At noon, we went online and appeared at the edge of the snowy plains. However, when we reached the edge of the map, we discovered that there was no way forward. There was a cliff in front of us, and when we looked down, we couldn't see the bottom. There was snow everywhere, and it was a vast expanse of white.
"Where's the boss?"
Ling Yue looked a bit confused. "The map shows that the last boss of this quest should be here..."
"We've reached the end of this path," Ling Xue said with certainty after looking around.
"Then where is it?
Is it in the sky? "Bing Cha looked up at the sky and blinked at the piercing sunlight.
Qin Yun pointed at the cliff at the bottom of the snowy peak and asked, "Could it be down there?"
Summer said, "We'll know if we go down and take a look."
"Who's going down?
If we jump down like this, we'll definitely die... "
Bing Cha looked at me and said with a smile, "Scholar, go and summon the fire dragon. Anyway, we're at the boss, so it's time to use the fire dragon skill."
"Mn!"
I nodded and activated my skill. Countless magic formations bloomed in front of me, and soon, a burning fire dragon broke through the air. It let out a cry and lowered its wings respectfully. I raised my sword and charged toward it.
"Fire dragon, let's go down!"
I gave the order, and the fire dragon spread its wings and rushed down the abyss!
The cold wind raged, and the bottom of the cliff seemed bottomless. After flying for about ten minutes, we still couldn't see the bottom. Ling Xue grew anxious and asked in the party channel, "Scholar, what's down there?"
"I haven't seen it yet. Don't worry."
"Oh..."
The moment I turned off the communicator, my eyes suddenly lit up. I saw blue ice swords protruding from the ground. The bottom of the abyss looked like a tomb of swords!
This was the true bottom of the abyss. It looked like a giant trench, and when I looked up, I could only see a thin crack in the sky. The bottom of the abyss was filled with sword-shaped icicles. I couldn't see anything else.
"Scholar, your coordinates aren't moving. Have you reached the bottom?" Qin Yun was very attentive and asked with a smile.
I nodded. "We've reached the end, but we haven't seen the boss yet. Should I go and pick you up?"
"Yes, come quickly!"
And so, I urged the Fire Dragon to fly up. Under my command, the Fire Dragon's tail rested on the edge of the cliff. The girls walked up one after another. Summer looked very cautious, as if she was afraid of falling.
A few minutes later, all nine girls in the party were standing on the fire dragon's back. This probably didn't count as a ride, but more like a delivery.
"A luxurious flight is indeed different …" Ling Xue patted Huo Long's back and said with a smile.
Bing Cha wrapped himself in his armor. "Yeah, it's not bad, but it's too cold."
Qin Yun asked, "Scholar, is there a boss down there?"
I shook my head, "I didn't see it just now. Let's go down and look for it together. Once we find it, we'll kill it and be done with it. I heard that the Temple of the Moon will launch an attack on Vietnam's An County tonight."
"Hmph, let them fight!"
"Yes."
It was at this moment the Fire Dragon let out a groan and landed on its feet. The girls jumped off its back one after another.
It was almost noon, and sunlight poured down from the top of the cliff and shone on the sword-shaped icicles on the side. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
"Hehe, it's so beautiful!"
Ling Xue walked up and put away her Snow Domain Blade. Then, she reached out and caressed the icicles.
I urged the Fire Dragon to patrol the bottom of the ice cave in an attempt to find the boss. We had been doing this quest for more than ten days, and it was about time for the final boss to appear.
It was at this moment Bing Cha said to Ling Xue, "Xiao Xue, let's cut down some icicles and put them in the King's City as decorations. Don't you think it'll be nice?"
"Yeah. Sister Bing Cha, are you going to do it?"
"Mn!"
Bing Cha unsheathed his sword, and the blue sea rippled with sharpness.
"Open!"
Iced Tea's sword slashed down heavily, landing on a cluster of icicles!
"Bang!"
The icicles scattered everywhere, but it only left a small hole. Bing Cha was a little suspicious. "OMG, seriously?
Even a divine weapon can't cut through it? "
The moment he said that, our surroundings suddenly shook like an earthquake!
Shocked, Ling Xue pulled Bing Cha and ran backward. She said in a panic, "Not good, it's an earthquake!"
"How could there be an earthquake at the bottom of the valley …" Ling Yue's face was full of wariness. She held her staff and said, "Retreat in shock. There's a situation!"
Boom boom boom!
The ground bulged, and the ice cracked open. A giant creature suddenly crawled out. It was a sky-blue beast with a dragon's head, but it had the body of a blue lizard!
"Roar roar roar!"
The entire ice cave buzzed. The gigantic beast opened its bloody mouth, and streams of icy air flowed around its body. It was obviously an ice-type monster. Moreover, it was probably the last boss of this quest!
The sword-shaped icicles that Ling Xue and Bing Cha were trying to take for themselves were the spikes on the back of the boss, just like the spikes on a stegosaurus.
"Scholar, check it!" Ling Yue shouted.
I immediately urged my fire dragon to get closer and threw Eye of the Star at it. The boss's stats appeared in the party channel —
[Giant Sky Ice Beast] (Epic Rank Boss)
Level: 255
Attack: 132000 ~ 155000
Defense: 100000
Health: 27000000
Skills:???
Introduction: A giant beast that lives in the abyss of ice, it possesses unparalleled strength. Legend has it that the Giant Sky Ice Beast was once the mount of the Ice Goddess. After the Ice Goddess died, this violent beast devoured a soul fragment of the Ice Goddess and became the lord of the depths of this snowy land...
"So it's the mount of the Ice Goddess. No wonder it has icicles on its back!" Ling Xue smiled. "Scholar, go!
Kill this Giant Sky Ice Beast, and I'll be the first sixth-promotion player! "
"Got it!"
I summoned Ling Er, and with a whistle, my fire dragon dove down. Moonlight Ice Blade exploded with a long beam of sword energy, and smashed into the giant beast's head!
"Bang!"
“93032！”
As expected of a Level 255 boss, its Defense is amazing!
I took out my Fire Dragon Bow, lowered its Defense, stunned it, and fired five consecutive shots!
The Giant Sky Ice Beast roared and was about to unleash its power, but my Dragon Bind had already landed!
“miss！”
No effect!
It's over!
The giant beast roared and raised its icy head. It puffed up its cheeks and opened its mouth, forming a sword-shaped icicle that whistled toward me!
"Bang!"
The fire dragon shuddered, and I felt a wave of pain. A damage number appeared above my head — 112439!
That hurts!
Ling Yue waved her scepter and cast a Fire Dragon Spell. At the same time, she shouted, "Everyone, help me! Scholar can't fight this alone!"
Chrysanthemum Daohana hurriedly tried to Seal it, but it still missed. It was very difficult to Seal a high-level Epic Rank boss like this.
Enraged, the Giant Sky Ice Beast opened its mouth and fired another sword-shaped icicle at Chrysanthemum Daohana. It was as fast as lightning, and Chrysanthemum Daohana didn't even have time to dodge!
“313748！”
One attack dealt over three hundred thousand damage. Chrysanthemum Daohana's Defense was a bit lacking, but she still had a sliver of health left. She hurriedly said, "Sister Qin Yun, don't heal me, heal Big Brother Scholar, hurry …"
At this time, Ling Xue flew over and slashed the Giant Sky Ice Beast's thigh with Snow Domain Blade!
Pfft!
A trace of frost flew up, but unfortunately, the damage of ice attacks against the Boss was very limited.
Ling Xue saw this and became angry. She pointed her sword at it and used Phoenix Dances at Nine Heavens!
Let's have a taste of fire!
The Giant Sky Ice Beast groaned in pain as the flames raged.
I hurriedly used the power of ice and fire to change my attack to fire. Then, I slashed down heavily. Divine Dragon Slash!
“252673！”
Not bad. My Defense was lowered, and my stats countered the Giant Sky Ice Beast's, so I had a lot of advantages. After all, 250000 damage was enough for me to recover over thirty thousand HP.
The Sky Ice Behemoth was clearly enraged. It raised its head to the sky and roared angrily, shaking the entire valley. Countless amounts of ice and snow energy accumulated. Very quickly, with a "cha cha cha" sound, many icicles suddenly protruded from the Sky Ice Behemoth's body, wrapping its entire body within.
Beep ~!
Combat Log: Giant Sky Ice Beast used skill [Frost Bone Spike]. Reflects all melee attacks and absorbs 15% of the damage taken as HP. Lasts 10 minutes!
… …
Bing Cha's sword hit the Giant Sky Ice Beast's thigh. The Jade Sea Sword glowed faintly and carried traces of lightning energy with it.
Clang!
The Frost Bone Spike flashed, and the Giant Sky Ice Beast's lightning energy bounced back. Bing Cha let out a painful groan and retreated. He was the one who took the hit.
“172636！”
The good news was that it wasn't a full damage reflection. If I didn't take into account Defense, Bing Cha would've been one-shot by his own attack!
I saw this and shouted, "Don't use melee skills! Ling Xue, use Profound Ice Sword Energy, Bing Cha, use Thunder Slash. Retreat after that!"
The two girls answered in unison. I held my sword in midair and took out my Fire Dragon Bow. Thunder Arrow!
"Pu!"
“152843！”
The Giant Sky Ice Beast let out a low roar and suddenly raised its head. Then, it stomped on the ground and poured countless amounts of ice and snow energy into the ground!
Ling Xue was shocked. "Sis, be careful! Blink!"
Ling Yue, Chrysanthemum Daohana, and Qin Yun were incredibly fast. By the time Ling Xue shouted, they were already far away.
Pu pu pu!
The ground cracked open, and an icicle burst out of the ground. It was a skill from the boss. Silent Rain, Zi Yue, Summer, and Snow Seeing Grass were hit at the same time. The icicle stabbed into the girls' thighs and caused them to bleed profusely. The four of them let out a muffled groan and were one-shot!
Swhoosh swhoosh!
Zi Yue and Snow Seeing Grass flew back to the city and dropped a bunch of potions.
Qin Yun said apologetically, "Sorry, I couldn't use Resurrection Prophecy. The cooldown is running out …"
In the party channel, Zi Yue said with a smile, "It's fine, Sister Qin Yun. We'll wait for you in the city and turn in the quest together!"
"Mn mn!"
Ling Xue said angrily, "Everyone, be careful of the boss's Ice Cone Thrust. It's too powerful, but the boss will adjust its position before using the skill. There's about two seconds of prelude, so if you can predict the direction, you'll be immune to the skill!"
"Mn, I know, I know. Kill it!"
As the Fire Dragon soared, I got close to the boss's head and slashed down. With a "pu" sound, Firmament's Strike came. It turned into a huge cyan sword that fell from the sky and stabbed into the back of the giant beast's carapace!
