"Chief Lei."
Inside the police command vehicle, the middle-aged team leader opened the document faxed to him from the patent department. After a moment of silence, he asked, "In 2018, you registered the relevant patent for this phone, right?"
"Yes."
Snapping out of his daze, Lei said seriously, "Actually, the relevant patent was registered as early as 2017.
MIX ALPHA uses a portion of this patent.
The phone Transdimensional's UP reviewed seems to have a greater use of the surround screen technology. This patent was registered last year. "
"Has your company ever had a manufacturing plan for this soft-screen folding phone?"
"I have.
I've discussed it with several technicians from the technical department. We even held a meeting in the first half of this year. I've also had my secretary bring the meeting minutes over. "
"Is it convenient for me to take a look?" Although the middle-aged team leader asked, he had already extended his hand.
"Of course."
Stepping out of the command vehicle, Lei accepted a folder from the male secretary standing outside the vehicle and handed it to the middle-aged team leader.
"Thank you."
Opening the folder, the middle-aged team leader pulled out the document inside and carefully read through it.
Meanwhile, Lei turned to look at Chen Yu's review on the screen. However, he didn't pay any attention to it as his mind was already overloaded.
Roughly ten minutes later, the middle-aged team leader returned the document to the folder and asked, "Do you have a copy of this record?"
"Yes."
"I'll take this with me, then."
"No problem."
"Um..." After hesitating for a moment, the middle-aged team leader said, "Based on the contents of your meeting, the shape of this phone seems different from Transdimensional Review's phone."
"That's right."
Nodding, Lei said, "For flagship or concept products like this, we have to go through very complicated research, experiments, and engineering before we can determine the final version.
According to our original plan, this phone would only be manufactured five years later.
After all, there are a lot of testing procedures. "
"What about now?" The middle-aged team leader's gaze suddenly sharpened.
"..." After remaining silent for a long time, Lei raised three fingers and said, "Three years."
"Exactly the same?"
"It can only be identical.
If we change it, the timeline will be extended. "
"In other words..."
Nodding, Lei said, "In other words, without Transdimensional Review, this phone might not appear until a long time later. In fact, the project might even be aborted due to budget and technical difficulties.
However, after watching the review, we can manufacture an identical phone within three years according to the design of the phone shown in the livestream.
The other major mobile phone manufacturers will also have this standard. "
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged team leader tightened his grip around the folder.
In the end, it was because of this phone's review that led Xiaomi to create a new phone in the future.
It was only because Xiaomi had created a phone in the future that this phone was reviewed …
Cause and effect, which came first?
Which one is the queen?
Or perhaps the cause and effect of the cause and effect of the cause and effect of the other …
In his mind, the same storm of thoughts as Rebus began.
After a long while …
Lei Busi probed, "Are we going to cancel this project?"
"If we cancel it, won't the cycle of time be broken?" the middle-aged team leader asked.
"Maybe not." Lei Jun lowered his head. "Three years later, this flexible screen phone will definitely appear.
You must know about Grandmother's Paradox. "
"… This problem is no longer something we can discuss. We don't have the final say. Let's leave it to the higher-ups.
But I have a feeling that the higher-ups will definitely ask you to produce it.
It's impossible for your company to cancel the project. "
Rubbing his swollen temples, the middle-aged team leader stood up and stretched out his hand. "Thank you very much for your cooperation, Chief Lei. I'll be troubling you again in the future."
Lei Busi tactfully stood up and shook the middle-aged team leader's calloused hand. "This is what I should do. If there's nothing else for the time being, I need to deal with the company's problems."
"Go, then. Pay attention to your employees' emotions. Don't let any chaos occur."
"Okay."
After watching Lei Busi leave, the middle-aged team leader lowered his head and looked at the folder in his hand. He then focused his gaze on the screen.
After a while, he pulled out his phone and said, "Pay attention to concealment. Begin probing operations."
…
"I've finished testing the phone's performance. The screen's resolution is really high.
Moreover, I've discovered a particularly interesting bug. When playing Kings of Glory, I can enter the game in mobile mode and transform the screen into a tablet. This way, my field of view will double!
I can now see half of the battlefield. There's practically no need for a minimap anymore.
"I feel that this bug can last for three years.
Once the phone leaves the factory three years later, Kings of Glory's officials will fix it. "
Click!
Closing the screen, Chen Yu swiped the phone in front of the camera. He then continued, "Honestly, among the many products I've reviewed, this phone is the one that gives me the most realistic feeling.
This is because this phone is only three years away from us. In fact, it is even closer to our current level of understanding.
"Even so, it is still sufficiently unexpected.
It allows us to experience what is meant by technology changing with each passing day.
Thinking back to seven or eight years ago, video calls were still considered 3G street advertisements. Now, however, we have already gotten used to it.
What's even more difficult to imagine is that the speed of technological progress will only get faster and faster. "
Turning off the phone, Chen Yu interlaced his fingers and made a final conclusion.
"We are blessed to be in the modern era.
However, compared to the future, we are sad.
We are even sadder than the ancient people we see.
"Meanwhile, this is the charm of technology. It is the reason why all humans strive for it.
"Alright, today's additional livestream is coming to an end. It's true that it was short, but it was very fulfilling."
[Fulfilling my ass!
You're just too damn short!]
[Short!]
[Short + 1!]
[It's short and fast. What a shame!]
[Can you not be so fast?
At least let us fly around it once!]
[Will there be another livestream tomorrow?]
[No. Let's unsubscribe.]
[The phone review isn't over yet!
Are you in a hurry to go back and play with your female assistant?!
Take a picture!]
[Right!
Take a picture and let us experience the phone's pixels three years from now.]
[Just take a picture of the female assistant's legs.]
[Take a picture of everything.
After all, wearing clothes is taboo, but taking everything off is art.]
[We like art.]
[Don't turn it off!
I'm driving over!]
[Bullshit!
I'm at the scene right now. The surroundings have been sealed off.]
[UP, your zodiac might be a rabbit.]
[Fuck, goodbye.]
Raising his wrist, Chen Yu glanced at the bullet comments displayed on his watch. He then shrugged helplessly and said, "It's time to end it. It's just a phone. There isn't much else worth reviewing.
If everyone really wants to see it, just look forward to the official livestream in three weeks.
"Since my access has been increased, the product for the fourth official livestream will definitely be a treasure.
I hope everyone will continue recommending it offline.
"Finally, since everyone wishes to see the phone's pixels, as a conscientious UP, I naturally have to satisfy everyone."
After saying so, Chen Yu picked up the phone and activated the camera function.
The bustling night scene of Beijing was immediately reflected on the screen.
Due to the front and rear screens, the audience could also see the scenery captured by the camera through the rear screen.
"Huh?
How interesting. "
Flipping the phone around, Chen Yu said, "I found another small function of this phone.
When I take a picture of others, they can also see if I took a good picture.
"Let's see if I can take a picture of the moon. This is a technology from many years ago..."
After saying so, Chen Yu moved the phone upward and aimed it at the moon hanging in the sky.
"..."
"Crap?
Paratroopers?! "
