Hearing this, the Great Elder's eyes widened, indicating that he could not understand Ye Qing's thoughts.
He had clearly chosen the Second Elder's husband, Gongsun Xiao. Why did he change his mind now?
"Ye Qing, you have to understand that once you've decided on something, don't change your mind!" The Great Elder said with a solemn face.
Ye Qing spread out his hands. "My choice just now was not wrong. I did choose Gongsun Xiao."
The Great Elder was even more confused. With a helpless face, he said, "If that's the case, then what are you talking about?"
The Great Elder was almost convinced by Ye Qing. If not for Ye Qing's demon-like talent, he would have already taught this lad a lesson for not respecting his elders.
"Great Elder, you're still mistaken. I chose Gongsun Xiao, but it doesn't mean that I want to become her disciple!" Ye Qing said calmly.
The Great Elder's face darkened. "Ye Qing, what are you trying to say?
Don't speak in riddles. I don't have time to talk nonsense with you! "
The Great Elder was a little angry. He thought that Ye Qing was purposely causing trouble and wasting time.
"No, no, no. Great Elder, I'm not talking nonsense with you. I chose Gongsun Xiao because I feel that her talent is not bad. She's qualified to be my disciple."
Ye Qing spoke frankly with assurance. Everyone present was dumbfounded. One by one, they widened their eyes in disbelief.
Wanting to take Gongsun Xiao as his disciple? This idea was too much. One had to know that Gongsun Xiao was the Second Elder. Her status was noble. It was impossible for her to acknowledge Ye Qing as her master!
"Damn, after all this time, he wants to take Gongsun Xiao as his disciple. This idea is too bold!"
"Ye Qing, I'm convinced. Please accept my kneel!"
"Oh my god, does Ye Qing think that he can subdue Elder Gongsun Xiao just because he has some talent in music?
That's impossible! "
The inner sect disciples in the Martial Arts Practice Field were in an uproar. Everyone's hair stood on end, unable to maintain their composure.
Ye Qing's actions had undoubtedly crossed the bottom line of the elders' tolerance.
When the First Elder heard this, he was the first to lose his cool. He said in a deep voice, "Ye Qing, don't think that you can mess around just because you have monstrous talent. The Elders are choosing disciples now. You can't mess around!"
The Great Elder berated sternly. Many other Elders also voiced their dissatisfaction with Ye Qing's actions.
Wanting to take the dignified Second Elder as a disciple was too daring and presumptuous. In their eyes, it was a kind of blasphemy to the elders.
"Hey, you're not Gongsun Xiao. You don't have the right to make a decision for her. What if she's willing to become my disciple?"
Ye Qing rubbed his nose, looking like a dead pig that wasn't afraid of boiling water.
All the elders present were speechless. Gongsun Xiao was the second elder, so how could he agree to become Ye Qing's disciple?
Wouldn't that be the biggest joke in the world?
Not too far away, Gongsun Xiao was stunned. Clearly, she hadn't expected Ye Qing to make such a move.
Gongsun Xiao walked over leisurely, stopping fifty meters away from Ye Qing. Her lips curled into a smile as she said, "Ye Qing, I would like to ask, what do you have that's worthy of me acknowledging you as my teacher?"
Gongsun Xiao didn't get angry. Instead, a look of interest appeared on her face. As the Second Elder, she had never encountered such a bizarre situation before. The disciple she wanted to recruit actually wanted to take her in instead. Interesting!
"Gongsun Xiao, your talent in music is too lacking. If you want to improve further, you'll have to rely on me!"
Ye Qing's face turned grim. It didn't seem like he was joking. He could tell that Gongsun Xiao's talent in music had reached a bottleneck. It would be a long time before she could become a 9-star musician.
Ye Qing was only an 8-star musician, just like Gongsun Xiao. However, he possessed divine-level intelligence. As long as his cultivation reached the Imperishable realm, he would be able to become a 9-star musician immediately.
The reason why Ye Qing was unable to become a 9-star musician wasn't due to his lack of intelligence but the limitations of his cultivation.
"Is that so?
You're an 8-star musician just like me. What makes you think that you can teach me? "Gongsun Xiao retorted.
"Putting everything else aside, as long as you become my disciple, I can guarantee that you'll become a 9-star musician within three months!"
Ye Qing's face was stern, and his eyes were sincere. His face was brimming with confidence, and he didn't look like he was joking.
Hearing those words, Gongsun Xiao's heart skipped a beat. She could tell that Ye Qing's talent in music was extraordinary. Even though he was only an 8-star musician, he was able to influence and even control others through his music. He could be said to be a grandmaster in music.
Gongsun Xiao had been studying music for many years, but the only thing she could do so far was to use music to harm the souls of her enemies.
She had to admit that she couldn't do the same as Ye Qing, who used music to influence the martial artists in the arena.
They were both 8-star musicians, but Gongsun Xiao's understanding of the profession was clearly not as deep as Ye Qing's. There was a huge gap between the two.
"Are you serious?" Gongsun Xiao's eyes narrowed. She was a little tempted.
Becoming a 9-star musician within three months was something that she didn't even dare to think about.
Her cultivation was profound, and she had reached the Imperishable realm long ago. Her strength in martial arts was unfathomable.
However, she hadn't been able to make any progress in music for hundreds of years. She had been stuck at the Imperishable realm for a long time, but she was still an 8-star musician. She had been stuck at the bottleneck for so long that even she didn't think that she could become a 9-star musician.
In fact, there were very few 9-star musicians in the Eastern Wilderness. As for 8-star musicians, they were rare, but there was still a group of them.
If one could become a 9-star musician, they would be a true grandmaster in the music world.
"Of course it's true. Look at my eyes. Do I look like I'm lying to you?
I, Ye Qing, am an upright person. I never lie! "Ye Qing said seriously.
Gongsun Xiao observed his expression and was even more tempted. She didn't know why, but she felt a strong sense of confidence from Ye Qing. It was as if there was a voice in her heart calling for her to agree and become Ye Qing's disciple.
Ye Qing's words were sincere, as if he was speaking from the bottom of his heart.
In fact, as an Oscar -winning actor, his acting skills were always on point. He could tell any lie as if it was from the bottom of his heart.
Fortunately, there weren't many people in Higashiba Seimune who knew Ye Qing. If it were in the Thousand Country Battlefield, no matter how sincere Ye Qing was, no one would believe him.
In the Thousand Country Battlefield, Ye Qing's favorite thing to do was to trick people. He was famous for that.
"Gongsun Xiao, I've already said my piece. As for whether you're willing or not, it's up to you!
I, Ye Qing, don't casually take in disciples. If it weren't for your musical talent, I wouldn't even bother to look at you. "
Ye Qing pretended to be mysterious, causing the inner sect disciples in the Martial Arts Practice Field to twitch their mouths. They were speechless, as if they had received ten thousand critical hits.
"Damn, he's too shameless. This person's skin is thicker than the city walls. What does he mean by not looking at Gongsun Xiao?
He's obviously looked at her many times, okay? "
"Ye Qing, can you be any more shameless?
You want to take Elder Gongsun Xiao as your disciple? Dream on! "
"That's right. Goddess Gongsun Xiao will definitely not agree to your rude request!"
The inner sect male disciples were in an uproar. They were clear that if Ye Qing became Gongsun Xiao's master, he would have many opportunities to make his move while teaching her how to play the zither. At that time, their goddess Gongsun Xiao would most likely fall into Ye Qing's evil clutches.
