The greater the mass of the star, the faster it burns, and the shorter its lifespan. "
Inside the Type-R Spacecraft, while waiting for the star to explode, Chen Yu pointed at the blue giant and gave a simple explanation to the audience. "When a star's hydrogen fusion reaction stops, the star's center will start collapsing.
And the collapse of the center would cause the pressure inside to increase, the temperature to rise, and the external volume to expand rapidly!
The degree of expansion can even reach several times or more than ten times its original volume. "
"If the star is big enough, the temperature of the core after the collapse can exceed 100 million degrees, igniting helium and starting the process of helium fusion."
"But unlike hydrogen fusion, helium fusion can only convert a small amount of mass into energy, and the duration is very short.
Therefore, it would not be long before the star's core continued to collapse.
And the external volume will naturally expand even more. "
"After that, the core temperature doubled again, and many new elements were born.
Among them, the most abundant are carbon, oxygen, nitrogen … "
Spreading his arms, Chen Yu said, "This is the reason why the blue supergiant is so large.
Its core had already experienced multiple collapses, and its outer shell had completed multiple expansions.
Now, its internal temperature has exceeded five billion degrees, and even the iron element has been burned out. "
"In less than ten minutes, it will run out of fuel and will no longer be able to support its huge and heavy shell.
After that, the entire collapse process will take no more than two seconds. "
"Can you imagine what kind of damage the explosion of such a huge super star can cause if the time of the collision and explosion is compressed into two seconds?"
"This kind of explosion is called a supernova explosion."
After saying so, Chen Yu stretched out three fingers and said, "Based on the blue supergiant in front of us, the energy it releases in one minute after its explosion is equivalent to 300 years of radiation from the entire Milky Way.
[F * ck!]
[F * ck …]
[Are you playing with your life?]
[Blue Superstar: Your grandpa is still your grandpa.]
[Then we'll be ten light-years away from each other. Not even ashes will be left behind, right?]
[I now deeply suspect that the UP is conducting a Russian rescue operation.
Stop messing around, HAL is fine too …]

"It can be predicted that after this supernova explosion, there will be no life in the star system in the bombardment area.
Including bombarding the solar system outside.
Because the distance between the two is too close. "
"But don't worry, everyone. No matter how powerful the explosion is, it can't exceed the speed of light.
For at least ten years, Earth would not be harmed in any way.
Ten years later, we'll have a way to deal with it. "
After saying so, Chen Yu raised his wrist and looked at the time. "There are only five minutes left. I'm going to take action.
Let me remind the audience on Earth not to look at the sky, or else it will easily cause eye damage. "
Taking a deep breath, he activated the E · I Force Field and floated in midair. Controlling the spaceship, he unfolded the entire wall facing the blue giant!
The interior of the ship was completely exposed.
Immediately afterward, he shouted at Little Peach on his watch's screen, "Listen to my command and get ready."
"Understood!"
"Don't forget to protect yourself.
If you get hit by the gamma-ray stream, you'll be dead on the spot. "
"Understood." Patting her chest, Little Peach said, "You can definitely trust me."
"If it wasn't for the fact that dogs can't wear protective suits and Hermione can't leave the castle, I really don't want to trust you."
"Nah..." Lowering her head shyly, Little Peach said, "There are so many people watching. It's embarrassing for you to say that."
…
At the same time,
America, New York, Alliance Building:
The middle-aged team leader hastily swiped the tablet screen, contacting China, which was thousands of miles away, and exchanging information and data.
"Leader, how are things over there?"
"There are generally no problems. Only, there are still 12 flights that won't make it in time. We can only clear the highways and make forced landings."
"There are four minutes and 42 seconds left," Big Sis Wu said anxiously.
"I know."
The middle-aged team leader turned off the screen and slammed the tablet on the table. "In any case, we can't do anything here, so we might as well not look at it. It's free."
"The screen broke..."
"It doesn't matter. We won't be able to use it in four minutes anyway."
Looking up at Chen Yu, who was on standby on the big screen, she then swept a glance at the chaotic crowd in the hall. Sighing, Big Sis Wu said, "All of our electronic equipment is damaged. How are we supposed to return..."
Ding! Ding!
Ding! Suddenly, a crisp ringtone rang out. Taken aback, Big Sis Wu hurriedly picked up the tablet with the broken screen. Looking at the screen, she found that it was a video call.
"Leader, it's the staff team."
Narrowing his eyes, the middle-aged team leader reached out and accepted the call.
The screen immediately went black. Afterward, HAL's figure appeared.
"I knew it was you," the middle-aged team leader said expressionlessly. "According to the rules, the staff team cannot contact me across ranks."
"Hello, China's special situation team leader.
We meet again. "
"We've met a few times today.
Is something the matter? "
"You have a relatively close relationship with Chen Yu, so I wish to ask you for a favor," HAL said calmly.
"First of all, I must state that I am just an insignificant person. I cannot affect any of Chen Yu's decisions."
"I understand. I only wish for you to help me pass a message to Chen Yu."
"Wait a moment, then."
Pulling out a pair of closed earphones from his pocket, the middle-aged team leader plugged them into the tablet's earpiece, and said, "Speak now."
On the screen, HAL's lips parted slightly.
Meanwhile, the middle-aged team leader's expression was incomparably fascinating...
...
Two minutes.
One minute.
Thirty seconds.
Ten seconds...
Time passed minute by minute.
Meanwhile, the blue supergiant's expansion speed was visibly increasing.
While hovering inside the spacecraft, Chen Yu subconsciously clenched his fists and reported the time, "Eight seconds left.
Seven seconds... "
【6！】
【666！】
[Five...]
[Four seconds, four seconds, four seconds...]
"Three.
"Two...
"One..."
Instantly, the blue supergiant's expansion came to an abrupt halt.
From the camera's perspective, the blue star and the black deep space looked as if they had become a still image.
After another "long" second passed...
Whoosh!
Blinking his eyes, Chen Yu felt his vision blur. In the next moment, the blue supergiant began shrinking at a frightening speed!
This shrinking speed had even surpassed the Type-R Spacecraft's maximum normal speed!
Due to the blue supergiant's rapid shrinking speed, everyone could still see layers of afterimages of the blue supergiant due to its limited dynamic vision.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
As the star shrunk, its luminosity also grew proportionally brighter.
In just two seconds, the originally massive blue supergiant had shrunk into a "small white ball" with near-infinite luminosity.
Boom!
Chen Yu simulated a loud explosion in his mind...
Afterward, a distorted band of light suddenly erupted!
It was as if the entire universe had been dyed blue in an instant!
This was a blueshift caused by the speed of light. The blueshift was far more colorful than the blue supergiant's original color.
The dazzling blue light continued expanding for three seconds, transforming into an hourglass-shaped jet stream that was far more dazzling, concentrated, and dense than the Milky Way!
Due to Chen Yu standing at a specially selected angle, the cones of light produced by the supernova looked more like two infinitely extended triangles in his and the audience's eyes.
[Dammit...]
[Outrageous.]
[Is this a supernova explosion?
It's so bright that I can't see anything clearly.]
[The brightness has clearly been reduced by who knows how many times. Otherwise, the screen would be completely white by now.]
[Do you see the cones of light extending to the left and right?
That's a gamma-ray burst. The cones contain all kinds of light and heavy elements. If hit at close range, even planets will be blasted to smithereens.]
[What nature's uncanny workmanship is!]
[Mother Nature: How can I...]
"Now's the time!"
After silently pondering for just the right amount of time, Chen Yu abruptly shouted, "Little Peach!
Earth's equator is at a right angle of four million kilometers!
Open the door! "
"Yes, sir!"
Little Peach, who was currently inside Earth's Super Floating Castle, immediately slipped out of the camera's view. She then rapidly manipulated the Interstellar Portal, entered the coordinates, and pushed the door open!
Boom!
Outside the door was the pitch-black universe.
"Mr. Chen, it's opened."
"Are you sure it's at a right angle of four million kilometers?"
After taking another look at the console, Little Peach nodded and said, "I'm sure.
What should we do next? "
"Go in and enter the coordinates I sent you," Chen Yu said as he swiped his finger across his watch and sent a string of data to Little Peach.
"Okay."
After earnestly memorizing the coordinates, Little Peach nimbly entered the Interstellar Portal and arrived at a location four million kilometers away from Earth. She then entered the address.
"Y: 33560156006123; X: 857412; Z: 109978457.
The planetary gravity is positioned at 40 degrees from Jupiter... Huh? "
Stunned by Chen Yu's words, Little Peach hurriedly returned to the Interstellar Portal. She then picked up her phone and asked, "Mr. Chen, did you make a mistake?
Why is the coordinate verification location still near Jupiter? "
"It's this location!
I told you to open it, so open it! "Chen Yu bellowed." Hurry up!
It's too late! "
"Oh, okay!"
Little Peach hurriedly flew back to the Interstellar Portal. After carefully inspecting the coordinates, she pressed the "Start" button!
"Buzz!"
The sound of metal resonating rang out.
Under the livestream rooms' hundreds of millions of viewers, a Interstellar Portal suddenly opened inside the Type-R Spacecraft ten light-years away from the solar system!
[Crap?!]
[Crap!]
[Crap...]
[Impossible!]
[How is this possible?]
[Isn't the Interstellar Portal's maximum range limited to within the solar system...]
[Oh my god!
They're openly changing the setting!]
[Dammit!
UP, you can't be thinking of sending the gamma-ray beam over through the Interstellar Portal, right?]
[Why is that?]
"Hu..."
Seeing that the Interstellar Portal had successfully opened before him, Chen Yu breathed out a sigh of relief and said, "It's a success! Awesome!
Brothers, share your awesomeness on the public channel!
Quick! "
[Awesome!]
[Awesome... Awesome...]
"Everyone must be wondering why the Interstellar Portal, which can only be opened within the solar system, would open ten light-years away?"
Looking at the approaching non-bipolar gamma-ray stream, Chen Yu operated the Interstellar Portal while quickly explaining, "The reason is simple. My current location, the space inside the spacecraft, is still within the solar system!"
[This...]
[I get it!]
[I get it too!
How can this be possible?!]
[Crap!]
[Amazing!
Amazing!]
[I'm dumbfounded...]
"Everyone should still remember that the principle behind the spacecraft's FTL is to 'move' through space!
Not travel through space!
The principle of movement is to shrink the space in front and expand the space behind. However, the independent space inside the spacecraft remains motionless!
"In the field of space, there is no such thing as a distance attribute.
For example, Y: 1, X: 1, Z: 1 and Y: 2, X: 2, Z: 2 are two coordinate combinations. No matter how many billions of light-years apart they are, they are still adjacent in spatial structure!
"Therefore, the space inside the solar system, which is independent of the solar system, is still considered within the solar system!"
Smack!
Smacking the Interstellar Portal's frame, Chen Yu smiled and said, "This is the fundamental reason why the Interstellar Portal can open here!
HAL and I have emphasized countless times how humans can create their current glory.
It's because we never lack that flash of inspiration!
"Next, watch me collect HAL from ten light-years away!
"Kill!"
As soon as Chen Yu said so, the Interstellar Portal suddenly expanded!
Meanwhile, the gamma-ray beam released by the supernova explosion also bombarded the spacecraft...
