But now wasn't the time to think about this. They could only rely on their advantage in numbers to charge forward.
But such a loss would undoubtedly be disastrous. Once Helan Pass was taken, he would be overjoyed if the Demonkin army could only have a few hundred thousand soldiers left.
"Damn it."
While Wei Cheng was nervous, Xu Tianyu was undoubtedly under a lot of pressure as well.
The archers' ability to kill was limited. They simply couldn't stop the enemy's advance.
"President Tenyu, the Falcon Archers are exhausted."
Suddenly, a soldier came to report.
"Hurry up and replace them. After each Falcon Archer shoots 50 arrows, immediately replace them." The soldier immediately went to pass on the message.
There were simply too many enemies. With only 10,000 Falcon Archers, they couldn't take care of all of them.
"President Tenyu, the Demonkin's Storm Beast Cavalry has already broken through a thousand meters of defensive line. They are rapidly advancing towards our main gate."
"Have the Basic Magic Legion attack."
Countless fireballs streaked across the sky. The Storm Beast Cavalry seemed to be courting death. They crashed into the fireballs and exploded into corpses.
It wasn't that they didn't want to dodge, but they were surrounded by warriors. They simply had no space to dodge. They could only take the attacks head-on.
"President Tenyu, 200 Storm Beast Cavalry have broken through the defensive line. They are within a hundred meters of Helan Pass. They will reach the main gate in ten seconds."
"All Shield Warriors, attack. Kill all of these cavalry."
Out of the tens of thousands of Storm Beast Cavalry, only 200 survived. But they entered the gorge. The firepower on the checkpoint couldn't harm them at all.
But of course, Xu Tianyu wouldn't do something so wasteful to activate the mechanism for 200 people.
The main gate of Helan Pass opened. Warriors holding huge shields came out one by one.
They got into a battle formation. Facing the rapidly approaching Storm Beast Cavalry, they didn't hesitate to shout and thrust their shields into the ground.
Bang! Bang!
There were no fancy moves, just a head-on collision. The Shield Warrior on the first floor was directly sent flying by the terrifying impact.
But their deaths weren't in vain. The Storm Beast Cavalry was stopped for a moment.
How could the Shield Warriors let go of this opportunity to face the cavalry that had lost their mobility?
"Kill!"
From behind their shields, they stretched out their huge machetes and swung them down.
The Gale Beast Riders were beheaded along with their beasts.
"Kill!"
Clearly, the Storm Beast Riders knew that they had no way out. They took out their weapons and attacked the Shield Warrior.
"Ding ding."
However, their attacks were unable to break through the Shield Warrior's huge shield.
What followed was a massacre. It could be said that the Gale Beast Cavalry was not weak. It was just that they had encountered a unit that countered them.
"Retreat."
After dealing with all the cavalrymen and shield warriors, he moved the corpses of his teammates back to Helan Pass. Then, the steel gate closed once more.
"Damn it."
Of course, Wei Cheng also saw this scene. Originally, the Gale Beast Riders were known as the overlords of the plains, but today, they were actually slaughtered in such a tragic manner.
And all of this was because of that damned commander, Zhao Ke, that bastard. When I get back to the Imperial City, I'll definitely make him pay.
"All troops, listen up! Charge! Those who disobey will be beheaded!"
Seeing that the cavalry's mission had failed, Wei Cheng had no choice but to rely on the lives of his men to open the gate.
In just a short while, the Demons had already lost over two hundred thousand soldiers. If this continued, his million soldiers wouldn't be enough.
