Scarlet Flame Empire, western region.
It was said that time could change everything. After a year of baptism, the western region had undergone great changes. A year ago, the Qing Luan Sect was annihilated in a single night, shaking the western region. Since then, the western region had been in a period of absurdity.
But now, under the management of the Qin Sect, the western region had begun to warm up. Vaguely, it was even more prosperous than when the Qing Luan Sect was in power.
The people of the western region, as well as the various small and medium-sized powers, had also accepted the Qin Sect. The main reason was that the Qin Sect was already in control of the Scarlet Flame Empire. Compared to the Qing Luan Sect, the Qin Sect was more supportive of these small and medium-sized powers. For these small and medium-sized powers, they didn't care who was in power. They only cared about who could bring them benefits.
However, at this time, the western region's border was somewhat chaotic.
Outside the western region's national wall, there was a lush green forest. Many towering ancient trees that had grown for thousands of years towered into the clouds, their roots deeply rooted.
A full moon hung high in the night sky. The bright and clear moonlight shone down on the uneven and secluded forest. Swoosh!
Xiu!
Xiu!
A few shadows passed through, breaking the heart-tugging scene.
"Break through this place and the western region will belong to our Cloud Sea Empire!" A group of nearly 100,000 soldiers rushed out of the forest, explosively shooting towards the national wall.
The Scarlet Flame general and several elders of the Qin Sect joined forces on top of the national wall. Everyone had a solemn expression as they raised their hands to resist.
"The Emperor is already rushing over. Let's put in more effort. As long as the Emperor arrives, we will win!" The three generals roared.
"Brothers, kill them! How dare they invade the Scarlet Flame Empire? Let's kill these bastards!"
"Kill!
Protect the Scarlet Flame Empire with our lives! "
The Scarlet Flame army faced the enemy. In the time it took for a spark to fly off a flint, the night sky was illuminated by the spiritual light.
Very soon, the smell of blood enveloped the surrounding ten thousand meters. The Scarlet Flame army quickly fell into a disadvantageous position.
"Hong Teng, in these thousand years, our Cloud Sea Empire and our Cloud Sea Empire have never invaded each other's territory. Could it be that you want to break this agreement made by our ancestors?" The general of the Scarlet Flame army roared.
"Tsk tsk, that agreement has long since passed. Furthermore, in this world where the weak are the strong, it is natural selection and survival of the fittest. Any agreement can be changed if one has the strength."
A middle-aged soldier stood in the air with his hands behind his back. He alone blocked the tens of thousands of Scarlet Flame Army. The pressure of the Five Heavens stage was like a crouching dragon. Although his tone was very calm, it still made countless people tremble slightly.
"You …!"
The Chi Yan Great General had already suffered from internal injuries after several battles. When he heard Hong Teng's words, he was so angry that he spat out blood. His eyes were red as he said, "Hmph, so you're saying that your Yunhai Great General already has the ability to change this agreement?"
"Of course." Hong Teng shrugged indifferently.
"Shameless boasting!"
The Scarlet Flame General was enraged by Hong Teng. He spat out a mouthful of blood essence, and his palms were instantly set ablaze. "Palace!"
A layer of Raging Flame Armor appeared and spiraled around his body. Then, he raised his eyes and glared at Hong Teng. "If you want to violate Chi Yan, you'll have to step over my body first!"
Bang!
Facing Rayleigh's palm, Hong Teng was not flustered at all. He just raised his hand slightly and a three-meter-long silver spear appeared. He waved it in the air and cut the flaming palm into two. Then, he raised the long spear on his back and sneered, "Haha, White Horse Yanling, after a few years, you've only reached the Three Heavens stage. What a waste."
After saying that, Hong Teng's eyes suddenly became ruthless. He arched his body and was about to stab with his long spear. "Since you're so eager to die, I'll fulfill your wish!"
Swoosh!
Suddenly, Hong Teng was like a wild horse that had let go of its reins. He stepped on the ground and several layers of light appeared in the air. The long spear pierced through the air and stabbed towards White Horse Yanling's chest.
"General!"
"General!" The coldness enveloped tens of thousands of meters. Countless Scarlet Flame Army soldiers were frightened.
Boom!
White Horse Yanling's attack was dispersed by the deterrent force before it could gather. The difference between the two was too great. His pupils shrank and the silver spear had already appeared in his space.
"Go to hell!"
Hong Teng sneered. But at this moment, he suddenly frowned and looked to the east. Then, a towering fire dragon ambushed him and went straight for his forehead.
His eyes darkened. If he wanted to kill White Horse Yanling, he would definitely be attacked by this fire dragon. He had no choice but to stop and take half a step back.
Boom!
As soon as he moved, the fire dragon pierced through the gap between him and White Horse Yanling. The force was enough to break the sky and burn thousands of meters of the forest outside Scarlet Flame Country.
Those towering ancient trees that were thousands of years old were smashed with a bang.
"Is it the Emperor?"
"The Emperor is here. We're saved!"
Countless people in Scarlet Flame Country were overjoyed. White Horse Yanling also turned around and looked at the figures walking in the air. His eyes were slightly red. "Finally caught up?"
Lin Yu led the Scarlet Flame Army and walked in the air. His expression was very solemn.
Seeing Lin Yu, Hong Teng's expression turned serious. Then, he lowered his head and looked at the forest that had already been burnt into charcoal. He lightly laughed and said, "Hehe, what terrifying power. As expected of the Crimson Flame Emperor."
But immediately, his nervous expression disappeared like a fleeting cloud. Instead, there was a hint of pride in his eyes. "However, since the Emperor is here, it seems that everything is going according to plan. Did we succeed?"
"Hong Teng, since you disregarded the oath of the ancestors, don't blame me for killing you!" Lin Yu leaped forward and saw the miserable state of Scarlet Flame Country. He suddenly felt a chill and scolded Hong Teng.
Unexpectedly, when Lin Yu arrived at the wall, Hong Teng had already flashed to the forest thousands of meters away. He stepped on the needles of a thousand-meter-tall coniferous tree and smiled. "You want to kill me? I'm afraid you won't have the chance this time. It's a pity that I didn't kill White Horse Yanling. Otherwise, you, Scarlet Flame Country, will suffer for a while!"
"Stop talking nonsense. Die!" Lin Yu snorted coldly. He turned around and shot towards Hong Teng.
At the same time, silver light flashed under Hong Teng's feet.
The silver spear in his hand drew a circle of light. Immediately, a force shot out from the circle of light. The force was very gentle, and it directly reflected him away from Lin Yu. Hong Teng laughed wildly. "Hehe, you've played for so long. I won't play with you anymore. But don't worry, little guy from Scarlet Flame Country. We'll meet again soon. Haha, hahaha, when that time comes, it will be your real nightmare!"
Swoosh!
With that, Hong Teng flashed away like a ghost and disappeared from the sight of the tens of thousands of people.
Seeing this scene, Lin Yu was furious. He turned around and wanted to chase after Hong Teng. "Old dog, where do you think you're going?"
But immediately, Lin Concubine stopped him from behind. "Yu 'er, don't chase after him. It's more important to treat the injured first!"
Lin Concubine spoke. Only then did Lin Yu calm down. Seeing Hong Teng running away, he angrily stomped his feet. "This old dog runs fast!"
Then, he returned to Lin Concubine's side. Seeing the injured and injured disciples of Scarlet Flame Country, he was furious. He quickly shouted at the army of Scarlet Flame Country, "Where are the military doctors?
Hurry and treat their injuries! "
The military doctors started to treat the injuries of Scarlet Flame Country's disciples.
And during this process, Lin Yu did not know why, but he kept feeling vexed and oppressed. Pata, suddenly, a jade-like hand patted his shoulder. He turned around and saw that it was the Lin Concubine. "Mother?"
"Yu 'er, don't you feel that something is wrong?" Lin Concubine asked solemnly.
Lin Yu was stunned for a moment and said, "You felt it too?"
"Yes. Hong Teng is in the Five Heavens Realm. His cultivation level is among the top three in the Cloud Sea Empire. He is not any weaker than you or me. However, when he saw you just now, he didn't seem to have any intention of fighting. Instead, he was purposely avoiding you. Something is wrong."
Then, Lin Concubine stretched out her jade-like hand and pointed at the forest in the distance. "Also, look, he left the Cloud Sea Empire's army here. This is not normal."
Lin Yu nodded his head. "Indeed, with Hong Teng's cultivation, even if he isn't a match for you and me, if he wants to delay for a while and buy time for the Cloud Sea Army to escape, it is still an easy task. However, he doesn't seem to have any intentions of saving this group of people."
"This is strange!" Lin Concubine nodded.
While the two of them were still puzzled, White Horse Yanling had already finished bandaging his wounds. He walked in front of them and bowed respectfully. "Your Majesty, Lin Concubine!"
When Lin Yu saw White Horse Yanling, he asked, "General White Horse, when you were fighting with Hong Teng, did he show any signs of abnormality?"
"Abnormality?"
White Horse Yanling thought for a while and suddenly said, "Yes, he did. Just now, when Your Majesty appeared, Hong Teng seemed to have said something. Everything is going according to plan."
"According to plan?"
Lin Yu frowned, and right after that, his clear eyes turned cold as if he'd suddenly grasped onto something. However, he kept having the feeling that he was still lacking something, causing him to be vexed. "What exactly is their plan?"
White Horse Yanling couldn't help but point at the remaining Cloud Sea Empire's army and ask, "Oh right, Your Majesty, what should we do with these cannon fodder?"
When Lin Yu heard this, his eyes lit up. He raised his head and asked, "What did you just say?
Cannon fodder? "
"Yes, yes, cannon fodder." White Horse Yanling repeated in confusion.
Lin Yu was shocked. "I know. The Cloud Sea Empire's target is not the western region. Their goal is to lure me here!"
"Lure you here?"
"Yes, they summoned their army. Actually, this is all an illusion. They just want to lure me out!"
Lin Yu nodded affirmatively. Then, he said, "If I'm not wrong, there is not a single Heaven Realm cultivator in this army. All of them are ordinary disciples!"
"Eh?"
Imperial Concubine Lin and the others were stunned. Then, she turned around and looked at the Cloud Sea Empire's army. She said in surprise, "It's true. The strongest among them is only at the Cryptic Spirit Realm!"
"I knew it!" This time, Lin Yu's thoughts were confirmed.
But then, he couldn't figure it out. "But why did the Cloud Sea Empire do this?"
"Buzz!"
At this time, the Military Token in Lin Yu's hand flashed. Gongsun Yan's voice came from it. "Your Majesty, Gou Su has escaped. The 70,000 soldiers of the Wangshan Empire have been captured in the eastern region. How should we deal with them?"
