lulunaka wouldn't participate in this, if the people who were too immersed in the show treated her as a member of the stage, she wouldn't gently say "You can return to the stage" to these people. She would let the unimportant characters directly leave the stage, because it would save a lot of trouble.

Lulunaka shook the fluorescent bottle in her hand. The small and slender bottle could be held with one hand. The two ends were round and smooth, and there was a transparent and glowing liquid inside. The liquid was soaked with spinning blades, which looked very much like the blades of a windmill. It was just that they were spinning very quickly and silently.

She shook the bottle, and the blades inside were also shaking. They kept colliding with the two ends, trying to drill out of the bottle.

"Goodbye, goodbye, King's Castle. Just stay in history and don't appear again." Lulunaka said softly to the city in the flames. There was no smile on her face, it was as calm as water.

There was nothing more to say. She stood up and walked towards the other two people.

On this beach that was filled with dismembered limbs, there were still two people who were still alive, doing their last fight.

Julius and Romuona, the blades in their hands were already curled. They had no killing power at all. Perhaps even wood was more useful than them.

But to the two parties involved, all of this was no longer important.

The battle had already ended. What was happening now was just the loser's final struggle.

"If you had killed him at the very beginning, King's Castle wouldn't have become like this!"

Romuona's soft armor was already half broken. The remaining parts were also burnt black. Her body was covered in blood stains. When the war started, she had already shaved her hair and turned it into short bangs. She looked very much like a baby's head. But now, her usual beautiful appearance couldn't be seen.

She waved her sword and kept attacking Julius.

Julius's appearance was also terrible. Only a small piece of chain armor was left around his waist. His body was covered with wounds that couldn't keep up with the healing speed.

He risked his life to fight in the city to save more people. As long as one more person could escape from King's Castle alive, one more wound didn't matter.

Before he reached his limit, Lulunaka dragged him out. She didn't let him turn into a meat paste that couldn't be recovered.

"Was it really right to kill that man at that time!"

Julius was blocking Romuona's attacks. It was very weak. His body was covered with bruises left by Romuona's sword.

"Do you really think so!"

"If there is no such person, if there is no such person!" Romuona waved her sword like a madman. Julius was powerless to resist.

Lulunaka didn't participate. She let the two of them vent their emotions.

No matter what they think now, it's all over. What's the point of making assumptions about the past?

But for living beings like them, if they weren't allowed to vent their emotions, they would probably collapse even faster.

Lulunaka expressed her understanding.
