While Xu Tianyu was instructing his men to search, the time for the Fossilized Worm to evolve had also arrived.
"Is the evolution over?"
The electric sparks on the Fossilized Bug's body were getting bigger and bigger. Xu Tianyu couldn't leave as he needed to protect the Fossilized Bug.
The electric sparks on the Fossilized Bug were getting bigger and bigger. Soon, the entire area was covered in electric sparks.
'Ding! Congratulations master. The Fossilized Bug has successfully evolved into a Lightning Bug.'
As soon as the system notification appeared, the electric sparks on the Fossilized Bug began to disappear.
Then, a blue bug about half a meter in size appeared in front of Xu Tianyu.
The two front claws of the bug were constantly releasing electric sparks. It looked very domineering.
[Lightning Bug]: A type of beetle that feeds on lightning. Its body is covered with a layer of armor, and its defense is extremely high. There are organs within its body that store lightning, and it can release lightning to attack enemies. It is 100% immune to all lightning-type attacks.
50% resistance to elemental attacks. 20% resistance to weapon-type attacks.
"Wow!"
Looking at the description of the Lightning Bug, Xu Tianyu couldn't help but exclaim.
It could be said that the Lightning Bug was the nemesis of Magicians. That 50% resistance to magic attacks was enough to give any four Magicians a headache.
Especially Lightning Magicians. They were immune to lightning attacks. In front of the Lightning Bug, they were like normal people.
Xu Tianyu didn't expect the Fossilized Bug's purification to reach this level.
In the past, the Fossilized Bugs would need to stick together to survive. But now, the Lightning Bug could stand on its own. It was the kind that couldn't be broken through by ten thousand people.
But for Xu Tianyu, this wasn't good news.
Because of the Fossilized Bug's evolution, its ability to feed had disappeared.
So, the Lightning Bug could no longer help Xu Tianyu with his cultivation. But with the Lightning Bug's combat strength and defense, it would be a very good helper for Xu Tianyu.
And Xu Tianyu had the Bug King's Command skill. He could control the Lightning Bug to fight at will. Compared to its support ability, this would be a better upgrade for Xu Tianyu.
For example, the Lightning Bug could be put to good use now.
"Lightning Bug, go destroy all the balloons."
Xu Tianyu used Insect King's Command, and all the newly evolved Lightning Bugs immediately scattered.
They swept through the forest in an overwhelming manner.
953... 968... 976... 999...
Looking at the Glory Battlefield notification, Xu Tianyu stared at it intently. There was only one left.
"Pfft ~"
1000
'Ding! Congratulations to Jadeflame Pavilion for completing the second mission. You have been rewarded with 5 Platinum Treasure Chests.'
After the Lightning Worms had flown over half of the forest, the last balloon was crushed under their pincers.
The Glory Battlefield also sent the news in a timely manner.
"Whew ~"
Xu Tianyu and all the disciples of Jade Flame Pavilion breathed a sigh of relief.
Tian Sha slumped to the ground. He was really exhausted just now.
"Wow, luckily the Fossil Worm has evolved. Otherwise, we might not have been able to complete the second mission."
Tian Sha said while panting.
"Yeah, but these are not called Fossilized Bugs anymore. They are called Lightning Bugs. These Lightning Bugs are really powerful. They can crush a tree or a building. It's as if there's no resistance at all."
Ning Cheng also slumped to the ground, wiping the sweat off his face. At the same time, he looked at the Lightning Bugs flying in the sky. He had an indescribable feeling of power.
