Nicholas was arrogant and did not take Ye Qing seriously at all.
He strode toward the rune stage and gradually disappeared under everyone's envious and respectful gazes.
A total of fifty true disciples chose their own stage and began to challenge it.
There were many obstacles in the passage. It was not an easy task to succeed.
Ye Qing's face rippled with a smile. His figure flickered as he chose the culinary stage.
His speed was very fast as he passed all the stages. In the passage, there were a few Nine Star Chefs who tested Ye Qing.
With Ye Qing's culinary skills, it was not a problem for him to pass all the stages. The delicacies that he cooked were praised by those Nine Star Chefs.
As for Nicholas, his speed was as fast as lightning as he walked through the rune checkpoints. All sorts of mysterious ancient runes were condensed, and even the rune masters of the Eastern Barren Saint Clan were full of praises for him.
Nicholas moved as fast as lightning. In less than forty minutes, he had passed all the stages.
He was full of confidence as he walked out of the stage. He thought that he was the first one to come out.
However, he did not expect to see Ye Qing's figure when he came out!
"This …"
Nicholas was shocked. His eyes were filled with disbelief. One had to know that the Holy Sanctum's assessment required one to complete the task within three days!
Nicholas did not need three days. In just forty minutes, he had passed all the stages. This showed that Nicholas's attainment in runes was superb!
However, Nicholas did not expect Ye Qing to be one step ahead of him. He was even faster than him!
"Impossible!
Ye Qing, you haven't started the assessment, right? "
Nicholas was inexplicably shocked and secretly guessed in his heart. In his view, it was impossible for Ye Qing's speed to be faster than his!
"Sorry, I started at about the same time as you guys."
Ye Qing faintly smiled. In reality, not only had he completed the rune trial, he had also completed the other four trials. None of them had been completed.
While the other true disciples were working hard, Ye Qing was shuttling back and forth between the five checkpoints. In less than three minutes, he had completed a total of five checkpoints!
In the temple, Hak Hyuk was dumbfounded. He originally thought that Ye Qing was only good at music, but he never expected that Ye Qing was proficient in all sorts of suboccupations!
What was even more frightening was that Ye Qing had chosen a total of five levels and completed all of them in a total of three minutes!
In the checkpoint, there were many seniors with secondary professions, and most of them were at the nine-star level.
Ye Qing was able to clear the stage within three minutes, which was terrifying. Even Hak Hyuk doubted his own eyes.
Nicholas didn't know Ye Qing's exact results. His eyes were filled with doubt as he stepped forward and walked towards Hak Hyuk. He asked, "Vice Sect Leader, may I ask what's the situation with Ye Qing?"
Nicholas didn't want to believe that Ye Qing was faster than him. As the number one true disciple, his pride wouldn't allow him to be worse than other true disciples!
"Didn't you see it?
He came out earlier than you. "Hak Hyuk said slowly.
"Impossible?
How can that be?
His secondary professions can't be better than mine! "
Nicholas's face gradually turned cold as a dangerous aura was released from his body.
"Nicholas, I don't mind telling you that Ye Qing completed all five stages in three minutes!"
Hak Hyuk said the truth. Many of the Elders present had serious expressions as they realized how terrifying Ye Qing was!
He was an all-rounder and had monstrous talent in each of his secondary professions. It was a blessing for the Higashiba Seimune to have such an outstanding talent in Higashiba Seimune!
Every secondary profession had a huge value. Ye Qing was an all-rounder and had displayed a heaven-defying talent. He would definitely be valued by the upper echelons of the sect in the future and would be heavily nurtured!
An all-rounder with a secondary profession. Such a situation was rarely seen in the world!
"Three minutes?
Five stages?
Deputy Sect Leader, are you joking? "
Nicholas was stunned. He couldn't believe that he had such profound attainments in runes and had become a nine-star runemaster. That was already considered a monstrous talent.
In order to study runes, Nicholas had spent a lot of time, which was why he had his current achievements.
It could be said that if he didn't study runes and instead focused on improving his martial arts cultivation, his current realm would definitely be higher.
Studying a secondary profession required a lot of time and energy.
Nicholas was completely stunned. He didn't believe that Ye Qing's talent was better than his!
"Impossible!
Ye Qing kid, I want to have a one-on-one duel with you! "
Nicholas's eyes flashed coldly. He stepped out and wanted to confront Ye Qing.
In terms of runes, he was never willing to lose to anyone in the younger generation.
"Oh?
You want to have a duel with me? Which secondary profession do you want to have a duel with?
Alchemy, runes, music, cooking, and beast taming. I'm good at all of them! "
Ye Qing said indifferently. All the elders present, as well as Feng Baihe, twitched the corners of their mouths.
Damn, although Ye Qing was an all-rounder, he was too low-key.
"What bullsh * t all-rounder? I'll have a rune duel with you first. Let's see what you're capable of!"
Nicholas was unconvinced. As a nine-star runemaster, he had mastered a heaven-defying nine-star archaic rune. He didn't believe that he would lose to Ye Qing.
"Runes?
Sure, I'll play with you. However, since it's a duel, there has to be a prize! "
Ye Qing grinned and rolled his eyes. He wanted to see Nicholas's rune attainments first before deciding how to deal with him.
"What do you want to bet?
Kid, what do you want to bet? Just say it. I'll play with you until the end! "
Nicholas was arrogant and domineering. He didn't put Ye Qing in his eyes at all.
"Nicholas, if I win, you have to promise me one thing. If I lose, you can do whatever you want with me!"
Ye Qing smiled. His face was calm, and there was no fear at all.
Recently, he had planned to expand the strength of the Demacian Empire. In the empire, other than Ye Qing himself, there were no other powerful nine-star runemasters.
Of course, whether Nicholas could enter Ye Qing's eyes depended on his performance.
"Alright!
We'll do as you say!
If I win, you just have to run around the mountains of Higashiba Seimune for three days and three nights, shouting that you're inferior to me! "
Nicholas stated his conditions. He wanted to duel with Ye Qing for his reputation. As the number one true disciple, he didn't want to fall behind.
If he ran around the mountains of Higashiba Seimune for three days and three nights, all the disciples and elders of Higashiba Seimune would be able to hear him.
Nicholas wanted Ye Qing to admit that he was inferior to him!
"Oh?
Nicholas, your conditions are very interesting. I agree!
Then, let's start the duel now! "Ye Qing grinned and placed his hands behind his back. He looked very confident.
