It turned out that the fastest way to control the stars was to observe their movements while simultaneously controlling their star energy. Lu Yin recalled that the Trialmaster had once said that the Sirius Technique was the technique that Lockbreakers desired the most. It seemed that not only could the Sirius Technique aid in lockbreaking, but Lockbreakers could also cultivate the Sirius Technique at a much faster rate than observing star charts.
Lu Yin left the secret room and removed the monkey's barrier, only to hear the monkey's helpless curses.
He had been cultivating in the Time Stop Space for half a year, but only an instant had passed in the outside world.
Gavin had just spoken with Madam Nalan.
Madam Nalan had found out that Lu Yin was buying sourceboxes, and she had sold three of them. They were all five star Discerning Elementary sourceboxes, and they were priced at an average of 300 star essence, which added up to 900 star essence.
For a five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox, this price was not high, and it was actually somewhat low. It was the lowest price for a five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox. However, for the Great Yu Empire's treasury, 900 star essence was equivalent to 90 million star crystals, which was a huge amount of pressure. Even so, Gavin still endured the pressure and bought it.
Madam Nalan did not refuse this time, as there were times when the other party would develop a habit of helping too much. She had been in the business world for a long time, and she knew when to help for free and when to accept payment.
After buying three sourceboxes from the Nalan family, Gavin calculated that he could not buy any more, as it would affect the empire's economy.
At that moment, Gavin received a message from Lu Yin, and he hurried over to King Zishan's palace. He was puzzled; Lu Yin had just left, so why was he being sent back?
Had Lu Yin changed his mind? He had already paid for the sourceboxes.
"Your Highness, I have already purchased three five star Discerning Elementary sourceboxes from the Nalan family for a total of 900 star essence, which is equivalent to 90 million star crystals." This was the first thing Gavin said when he saw Lu Yin, as he was truly afraid that Lu Yin would change his mind.
Lu Yin grunted and took out 900 star essence from his cosmic ring for Gavin. "This is my personal purchase, so there is no need to use the treasury's resources."
Gavin accepted the money, as the treasury truly did not have much money.
Generally, a Discerning Elementary sourcebox cost at least ten star essence, and that was just the starting price. As one's star level increased, the price would also double. A five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox cost 300 star essence, and the Nalan family had offered the lowest price.
"Your Highness, do you still want to buy more?" Gavin asked.
Lu Yin thought about it for a moment. "I can find a seller, but we'll see if I buy it or not."
"Yes."
"You can leave for now. I'll be going to Sourcepeak Planet in a while. Prepare a spacecraft for me."
"Yes, Your Highness."
At the same time, a luxurious mansion on Zenyu Star was surrounded by the Ninth Imperial Squadron. Quite a few people were watching, as they knew that this was the mansion of one of the empire's most powerful officials.
"Rocky Auna, how dare you search my residence?! I'm going to report you to the king's mansion!" roared an old man as he glared at Rocky Auna, who was standing outside his residence.
Everyone in the manor was escorted out by the Ninth Imperial Squadron. They glared at their surroundings furiously.
Rocky Auna sighed inwardly. The Auna family was about to embark on a path of no return, but if they did not take this path, they would gradually be forgotten. They could only hope that His Highness would be able to protect them.
"I'm sorry, Old Sir. Sir, you're suspected of colluding with officials and merchants, engaging in malpractice for personal gain, and embezzlement. The evidence is conclusive. Take him away," Rocky Auna shouted.
"Rocky Auna, I was wrongly accused! I want to see the Royal Regent! I want to see the Royal Regent!" The old man roared, his voice gradually fading away.
Many people outside the mansion watched excitedly.
Rocky Auna's eyes narrowed, and with a wave of his hand, the mansion was sealed. He then moved on to the next one.
In the short span of a day, four of the more influential families on Zenyu Star had been searched, and all of the businesses that were related to these families had their projects halted. Coincidentally, almost all of these businesses had been collaborating with the Nalan family.
When the middle-aged man in charge of the Nalan family's trade on Zenyu Star heard the news, his expression changed, and he immediately looked through the businesses that had been involved with these businesses. He discovered that they were all related to clothing and food, which weren't very important but still affected the people's livelihood. Coincidentally, these businesses were located in many different locations, which made it easy for the Nalan family's logo to be spread all over Zenyu Star.
The middle-aged man wiped the sweat from his forehead and immediately stopped his collaboration with the Nalan family. At the same time, he requested an audience with Minister of Finance Gavin.
Within the Auna family, Xueshan Auna was sitting in his study with his eyes closed, deep in thought. That night, Rocky Auna arrived. "Master, it's over."
Xueshan Auna opened his eyes, picked up a pen, and scratched out four names on a piece of paper. These were the four families that had been searched today.
Rocky Auna looked over and asked in surprise, "Master, what's this?"
Xueshan Auna looked at the paper with a complicated expression. There were many names on it, and nearly half of them had been scratched out. "This is a list of His Majesty, Undying Yushan's courtiers. Take a look."
Rocky Auna took a look, and his face paled. "The Royal Regent removed half of them."
Xueshan Auna looked up and sighed. "A new emperor brings with him new courtiers. The Royal Regent's methods are ruthless and decisive, and he handles matters flawlessly. He also has an unparalleled power to suppress everything, and the empire is completely under his control. The Thirteen Imperial Squadrons aren't the only ones who wield power, but also the Four Ministries and King Zishan's palace. You must remember that from now on, our Auna family will only listen to the Royal Regent."
"I understand, Master," Rocky Auna replied solemnly. He felt a chill run down his spine as he looked at the list of names on the paper.
There was a large courtyard within the Great Yu Empire's imperial palace, and this was where Undying Yushan had summoned Lu Yin. However, after the series of intense battles on Zenyu Star, the courtyard had gradually been abandoned.
Lu Yin arrived at the courtyard and ordered his men to seal off the area. He then looked at the three boxes in the middle of the courtyard that were of different sizes and were separated from each other. They were sealed with Spiritual Thread as the main material, and each box contained three five star Discerning Elementary sourceboxes.
Sourceboxes were ranked by star, and the biggest difference between them was whether they were harmful or harmless. Not only were harmless sourceboxes rare, but they were also very expensive. Although the chances of them containing treasures were even lower, to many Lockbreakers, this was a guarantee of safety that would allow them to gain valuable experience.
The prize that the Nalan family had given to the champion of the Astral Combat Tournament had been a harmless sourcebox, and it had been a Perceptive Intermediate sourcebox. It had been stored in Lu Yin's cosmic ring, but he had yet to unlock it. He planned to unlock these three sourceboxes first before unlocking the Perceptive Intermediate sourcebox.
He walked over to the sourcebox closest to him and reached out to open the Spiritual Thread box. A roar suddenly rang out, giving Lu Yin a fright. Gavin had told him that this sourcebox would emit the roar of a wild beast that possessed the power to affect one's mind. Lu Yin had been prepared for this, but he had still been frightened. At that moment, he felt as if he had seen a gigantic beast lying in the heavens and roaring at him.
Lu Yin shook his head and focused on the box. There was only a beast-shaped stone inside the box, and although it looked very ordinary, it was actually a sourcebox.
The beast's roar rang out again, and Lu Yin placed a hand on the box. With a bang, the box shattered, and the sourcebox let out an even more powerful roar. The air actually condensed and transformed into a giant beast that viciously swatted at Lu Yin.
With another bang, the ground shook, and a deep claw mark appeared.
Lu Yin was shocked, as the sourcebox's murderous intent had actually taken on a form. What was sealed here was definitely related to this beast. Any sourcebox that had transformed into a sourcebox had to have existed for countless years, at least hundreds of thousands of years. For it to still have such a powerful aura after such a long time, this beast must have been terrifying when it had been alive.
However, it was not a threat to Lu Yin. In his eyes, the rune lines of these three sourceboxes were not a threat at all.
He waved his hand, and a gale swept out. The beast in the air dissipated, and the beast's roar also gradually faded away.
Lu Yin walked over to the sourcebox and released his domain. His eyes widened as fifty stars revolved around him. If anyone saw this, they would definitely sigh in amazement. At this moment, Lu Yin was like the center of a universe, with stars revolving around him.
After observing for a while, Lu Yin decided to start unlocking the sourcebox from the center. There was less energy there, and it would be easier to unlock.
His control over star energy at the Subtle realm was different, and he was able to unlock it more smoothly than before. It was not as crude as when he had been on the Savage Ape Planet. If he had possessed the control of star energy at the Subtle realm back then, then he would not have been looked down upon by Casanova.
Once one's lockbreaking was on the right track, it became a very boring task. This was especially so after he confirmed that the sourcebox was not a threat to him.
Time passed by in this boring process of lockbreaking.
Outside the courtyard, Kayze occasionally glanced over with a shocked expression. He had not known that Lu Yin was such a powerful Lockbreaker. This was a five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox, and if Lu Yin succeeded in unlocking it, then wouldn't he be able to challenge a Perceptive Intermediate Lockbreaker?
Not only was this person's combat talent terrifying, but his lockbreaking skills were also incredible.
Lu Yin had never unlocked a five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox before, and this was his first time doing so. The complex energy structure made him dizzy, and he thought back to his first lockbreaking experience. It had taken him a total of twenty-seven hours. If he had been as strong as he was now, then he would have been able to unlock it in an hour at most.
Lu Yin estimated that this five star Discerning Elementary sourcebox would take him at least fifteen hours to unlock.
Fifteen hours was not light, and he needed to be completely focused. He could not relax for even a moment.
The sky turned from black to white as Lu Yin stared at the beast-shaped sourcebox in front of him. There was a pop as the energy structure on the sourcebox's surface completely disappeared, and the stench of blood surged out. Lu Yin's face changed, and he immediately sealed off his surroundings. He then retreated a few steps and stared at the beast's corpse that had fallen out of the sourcebox.
It was the beast that had taken form out of thin air before Lu Yin had unlocked the sourcebox. This sourcebox had actually sealed its corpse, but only half of it remained.
The fact that it had been sealed as a sourcebox proved that this beast had been extremely powerful when it had been alive. Lu Yin slowly approached it, as the flesh and bones of such a powerful creature were all very useful.
"Be careful, Seventh Bro. Don't break it. This is a powerful astral beast, and it's definitely much more powerful than that Elder Lohar you met," the monkey said excitedly.
Lu Yin carefully approached it, and suddenly, a gust of wind blew past. The beast's corpse gradually dissipated, turning into dust that drifted into the sky. The stench of blood in the air also disappeared.
The monkey howled, "My precious blood! That's the blood of a powerful astral beast, and it's gone just like that!"
Lu Yin also felt that it was a pity, as the blood of a powerhouse was very valuable.
"Seventh Bro, hurry up and unlock something else. Let's see what other treasures we can get," the monkey urged.
