In response to the White Devil's shock, Xu Tianyu only smiled. He knew that the mermaid statue had taken effect.
Xu Tianyu did not want the matter of the statue to be leaked out, so he changed the topic, "How's the White Devil's shipbuilding going?"
"Oh, right. I was just about to look for you. We found this person among the refugees. He used to be a shipwright."
Xu Tianyu glanced at the other party. Suddenly, a status panel appeared before him.
[Chen Guang]
Aptitude: S Grade
Strength: Ordinary
Skills: Level 1 Shipwright: Construction of medium-sized and below ships. Construction speed reduced by 10%
"What a talent."
Xu Tianyu was delighted. He did not expect that apart from Gao Hong and Gao Wang, there would be another S Grade talent among the refugees.
"Chen Guang, right? In the future, you will be the marine logistics officer. You will be in charge of the construction and maintenance of the ships. How many people do you need? Just look for the White Devil. If you see someone with talent, help me train a few shipwrights."
Hearing Xu Tianyu's words, Chen Guang was overwhelmed by the favor.
When he was called over by the White Devil, he was a little afraid and nervous. But now, all these emotions had disappeared.
"What are you still standing there for? Quickly thank the City Lord."
The White Devil reminded him. Chen Guang immediately reacted and knelt down before Xu Tianyu.
"Thank you, City Lord. Thank you, City Lord. I, Chen Guang, will definitely build the most powerful ship for the City Lord in the future."
"Okay. Go and do your work."
Xu Tianyu helped Chen Guang up. Under the other party's emotional gaze, he let the other party leave.
"Is there any problem with the resettlement of the refugees?" Xu Tianyu asked the White Devil.
"No, we have already built a hundred houses in the outer city. Even if the population were to double, we would still be able to live in them. Now, most of the people are following Daniu and working on the construction. It is estimated that the wall will be completed in two days. Hu Tiannan has brought more than a hundred farmers and has already taken over fifty mu of land. This time, I came to ask you what you want to plant."
Due to the size of the city, Tenyu City was divided into an inner and outer city. The inner city was in the valley. Other than Xu Tianyu and a few high-ranking officials, not many people had entered the inner city.
The outer city was currently in the key construction phase, and because of the large population, the construction was also very fast.
"How are the seeds tested in the inner city?" Xu Tianyu asked again.
"We've tried five crops before. The growth of wheat and rice isn't very good. Maybe it's because this place is close to the sea. The potatoes and sweet potatoes are okay. It's about the same as the original yield. One mu of land can yield about three thousand kilograms of harvest."
The White Devil took a deep breath and continued.
"However, the harvest of the last crop exceeded our expectations. Corn. Corn seems to be very suitable for the climate here. One mu of land can yield six thousand kilograms. Moreover, the corn seems to be a little mutated. It grows better and bigger."
"Okay, since that's the case, then focus on planting corn. As for the rest, you can do as you see fit. However, you have to plant a little of each."
In the end, Xu Tianyu directly made the decision.
"Okay. Hu Tiannan said that in the future, we will probably increase the area to a hundred mu of land. In the end, we will stop in front of the Death Swamp. At that time, we should have enough space to plant anything."
"Okay. However, you have to be careful of the Death Swamp. Let Gao Wang lead some people to mark the border of the Death Swamp and check for dangers. I don't want the farmers to be killed by magical beasts."
