"Gao Wang, this set of equipment is yours. Oh right, what kind of weapon do you like?"
As a general, Xu Tianyu naturally wouldn't give Gao Wang standard equipment. Instead, he took out the equipment from the steel factory, an armor with skills.
[Hidden Dragon Armor]
Defense: + 200
Skill: Counter Attack: Reflect 50% of the damage.
This was a full body armor. Although it was a little heavy and might hinder movement, it definitely wouldn't affect a third-rate general.
"City Lord, I like the spear."
Looking at the armor on his body, Gao Wang was delighted. There wasn't a general who didn't like armor and weapons. Moreover, it was such a high-quality armor.
Even when he was a soldier in Solitude City, he didn't wear such a good armor.
"Okay." Xu Tianyu took out a spear from his ring.
[Blazing Spear]
Attack: + 200
Skill: Fire: When attacking, there's a 50% chance of spewing flames and burning the opponent.
"Good spear."
The Blazing Spear was in Gao Wang's hand. He directly danced in the air with an imposing aura. Even Xu Tianyu retreated.
"As expected of a general, you're really strong."
Xu Tianyu was delighted. Now that Gao Wang had the support of a weapon, he could probably compete with a second-rate general. The enemies behind him should be enough.
"Gao Wang, I'll leave the enemies behind to you. Are you confident?"
"If I don't disgrace the City Lord's mission, I'll definitely return victorious."
Gao Wang said and directly knelt on one knee.
"If I don't disgrace the City Lord's mission, I'll definitely return victorious."
…
The fifty armored soldiers behind him also knelt on one knee.
"Very good. Behind you are your family and friends. I hope you can use all your strength to defeat the enemies."
"Yes."
Orderly voices exploded in the air. The sudden increase in morale made Xu Tianyu happy. This was the standard of a strong army. If they were properly trained in the future, they could become elite soldiers.
"As expected of a general's soldiers. They're really different."
Xu Tianyu waved his hand. Gao Wang immediately took over the command and arranged the soldiers to defend.
As for Xu Tianyu, he continued to keep up with the team. He did not think that a dozen enemies would be able to surpass Gao Wang and catch up to them.
If it was possible, he would have to make other arrangements to prove that the people who came were at least first-rate generals.
Xu Tianyu didn't think that he was a match for a first-rate general. When the time came, Xu Tianyu might have to abandon all the refugees in order to save his own life.
Although this was a very difficult decision to make, it was better than dying.
Moreover, he could give up on the other refugees, but he didn't want to give up on a second-rate strategist like Gao Hong.
"Gao Hong, walk a few steps faster. Go to the front of the group and find Hu Tiannan. If anything happens later, leave immediately."
Xu Tianyu came to Gao Hong's side and said seriously.
"City Lord, how can we do that? Abandoning the City Lord and the refugees? I, Gao Hong, cannot do that."
Gao Hong said stubbornly. Xu Tianyu couldn't help but smile bitterly.
"As expected, these knowledgeable people have bad tempers."
Xu Tianyu grumbled in his heart. However, he didn't continue to persuade him. He knew that it was useless to say anything. He only ordered Hu Tiannan to forcefully take the refugees away.
After Xu Tianyu gave his orders, Nilla also faced Gao Wang.
"Damn, good kid. You got fifty soldiers so quickly. Their armor is not bad."
Nilla wasn't surprised to see Gao Wang and fifty people blocking the way. After all, he didn't hide. If the other party didn't discover him, they would be fools.
