God Dancer's HP was dropping lower and lower, and although the fight was a close one after another, it was still barely manageable. The warriors at the frontline were able to tank the damage, and if Murong Mingyue and the other priests didn't get one-shot soon, the battle would be over in less than three minutes thanks to Beiming Xue and the other girls.
However, the road to happiness was strewn with setbacks. Suddenly, a group of high-level elite players appeared in the distance, and they all wore the emblem of Warsky Alliance. Holy shit, Warsky Alliance finally smelled blood and wanted a slice of the pie?
Warsky was walking at the front, and CGL Hall of Famers like October Rain, Laughing At The Heavens, and Farewell Song were right behind him. There was also a group of super high-level Warsky Alliance players, and there were about 3000 of them. It looked like Warsky Alliance's surviving players were migrating east, and it was obvious that they were trying to kill this boss as soon as possible. Book buffs loved to read:!
… …
"OMG, Warsky is coming. What should we do?" Lin Yixin shot me a puzzled look before asking, "Should we send someone to intercept them?
Or else … "
I looked back at her and asked, "Can we make it in time?"
"It's too late …"
Snowy Cathaya and Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls' main forces were being intercepted by the Giant Ice Flame Beasts, and Warsky Alliance's players had clearly given up on killing the mobs. The Mad Lion Legion was responsible for the boss, and it looked like they didn't care about anything at all. Although it was a straightforward decision, it also meant that they were giving up on this wave of mobs' EXP. If they couldn't kill the boss, Warsky Alliance would suffer a huge loss.
Li Chengfeng gritted his teeth and said, "Fuck, we can't let Warsky Alliance get close to us! We need a plan!"
I nodded and said, "Gui Guzi, take the Fireblade Cavalry and intercept Warsky Alliance immediately! Hold them off for as long as you can! Activate Knight God and show them the power of our Fireblade Cavalry!"
Gui Guzi raised Rainbow and laughed. "Don't worry, Boss. I'm going!"
Gui Guzi barked out an order and led the thirty or so Fireblade Cavalry out of the encirclement. The Fireblade Cavalry had lost a lot of men in the battle just now, so they only had thirty-two men left. It would be a problem for them to form a proper formation, let alone stop Warsky Alliance's army of 3000. My order was basically a suicide mission for Gui Guzi and the Fireblade Cavalry, but I had no choice. As the commander of Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls, I had no choice but to abandon my own brothers and sisters.
Moreover, there was no one more suitable than Gui Guzi and the others to intercept them right now. The Fireblade Cavalry's equipment was pretty good, and they had the Knight God buff. Not only did they have high Movement Speed, but they could also attack and defend. If worse came to worst, they could even run for their lives.
Gui Guzi charged forward, and Laughing At The Heavens Alliance's experts met him head-on. October Rain stunned Gui Guzi with a Shock Arrow from afar, and Laughing At The Heavens activated Charge and arrived in front of Gui Guzi. He then swung his spear and used Icicle Thrust.
"Pu!"
The icicle pierced Gui Guzi's chest armor, but he only shuddered a little. A disdainful smile appeared on his face as a damage number of 1894 appeared above his head. Gui Guzi's Defense had increased by at least 100% thanks to the Knight God buff, so there was no way Laughing At The Heavens Alliance could deal a heavy blow to him.
Once the stun duration was over, Gui Guzi immediately launched a counterattack. His powerful Charge and Sudden Thrust forced Laughing At The Heavens to stumble backward. Rainbow abruptly pierced Laughing At The Heavens' chest and triggered a series of sudden thrusts. Not only did Gui Guzi hit Laughing At The Heavens, it also hit the two assassins behind him!
"Ahhh …"
The two assassins let out screams of pain as they collapsed to the ground. There was no way a leather-armored class could survive a 4-star Outstanding Rainbow's Outstanding property.
Warsky let out a roar and charged at Gui Guzi. He swung his sword several times in a row and landed a critical hit on Gui Guzi with Explosion Slash!
“4784！”
Even the strongest player couldn't withstand a critical hit. Gui Guzi's HP dropped to half in an instant, but he was still charging forward despite the arrows and spells raining down on him. At the same time, the Fireblade Cavalry was also charging toward him. Their spears and blades pierced through the enemy's body, and their swords cut down the frontline of Warsky Alliance's archers.
The two sides were locked in battle. Although Warsky Alliance had the numerical advantage, Gui Guzi's party was skilled, skilled, and had high HP and Defense. For a time, the three thousand Warsky Alliance players couldn't even get close to them!
It was at this moment Warsky looked into the distance and shouted, "Brothers and sisters, circle around their cavalry! Don't let Gui Guzi bait them! We'll win if we steal the boss! A few hundred people, stall their cavalry!"
As expected, October Rain and a group of archers and warriors circled around our cavalry and charged toward the Level 151 Earth Rank boss God Dancer. Warsky Alliance's target was too obvious!
October Rain was so fast that she reached He Yi in the blink of an eye. She stunned He Yi with a Shock Arrow from afar, but it wasn't a fatal hit.
… …
There was no stopping them at all. Almost a thousand Warsky Alliance players broke through Gui Guzi's defensive line and charged toward God Dancer under October Rain's leadership. God Dancer only had 5% HP left, and it looked like they were going to fight to the death.
It was at this moment God Dancer raised her jade flute again and bowed respectfully. My heart skipped a beat, and I shouted, "Brothers and sisters, retreat 50 yards and give the boss to Warsky Alliance!"
"What? Retreat?" Li Chengfeng exclaimed in shock.
"Don't question me! Listen to my command and retreat immediately!"
"Got it!"
At a time like this, a person's reputation was extremely important. As expected, the players of Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls swiftly retreated from God Dancer under my command. Even Lin Yixin was bringing up the rear on her Frostscythe Warhorse. When I looked up, I saw that the sky was filled with thick clouds. Soul Arrow Rain was about to descend upon us!
"Are we really giving up on the boss, Lu Chen?" He Yi asked in confusion.
I shook my head and smiled. "Just watch, everyone. Hmph hmph, God Dancer is currently in Purgatory Transformation, so her skills will definitely be stronger than before. Even the duration of her skills will be longer. If Warsky Alliance wants to steal the boss, then let them. However, we'll have to see if they have the appetite to do so!"
As expected, Warsky Alliance's players hadn't seen how powerful God Dancer's Famous General Skill was. In fact, they didn't even know how powerful it was. A group of players rushed toward God Dancer and surrounded her. Arrows and magic instantly rained down on her, but God Dancer didn't seem to care about these skills that weren't boosted by a powerful Famous General Skill. In fact, she didn't even lose much HP. Instead, the clouds in the sky began to churn as gigantic Soul Arrows appeared in the sky. Moreover, each arrow was surrounded by a fiery red cyclone. It was obvious that the Soul Arrows this time were completely different from the ones before.
Swhoosh swhoosh swhoosh...
Soul Arrow Rain rained down on Warsky Alliance like a cataclysm. Within a range of 100 to 100 yards, a large group of Warsky Alliance players didn't even have time to dodge. The Soul Arrow Rain slammed into their bodies and dealt over twenty thousand damage. In the blink of an eye, the archers, mages, and magic knights in the back row were all one-shot by the Soul Arrow Rain. They didn't even have the slightest chance to resist.
October Rain raised her longbow and swiftly retreated as she stared at the Soul Arrow Rain falling toward her. Her beautiful face was filled with confusion as she exclaimed, "Holy shit!
I actually fell for that bastard Lu Chen's trap! What a cunning bastard … "
… …
Pfft!
“26749！”
October Rain had fallen. Even a CGL Hall of Famer like her couldn't withstand a Soul Arrow Storm. From this alone, one could tell just how powerful God Dancer's skills were. It was no wonder that she was able to inflict so much pain on us even with Bombshell's buffs.
A few seconds later, the area around God Dancer had become a true vacuum. The corpses of Warsky Alliance's players littered the ground, and they had even dropped a lot of equipment. In just a few seconds, Warsky Alliance had suffered heavy losses. Over a thousand of their elite players had been annihilated in a single day.
The Soul Arrow Rain continued to fall, and almost a hundred Warsky Alliance players who tried to get close to God Dancer were one-shot yet again. This time, no one dared to get close to God Dancer anymore. They could only watch from afar.
On the other side of the battlefield, Gui Guzi and his Fireblade Cavalry were still fighting fiercely. However, they had lost more than half of their troops, and only Gui Guzi and a few others were still alive. Warsky Alliance's attacks were just too fierce, and Farewell Song's stealthy assassin was especially sharp. Every time Farewell Song attacked, he would be able to one-shot a Fireblade Cavalry with the help of his teammates. Although the Fireblade Cavalry had Knight God's 100% Defense boost, Farewell Song's ultimate skills basically ignored Defense.
It was at this moment the pressure on Snowy Cathaya's side lessened slightly. Purple Marquis immediately led several hundred Snowy Cathaya elites and charged into Warsky Alliance's ranks from the flank. Purple Marquis laughed loudly and said, "Quick! Let's kill these bastards and save Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls' ally!
… …
Snowy Cathaya's charge immediately increased the pressure on Warsky Alliance's side. Gui Guzi was panting heavily as he ran back to us with Rainbow. "Fuck, I was almost killed …"
I was a little speechless. Li Chengfeng waved his hand and said with a smile, "Guild leader, I'm going to help Purple Marquis. I'll leave the boss to you guys!"
"Go!"
Li Chengfeng had learned a Famous General Skill, so he didn't care about the boss at all. He was a very dedicated person. Honestly, I wanted to PvP God Dancer as well, but I needed both Attack and Defense to kill a boss!
It wasn't long before God Dancer's Soul Arrows finally ran out. It had lasted for almost 5 minutes, and it was amazing. Thank goodness our brothers from Warsky Alliance had blocked the bullet holes for us, or we would've lost a lot of people this time.
"Let's go and kill the boss. She doesn't have much HP left …"
He Yi, Gui Guzi, Lin Yixin, and I activated Charge at the same time. God Dancer had recovered some HP to about 3%, so we should be able to finish the boss in no time!
I sent Li Chengfeng a message: "Keep Farewell Song busy! Don't let him steal the boss!"
"Okay, I'll try my best to kill him!"
"Good luck!"
… …
A while later, God Dancer's HP dropped to 1%. I urged her, "Yiyi, hurry up and use Extreme Break …"
Lin Yixin whimpered and stared at me resentfully. "You bastard, you're only thinking about stealing the boss with Burning Blade Slash …"
