Star Odyssey - Chapter75

"Normally, the corpses must be cleaned up immediately after a trial to prevent a new Corpse King from being taken away by the Neohuman Alliance, but Sigmund didn't do so this time. Baruda even defected, so the Empire decided that he colluded with another race," Bronsen explained.

Lu Yin nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

The Mathers family was a former subordinate of the Zishan Family, but Lu Yin had just entered the capital and had yet to gain a firm foothold. There was no way he could help Sigmund, so he could only pray for himself.

Lu Yin thought of Silver and was certain that he was a member of the Neohuman Alliance. Could he be a Corpse King?

That didn't seem likely!

Silver had left at Genma Space Station, so Lu Yin guessed that Baruda's defection had something to do with him.

Lu Yin didn't think too much about it. So what if he knew the truth? He couldn't say anything about it. Sigmund had been convicted of treason without a single explanation, so he couldn't be sure if the Zishan Family was involved.

This was different from Raas' probing on the spacecraft; this was a killing intent that even an Explorer couldn't avoid.

After observing Zenyu Star's environment for two hours, the spacecraft finally saw the majestic Great Yu Palace.

Towering buildings pierced the sky; this was the Grand Yu Palace, the center of power in the Great Yu Empire. Even from so far away, the majesty it exuded was shocking.

Xu San's lips trembled as he looked into the distance in fear. The Grand Yu Palace was like a monster that could swallow the heavens.

"The Grand Yu Palace is entered through thirteen gates guarded by the Thirteen Imperial Squadrons. The main gate is called the Grand Astral Gate and corresponds to the First Squadron. Your Majesty, His Majesty has ordered me to bring you in through the Grand Astral Gate," Bronsen said respectfully.

Lu Yin nodded silently and disembarked. He looked up and saw the palace towering into the clouds, the star energy visible to the naked eye rippling outwards.

Xu San was left behind; he didn't have the right to enter with his status, and he was only allowed to approach the palace out of respect for Lu Yin.

The Grand Yu Palace was huge, and it took twenty minutes to reach the grand imperial court through the Grand Astral Gate.

Along the way, Lu Yin saw the unique cultural heritage of the Great Yu Empire. Carved railings and jade buildings were carved with countless stories. There was little technology in the palace, and the further in he went, the more ancient it seemed. When he saw the imperial court, Lu Yin even suspected that he had traveled through the river of time and arrived in ancient times.

Bronsen bowed towards the hall and gestured for Lu Yin to enter while he waited outside.

He took a deep breath as he sensed the countless star energy undulations all around him. Step by step, he approached the palace and finally stopped outside.

Cough Cough

Undying Yushan coughed twice and looked out of the hall with a smile. "Come in."

All the courtiers stood solemnly. Only the captains of the Thirteen Imperial Squadrons turned their heads to look outside the hall curiously.

Lu Yin stepped into the palace, and with a single step, the world around him changed drastically. An indescribable pressure descended from the heavens, causing everything in front of him to turn grey. The ground trembled faintly, and he immediately lost his hearing. Lu Yin's pupils shrank; this was the pressure of an absolute powerhouse.

The air was distorted, as if threads were connecting the heavens and the earth.

Lu Yin's organs began to hurt, and his vision blurred. The star energy in his body was suppressed to the point where he couldn't move.

The courtiers slowly turned to look at the door, all sorts of expressions on their faces: seriousness, ridicule, arrogance, and so on. A native had suddenly transformed into King Zishan, who stood above countless others. This pressure didn't come from a single person, but from everyone. It wasn't released on purpose, but rather a rejection caused by dissatisfaction. The entire court wanted to expel Lu Yin.

Lu Yin felt dizzy, his fingers trembling as Undying Yushan's figure gradually disappeared. He couldn't take it anymore.

Huff!

With a low shout, Lu Yin bit the tip of his tongue and tore open the flesh of his palm. Fresh blood dripped down his palm, but the pain woke him up. He lifted his foot and took another step, completely entering the palace.

Suddenly, the pressure receded like a tide.

Everyone looked at him in shock; it wasn't easy for a Sentinel to withstand such pressure.

At the front, Crown Prince Dorren Yushan smiled, while the Second Prince curled his lips.

Amongst the captains of the Thirteen Imperial Squadrons, a bald, blind man nodded imperceptibly.

At the top, Undying Yushan laughed, "Come closer."

Lu Yin exhaled and raised his head to meet Undying Yushan's gaze. His gaze was solemn as he walked forward, passing by the courtiers and even the captains of the Thirteen Imperial Squadrons. Finally, he stopped in front of the Crown Prince and Second Prince. "Lu Yin greets His Majesty."

Undying Yushan smiled and was about to speak when he coughed again and drank some water, "Call me Royal Uncle."

Lu Yin bowed, "Royal Uncle."

Undying Yushan nodded, "You've suffered outside for so many years."

"Thank you for your concern, Royal Uncle," Lu Yin replied respectfully.

"Royal Brother, Royal Father has always been concerned about the Zishan Family. Where have you been all these years?

Why is there no news at all?

And who gave you the name Lu Yin? "Crown Prince Dorren asked.

Everyone looked at Lu Yin. Ever since Lu Yin's Zishan bloodline had been confirmed, the Great Yu Empire had been investigating him, but they hadn't been able to find anything. This was inconceivable. The Great Yu Empire was one of the top powers in the Frostwave Weave, but they couldn't even investigate a single person's background. This made everyone curious about Lu Yin.

Lu Yin had already prepared an answer, "To tell the truth, I've lost my memories and only remember this name. If you don't believe me, you can check my brain. I'm telling the truth."

Dorren quickly waved his hand and smiled, "Royal Brother, you're exaggerating. There's no need for that. Your identity as a descendant of the Zishan family has already been confirmed. No matter what happened in the past, the Great Yu Empire will always be your strongest backer."

"The Crown Prince is right. Little Yin, you can stay in the Empire with peace of mind. Take over the Zishan Throne and bring the Zishan bloodline to greater heights," Undying Yushan said clearly.

Lu Yin quickly agreed.

"Royal Father, has Royal Brother Lu Yin's residence been arranged?

If not, I'm willing to arrange it for him, "Second Prince Duque spoke for the first time.

Undying Yushan smiled, "No need, Little Yin doesn't need anyone to arrange his residence. The Zishan Palace is his home."

Everyone was shocked, "Your Majesty, you can't do that. The Zishan Palace has a high status in the Empire, not only does it represent the Zishan Throne, but it also represents the glory of the Great Yu Empire's powerhouses. It represents the Undying Zishan's achievements. Even if we return it to him, we have to wait until he grows up."

"Yes, Your Majesty, please reconsider."

"Your Majesty, please reconsider."

…

Lu Yin found it strange; it was just a place to stay. Did they have to make it sound like they were risking their lives to admonish him?

Bang! Undying Yushan flew into a rage, "I've already said what I wanted, do you want me to go back on my words?

I'm not dead yet, and it's not up to you to make decisions for me. "

Many of the courtiers paled, "Please forgive us, Your Majesty."

The Crown Prince and Second Prince bowed as well.

Lu Yin glanced around and found that only a few strange-looking people hadn't moved. Eh?

Why was there a loli?

There was a total of seven people. One of them was two meters tall and was completely black. One of them had fiery red hair and had a serious expression. One of them was emitting a cold aura and seemed unapproachable. One of them was bald and short. One of them was wearing a white coat and looked like a scientist. One of them was extremely handsome and looked even gentler than Xia Luo. There was also a petite Lolita. The seven of them looked quite unique. They stood at the front, second only to the Crown Prince and the Second Prince.

Lu Yin guessed that they were the captains of the Thirteen Imperial Squadrons, which were the most powerful in the Great Yu Empire.

"What are you looking at? Haven't you seen a beauty before?" The petite loli glared at Lu Yin.

Lu Yin was speechless and turned his head away. It was hard not to attract attention with their appearances, especially the bald, short, blind man. His appearance was second only to Seruzen's.

When the petite loli saw that Lu Yin had turned his head away, she proudly puffed out her chest and raised her head proudly.

"Alright, dismissed. I'm tired. Crown Prince, Second Prince, and Little Yin, please stay." The Emperor waved his hand tiredly.

The courtiers retreated one after another.

The petite loli glared fiercely at Lu Yin before she left.

Lu Yin ignored her; she was just a little girl, how could she be considered a captain?

Undying Yushan brought Lu Yin's group to the garden. The air in the garden was fresh, and the plants were all new to Lu Yin. Thankfully, he had spent some time in the Innerverse before, so it wasn't too strange.

Perhaps the Undying Yushan was getting on in years, but he began to reminisce about the past as he brought Lu Yin to tour the garden. Along the way, he reminisced about the past, leaving Lu Yin helpless. He wasn't even a member of the Zishan family, so he didn't have the time to listen to the old man's ramblings. However, the Undying Yushan had set his sights on Lu Yin, and even Dorren and Duque couldn't escape.
