Just as Ye Qing was inscribing the rune, the crowd was in an uproar. Basically, all the Rune Masters present recognized the four-star rune that he was inscribing.
The Apocalypse Rune was one of the more powerful four-star runes. It was widely circulated in the Rune World, and many Rune Masters had cultivated it before.
Therefore, when they saw Ye Qing's method of inscribing the rune, they recognized that it was the four-star Apocalypse Rune!
"No way, I thought he was a powerful five-star Rune Master. I didn't expect him to only be a four-star Rune Master!"
"The power of the Apocalypse Rune is definitely not comparable to a five-star Rune. Could it be that Lao Siji's Rune Skills are extraordinary, but his Rune Skills are not strong?"
"What a joke. The three Rune Masters who just admitted defeat must be regretting it now!"
In the spectator stands, there was a clamor of discussion. Ye Qing inscribing a four star Heaven Destroying Earth Exterminating Rune was really shocking. No one had expected it. After all, it was not in line with the monstrous talent he had just displayed.
"Young Master Lao, be careful!"
Ye Qing's opponent's eyes shone brightly. In an instant, he had inscribed a five-star Rune, and a terrifying Origin Energy storm swept out!
"Five-star Rune, Gale Blast!"
Along with a furious roar, a five-star rune bombarded out, forming a gust of violent wind that contained a powerful Origin Energy.
Strictly speaking, there were no more than two types of runes. One was to injure the Divine Soul, and the other was to injure the physical body.
When inscribing runes that hurt the Divine Soul, one would need to consume the power of the Divine Soul.
Runes that hurt the physical body would need to consume Origin Energy.
The five-star Gale Rune was inscribed by consuming Origin Energy. It contained the power of the gale and could destroy everything. Its effect was comparable to a powerful Honorable Martial Skill!
Runes had many wonderful uses. For example, the Gale Rune could be smelted into a Magic Treasure to enhance its power and improve its quality.
The Gale Rune blasted out, causing great destruction. However, Ye Qing's Apocalypse Rune was still in his palm and had not been executed.
"This Lao Siji, could it really be a 4 star rune master?"
"A mere 4-star runemaster is nothing more than this. With just a 4-star rune, it's impossible for him to win!"
The crowd was discussing animatedly. In the square, the Ninth Prince sneered again and again. He was imagining all kinds of scenes of humiliating Ye Qing!
He was a five-star rune master, and his ability to inscribe runes was at the peak of perfection. He was far from being comparable to an ordinary five-star rune master.
On the battle stage, Ye Qing remained calm in the face of the five-star Gale Strike rune, without the slightest hint of panic.
As the gales swept over, Ye Qing blasted out the runes in his hands!
"Boom!"
An earth-shaking rumble echoed out. The might of Ye Qing's Four Star Annihilation Rune was hard to imagine. In an instant, it actually dispersed those violent winds, and an astonishing amount of essence energy poured out, causing those violent winds to collapse on the spot. They were simply unable to pose any threat to Ye Qing!
"How is this possible?"
On the battle stage, Ye Qing's opponent was extremely shocked. It was simply unbelievable!
In his mind, a five-star rune could definitely suppress a four-star rune because there was a fundamental difference between the two!
"What's going on?"
"Oh my god, a four-star rune actually lost to a five-star rune. It's simply unimaginable!"
"Could it be that I saw wrongly?
Or the rune inscribed by Lao Siji is not a four-star rune at all? "
"Impossible, that's a four-star Annihilation Rune. I've cultivated it before. How could it be wrong?"
Almost everyone was discussing and paying attention to Ye Qing's battle stage.
Because of Ye Qing's outstanding performance in the first round, he attracted the attention of almost all the spectators!
In the VIP seats, the sect master of the Divine Talisman Sect, Venerable Heavenly Talisman, was shocked. His eyes were filled with horror. Even with his attainments in runes, he still couldn't figure out what had just happened!
In theory, there was a fundamental difference between a four-star rune and a five-star rune. The difference in power between the two was huge, like a natural chasm that couldn't be crossed!
But just now, a four-star Annihilation Rune had defeated a five-star Gale Strike Rune!
"Brother Heavenly Talisman, what's going on?
Is there such a thing as challenging those at a higher level in the world of runes? "
In the VIP seats, the Third Marquis was shocked. His eyes were filled with disbelief!
The Third Marquis was not a rune master, but he had a certain understanding of runes. He knew that in the world of runes, everything was decided by the level of a rune. There was no doubt that a rune of a higher level could suppress a rune of a lower level!
"I don't understand, either."
Venerable Heavenly Talisman shook his head. His eyes were full of confusion.
Then, as if something had occurred to him, a beam of light shot out from his eyes!
"Could it be that what he inscribed was not a four-star Annihilation Rune, but a more powerful rune?"
Venerable Heavenly Talisman felt that something was wrong. He carefully recalled the scene when Ye Qing inscribed the rune just now.
"Oh my god, I've figured it out. What he inscribed was not a four-star Annihilation Rune, but a brand new rune that was modified from a four-star Annihilation Rune. It must have reached the level of a five-star rune!"
Venerable Heavenly Talisman stood up and stared at Ye Qing's fighting ring. He was shocked!
In the VIP seats, everyone nodded when they heard Venerable Heavenly Talisman's words. They secretly thought that Venerable Heavenly Talisman's guess was right!
If that was the case, then Ye Qing's rune skills were too amazing!
One must know that the method of inscribing runes was passed down by seniors in the Primordial Age. There was a fixed pattern and method!
It was extremely difficult to make improvements and breakthroughs on the foundation of the seniors. Even Venerable Heavenly Talisman could not do it!
"Lao Siji can improve existing runes and make them more powerful. With such strength, he can be called a Rune Grandmaster!"
Venerable Heavenly Talisman murmured. He was shocked and became more interested in Ye Qing's background.
As the Sect Leader of the Divine Talisman Sect, he was very familiar with all the rune geniuses in the capital city of Dachu. He knew the name of each of them, but he had never heard of Lao Siji!
"Men, I asked you to inquire about the information. Have you found anything?"
Venerable Heavenly Talisman waved his hand. An inner disciple of the Divine Talisman Sect came over and reported to Venerable Heavenly Talisman.
The answer that Venerable Heavenly Talisman received was very outrageous. Even with the Divine Talisman Sect's intelligence network, they could not find any information related to Lao Siji!
Venerable Heavenly Talisman found it hard to believe, but this was the truth. He could do nothing about it.
On the fighting ring, Ye Qing displayed amazing rune skills. Those Rune Masters who were ready to fight changed their expressions. They did not dare to compete with Ye Qing anymore!
The Rune Masters present were not fools. They had basically guessed that the rune Ye Qing used was not a four-star Annihilation Rune, but something even more terrifying!
Such a genius who could modify runes was difficult to defeat. Whoever went against him was asking for trouble!
