The Seventh Prince's mouth twitched. He was speechless.
He knew that Ye Qing's alchemy attainments were very high, and he was also very formidable in culinary arts.
But at most, he could only monopolize the alchemy and culinary areas.
Pentathlon?
That was a legendary existence. The Seventh Prince didn't think that Ye Qing could do it.
Everyone's energy was limited. To be able to discover a secondary occupation while focusing on the foundation of martial arts cultivation was already very impressive.
At most, he could develop two secondary occupations. That was enough to be called a prodigy.
Pentathlon?
Not only would it take a lot of time and energy, but more importantly, he might not have the talent.
"Seventh Prince, you can stay outside and be a spectator. Leave the first round to me."
Ye Qing's figure moved and rushed into the alchemy area, ready to show off his skills.
Behind him, the Seventh Prince and a group of experts flew over and entered the alchemy area to watch the competition.
The first round of the competition wasn't all open at once. It started with alchemy.
After all, there might be exciting competitions in each area, and the judges needed to record the points. There was no need to rush the competition. It would be held according to the order of each area.
The alchemy competition started first, followed by beast taming, talisman, cooking, and music.
The princes entered the alchemy area. The outstanding alchemists under them entered the arena and took out their alchemy cauldrons, ready to start refining.
Pill King Li stepped out from the Seventh Prince's camp. Some outstanding young alchemists also entered the arena.
"Everyone, the alchemy area's competition has officially begun. You need to refine the Great Firmament Crimson Cloud Pill within three minutes. One point for low grade, three points for mid grade, five points for high grade, and ten points for absolute grade."
There was an old man in the alchemy area. As the judge of the competition, he was also a famous alchemist in the Purple Sea Empire. He had a high prestige.
When the rules of the competition were announced, the alchemists present were eager to give it a try. Their eyes were fixed on the pile of spirit herbs in the center of the arena.
As the organizer, the Purple Sea Empire's imperial family provided the spirit herbs needed for alchemy. One had to admit that the Purple Sea Empire was generous. The spirit herbs provided were at least ten thousand years old, and there was no lack of twenty thousand years old saint herbs.
Moreover, what was even more attractive was that the pills that were successfully refined did not need to be handed over to the Purple Sea Empire. Instead, they could handle them themselves.
It had to be known that many outstanding alchemists were not members of the Purple Sea Empire's royal family. They were just geniuses that the princes had roped in.
Among them, there were some geniuses who didn't have much wealth. The Purple Sea Empire was providing the spirit herbs for free, and they could even take away the finished products after the event. It was simply too profitable.
In the middle of the pill refining area, all kinds of spiritual herbs were piled up into a small mountain, emitting a refreshing fragrance.
"All the herbs needed for the alchemy are here. Once the herbs are used up, the alchemy competition will be over."
The judge continued to add on to the rules of the alchemy competition. Due to the point system, there was a certain limit to the number of medicinal ingredients. Points could not be stacked infinitely.
"Everyone, if you are clear about the rules of the competition, then let the competition begin." The referee announced loudly.
Following the judge's command, all the alchemists in the alchemy area walked towards the pile of spirit herbs and prepared to refine the Zong Stage pills.
The difficulty of refining each type of Zong Stage medicinal pill was different. The Alchemists present basically all chose to refine the simpler Zong Stage medicinal pills to increase their success rate.
This way, they would be able to earn more points.
In the Seventh Prince's camp, Pill King Li was the first to take the stage. Last time, he had run around the palace and lost all his face. He had wanted to leave and no longer work for the Seventh Prince.
However, the Seventh Prince had chased after him and tried his best to persuade Pill King Li to stay.
In the end, Pill King Li had no choice but to agree to the Seventh Prince's request and work for him again.
In the Seventh Prince's heart, Pill King Li was of course not as useful as Ye Qing. However, Pill King Li was still an outstanding alchemist. He could still be of use.
In the Seventh Prince's camp, Pill King Li was the first to take the stage. He wanted to show off his strong alchemy skills and avenge his previous humiliation.
Following Pill King Li's appearance, many amazing alchemy geniuses also appeared in the Seventh Prince's camp. Of course, compared to Pill King Li, they were nothing.
"Ye Qing, I will prove to you that my alchemy skills are above yours!"
Pill King Li looked back at Ye Qing as he walked towards the stage. His eyes were full of hatred.
Ever since that day in the palace, Pill King Li had learned from his painful experience. After returning home, he turned his grief into strength and studied alchemy seriously. He had made a breakthrough to a certain extent.
Therefore, Pill King Li's confidence was off the charts. He wanted to challenge Ye Qing again and wash away his humiliation.
"Pill King Li, I'm very curious. Where did you get your courage from?"
Ye Qing stood in the crowd. He didn't walk towards the alchemy stage at all. His face was calm and indifferent. He didn't take the alchemy experts seriously at all.
Pill King Li's face was gloomy. He didn't speak anymore. The judge had already announced the start of the competition. He had to refine pills as soon as possible and try to get as many points as possible in the shortest time.
In the alchemy stage, a group of alchemy experts rushed forward and snatched many spirit herbs. There were even saint herbs over twenty thousand years old among them. They were given to the competitors for free as if they didn't cost anything.
In the seventh prince's camp, Ye Qing hadn't made a move yet. He was quietly watching the group of alchemists.
Ye Qing wasn't in a hurry, but the seventh prince was. He didn't open his mouth to urge Ye Qing, but the anxiety in his eyes said everything.
"Seventh prince, don't worry. Don't you have Pill King Li?
Let him earn some points for you first. "
Ye Qing's face rippled with a smile. He looked at the distant sky with an indifferent expression.
The seventh prince was helpless. When Ye Qing agreed to come to the Purple Sea Empire, they had an agreement. Ye Qing wasn't the seventh prince's subordinate. The seventh prince couldn't restrain Ye Qing at all. He even had to look at Ye Qing's mood.
In the alchemy stage, a rich pill fragrance wafted out. In just a short minute, some alchemy experts had successfully refined a grand-grade pill. There was no lack of grand-grade pills among them. They could earn five points.
Many of the alchemists in the seventh prince's camp had earned points, but only Pill King Li hadn't made a move yet.
When people noticed Pill King Li's situation, they realized that he was trying to refine a peerless grand-grade pill. There was already half a circle of pill veins on the pill. He was about to succeed.
"I was wondering why Senior Pill King Li hadn't succeeded yet. It turns out that he was refining the most difficult grand-grade pill."
"With Senior Pill King Li's strength, of course he wouldn't bother refining a grand-grade pill. You have to know that a grand-grade pill can earn ten points. It's very worthwhile."
A fervent discussion broke out. Everyone watched Elixir King Li concoct elixirs with awe in their eyes. They were deeply shocked.
Pill King Li's alchemy skills could be said to have reached the acme of perfection.
"Boom!"
All of a sudden, a shocking explosion erupted. The spectators were all stunned. Their faces were filled with astonishment.
Pill King Li in the alchemy stage was even more dejected.
