At this point, the Blade Of The Undead paused, as if recalling the great war. "In order to fight for this resource, many experts poured into our small world. In order to protect the Firmament World, we had a 'War of Destruction' with the Outlanders. After that battle, everything ended!
In order to protect ourselves, the Firmament World sealed off all the passages leading to the outside world. From then on, we no longer have any contact with the outside world! "
"Then what is this resource?"
After listening to the Blade Of The Undead's explanation, Lin Xiao asked curiously.
This was the second time Lin Xiao had heard of this resource.
Last time, Gong Yangchi did not explain in detail. Lin Xiao naturally had to ask the Blade Of The Undead. After all, if so many experts from the Outlanders were fighting over it, it was definitely not an ordinary resource. It was impossible for Lin Xiao not to be curious.
"You really have a lot of questions!"
The Blade Of The Undead looked at Lin Xiao with disdain and said impatiently, "These things are useless to you. Why do you know so much?"
"None of your business!
I'm asking you, so you answer! "
Lin Xiao raised his chin and threatened shamelessly, "If you don't answer, I'll throw you out of the Spring of Life."
"You!"
The Blade Of The Undead could not do anything about Lin Xiao's shamelessness. If it were any other place, he would have thrown him out. But this was the Equipment Refining Sect. If he were to go out, he would suffer a fate worse than death. Therefore, he had no choice but to obey Lin Xiao.
"I really don't know why you have so many questions!"
Letting out a cold snort, the Invincible Fiendblade said somewhat unwillingly, "I can tell you right now. Don't even think about getting your hands on that sort of resource. Long ago, after the Apocalypse, adamantine disappeared without a trace."
"Adamantine?"
It had to be said that this answer surprised Lin Xiao, and even somewhat disappointed.
In Lin Xiao's opinion, if it could cause experts from the Outlanders to fight over it, it must be an extraordinary treasure. But he did not expect that it was just a type of stone. He could not help but feel disappointed.
"You don't like adamantine?"
Seeing Lin Xiao's disdainful look, the Blade Of The Undead was somewhat displeased. He couldn't help but spit out, "Do you know how precious adamantine is? It has miraculous effects, whether used for forging weapons or training!"
"How strange is it?"
Lin Xiao glared at Blade Of The Undead and asked.
"The Equipment Refining Sect has been forging Divine Artifacts that are comparable to ours, but they have never succeeded. Do you know why?"
Letting out a cold snort, the Blade Of The Undead grew even more unhappy. "The reason is simple. It is because they lack adamantine. Without adamantine, there's no way they can forge divine artifacts. At most, they can forge quasi-divine artifacts!"
"Are you saying … that the material used to create your divine artifacts was adamantine?"
Hearing the Blade Of The Undead's words, Lin Xiao said with some surprise, "It seems that adamantine is quite powerful. Then what about its ability to aid in training? What's that about?"
The first function of adamantine was already so powerful. Lin Xiao was naturally filled with anticipation for the second function.
"I'll put it simply. With adamantine, even if the people of the Firmament World don't leave the Firmament World, they can still become true Saints. There's no need to go to the Outlanders to break through!"
The Blade Of The Undead glanced at Lin Xiao, a look of disdain on his face. "Are you still disdainful of adamantine? Do you still think it's a useless stone?"
"I don't …"
Hearing this, Lin Xiao was rather speechless. He hadn't expected that adamantine would be so useful. It could even help a Half-Saint break through to the Saint stage. Lin Xiao couldn't help but ask, "Are there really no more adamantine?
Can't we find any more? "
"Nonsense!
If there were any more, the three hidden sects would have found them long ago. You wouldn't even be here to ask! "
The Blade Of The Undead rolled his eyes at Lin Xiao, then continued, "I can tell you that the original source of adamantine was the Wuji Island, located three thousand miles away from the Eastern Sea. But now, there's nothing left of it!
In that destructive battle, the entire Wuji Island was destroyed. Now, it's just an ocean. These years, the three hidden sects have sent many people there, but they haven't received any news at all. It's as though the Wuji Island has disappeared. "
"What a pity!"
Lin Xiao said with some regret.
"Yes. In the past, our Firmament World was also glorious. But now, we've become like this. We don't even have a Saint. It's really …" The Blade Of The Undead also sighed.
"Right. Since your divine artifacts are made from adamantine, and adamantine is capable of helping a cultivator become a Saint, then why is it that your corresponding level of power is only that of a Half-Saint, and not a Saint?" Lin Xiao seemed to have thought of something, and he asked curiously.
"You don't know this. At my peak, I was indeed in the Saint Realm. In fact, it wasn't just me. The thirteen Divine Weapons were all in the Saint Realm. But in that destructive battle, in order to resist the invasion of the outer region, we paid a great price. We were severely injured, and our realms fell to Half-saints. Some of my brothers, even …"
With a sigh, the Blade Of The Undead said in a choked voice, "No matter what, it's good enough that I'm still alive!"
This …
Lin Xiao didn't expect that the destructive battle back then would be so tragic. No wonder it was called the Destructive Battle. Lin Xiao looked at the Blade Of The Undead sympathetically and fell into deep thought.
According to the Formation King, there were outlanders in the Equipment Refining Sect. But the adamantine had disappeared. What were these outlanders doing in the Firmament World?
Now, the Equipment Refining Sect was at war with the Asura Sect and the Murong Family. What was their ultimate goal?
Although he couldn't figure it out, the war between the three sects was a good thing for Lin Xiao. Lin Xiao's goal was to unify the Firmament World. In this case, the best way was to let the three sects fight first. Then, Lin Xiao would have a chance.
After all, it was too slow to unify the Firmament World step by step through the Divine Generals. Besides, Lin Xiao didn't have enough Half-saints under his command.
Just as Lin Xiao was thinking about this, a voice suddenly came, "Master Lin, long time no see. Master invites you in."
The speaker was none other than Elder Fang, whom Lin Xiao and Gong Yangchi had met on the day they entered the Equipment Refining Sect.
"Elder Fang, long time no see!
Sect Master Zhou has finally thought of me, I'm about to grow moldy here. "Lin Xiao smiled as he went up to greet him, shaking his head continuously with a helpless look on his face.
After staying in the Equipment Refining Sect for so long, Zhou Yuan finally wanted to see him. It seemed that there was something for him to do.
In fact, Lin Xiao was looking forward to seeing Zhou Yuan.
