The others were relieved to hear Wu Ming say that the Beast Tamer team had the ability to make it to the top 30.
Others might not believe it, but Wu Ming's words could be trusted.
In the past, some people might have doubted it.
But after the first round of the Beast Tamer Competition, the members of the Beast Tamer Team all trusted Wu Ming and regarded him as the core of their team.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we meet again!"
At this moment, a familiar voice came from the speakers.
Wu Ming looked up at the big screen and found that the host, Wang Ying, was really busy.
She was actually the host for both the Beast Tamer and Beast Tamer divisions.
"I believe everyone has watched the first round of the Beast Tamer Competition two days ago, right?
"Don't you think it's wonderful?"
"Don't worry. Next, we are going to have a competition between Beast Tamers!"
The host, Wang Ying, stood on the flying pet with a tablet in one hand and a microphone in the other.
"Next, please look at the rules of the Beast Tamer Competition."
Words appeared on the screen.
"The Beast Tamer Competition is also divided into a team competition and an individual competition. There are five stages, namely rescue, battle, transportation of supplies, danger removal, and capturing ferocious beasts. Points will be awarded in the team competition and the individual competition."
The audience was excited to hear the competition schedule coming out so soon.
Compared to the secretive Beast Tamer Competition, the Beast Tamer Competition was more straightforward. Many people were looking forward to it.
"Today, we are going to have the individual competition of the rescue competition.
"As the name suggests, the rescue competition is about the cooperation between the Beast Tamer and the pet to rescue the hostages.
"Due to the special nature of the Beast Tamer Competition, we can't have the competition in the stadium.
"In today's individual competition, nine hundred participants from three hundred teams will enter an abandoned town in the Sunset Forest to rescue the hostages.
"There are one thousand hostages in total.
"There will be all kinds of problems during the rescue. The more hostages rescued and the less injured they are, the more points they will get.
"The maximum score for each hostage rescued is one hundred points. Points will be deducted if they are injured. If the hostage dies, you will get fifty points. If the hostage is not rescued, you will get zero points.
"In addition, there are detailed rules for deducting points."
The host, Wang Ying, pointed at the big screen and kept reading the rules.
Wu Ming found that if the hostages were dead, they would get fifty points. That was because they had at least brought back the hostages' corpses.
However, if the corpse was incomplete, points would be deducted.
Of course, if they couldn't even bring back the corpse, they would get zero points.
"Are all of the hostages real people?
If that was the case, it would be too inhumane!
In the wild, hostages are easily killed by ferocious beasts. "
"Exactly!"
"Even if he's a wanderer, it's still fate!"
The audience in the stadium shouted.
Wang Ying welcomed him with a smile and said,
"Don't worry, everyone. The competition this time is a simulation, so the hostages used are all dummies with various sensors. The material is similar to a real person, so it's enough to pass off as a real person."
Hearing that it wasn't a real person, the audience heaved a sigh of relief.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the dummy used for the competition."
Wang Ying pointed to the ground.
There was a large box there. After it opened by itself, a mannequin that looked similar to a real person was standing there. The beastmasters present went up to inspect it curiously, and discovered that it was indeed a mannequin.
That being said, the texture, the weight, and the toughness of the skin were similar to that of a real person. Each one would cost at least one hundred thousand pet coins.
"So, are the rules clear now?"
After all the participants had inspected the mannequins in the stadium, Wang Ying pointed to the big screen. A countdown appeared on it.
"The competition will officially start at nine o 'clock in the morning. All participants will have to depart from the stadium, pass through the forest, and head to the abandoned ancient town ten kilometers away to find the mannequins hidden there.
"For this individual competition, the participant with the highest score in the team will be the one with the most effective score.
"Time, two hours.
"The countdown starts now!"
As Wang Ying's voice faded away, the time on the big screen began to count down, from two hours to one hour and fifty-nine minutes.
"Let's go!"
The nine hundred participants set off right away.
Mu Wanyan carried the Little White Fox and jumped onto the Mighty Bear's shoulder, rushing to their destination with Huang Sanba.
"Wait for me!"
The captain of the Beast Tamer team, Li Mohuang, hurriedly waved at the two and sat on his E-rank pet, the Warrior.
Whoosh!
None of the nine hundred beastmasters were willing to be outdone. They tried their best to arrive at the scene as quickly as possible.
The competition had a rule that no one was allowed to snatch hostages.
Therefore, whoever found the hostages first would have priority.
"Look, the beastmasters have set off!"
The host, Wang Ying, stepped on her flying pet and followed the team out of the city. There were many Projection Beasts beside her.
They were looking down at the ground, projecting the image of the beastmasters running wildly in the forest onto the big screen.
The audience could understand the situation by looking at the screen.
In the villa.
Wan Siyu mumbled, "Isn't this just a competition of speed?"
"When rescuing hostages, speed is a huge factor, especially when the hostages are in danger in the wild. The faster you are, the sooner you can arrive at the scene and rescue them."
Wu Ming explained.
"Oh, I see!" Wan Siyu came to a realization.
Above the forest.
The host, Wang Ying, discovered that many ferocious beasts had appeared in the forest. Although most of them had no grade, they still charged at the running beastmasters.
The two sides clashed in an instant.
"Look, the battle has begun!"
"A pack of Nether Wolves have entered the Sunset Forest and are attacking the participants!"
Wang Ying explained.
Although there were as many as five hundred Nether Wolves in this pack, there were even more beastmasters and pets at the scene. There were nine hundred of them, and all of them were at least grade F. It was almost a one-sided battle.
Rip!
On the screen, the battle pet warrior that Li Mohuang was riding on waved its long sword and easily cut down a few wolves. It was very agile in the forest and rushed to the front of the group in an instant.
"Good job!"
Jialan City's team shouted and cheered.
In comparison, the Mighty Bear, which was bigger in size, was much slower in the forest. It was currently in the three hundredth place.
"Huang Sanba and Mu Wanyan are lagging behind. This is not good!" Su Ying frowned slightly.
"The Mighty Bear is fast, but it's not agile enough. It has to take a detour in the forest. It's not easy to move," Gu Shaocheng said.
"Then let's just push!" Wu Ming complained.
Perhaps it was because of telepathy, in the image, the Herculean Bear suddenly stopped taking a detour and charged forward.
As long as the trees it encountered were not as thick as a bucket, it would break them. It was like a bear-shaped bulldozer. In less than a minute, it had reached the top one hundred.
"Awesome!"
The audience also saw the Mighty Bear rushing forward. They gave it a thumbs-up.
Five minutes later.
The leading group finally arrived at their destination.
On the screen.
It was a ruin that stretched for two to three kilometers and covered an area of several square kilometers.
This was the place where the hostages were hidden.
