VRMMO The Unrivaled - Chapter681

I was in a good mood today, so I didn't want to PvP. I definitely didn't want to PvP with a player of this caliber. Even if I killed him, it would be a huge loss of points.

I immediately revealed my game ID, Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand. My Earthfire Realm name floated in the air as the Soul Suppressing Cloak fluttered behind me. I pointed the tip of the Cyan Netherworld Sword at the magic knight and asked, "What do you think? Can I still pass through this place?"

The magic knight hummed in acknowledgment and immediately calmed down. Beside me, the Mad Dragon players had been ready to fight, but when they saw this, they immediately gave up on the idea of fighting me head-on. Even if there were a hundred of them, they still weren't a match for me. There was a fundamental difference between a fifth-promotion player and an Earthfire Realm player, not to mention that the enemy was me.

An archer raised his bow and said, "Forget it, Second Old!

The guild leader told us to focus on grinding and not PvP. It's a waste of time. "The magic knight was speechless.

He cupped his fists at me and said, "See you, Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand!"

I gave him a polite smile and cupped my fists as well. "Goodbye!"

The Armored Ice Qilin Horse neighed and charged toward the mountain peak with the Phantom Wolf King on its back. Damn, there's more to life than fighting and killing. Being a polite child is also a good thing.

… …

It wasn't long before snowflakes began to fall from the sky. It was normal for mountains to be covered in snow all year round.

I circled around a group of Level 160 ancient mobs, but I was already Level 153. If I wanted to level up, I would have to kill mobs 20 levels higher than me, meaning that they were Level 173 and above. Unfortunately, it seemed that Dragonbone Mountain Range couldn't satisfy my leveling needs anymore. I needed to find a new leveling spot.

Not far ahead, there was a towering mountain towering in front of them. The mountain was tall and straight like a dragon's neck, winding its way up into the sky and disappearing into the black clouds. This dangerous mountain was mostly covered in frost and snow, but one could still see the shadows of some pine trees growing between the rocks.

The Divine Dayflower grew on extremely cold glacial rocks, so it was very likely that it would grow on this mountain. If it didn't grow here, then it was difficult to imagine where else in Sky City could grow it.

The Armored Ice Qilin Horse's galloping speed was slightly affected by the snow, and the sound of its hooves against the snow was incredibly pleasant to the ears. When I reached the foot of the mountain, I received a message: System Notice: You have entered a neutral map, [Ice Dragon Ridge]. Everyone else, please read as normal:!

…

Looking up, there was an endless vanguard that shot straight up into the sky. Fuck, no one knew what was up there. The entire mountain looked like a colossal object that stretched into the galaxy. The mountain was so huge that it looked like a swimming dragon. This was indeed a natural scenery that could seize the heavens and earth.

At the bottom of the Ice Dragon Ridge, an obscure mountain path appeared in front of me. I spurred the Armored Ice Qilin Horse forward without any hesitation. It was a winding mountain path, and there were many broken sections along the way. It was a very scary sight to behold. The Armored Ice Qilin Horse leaped up and down the mountain. It seemed to be so nervous that its legs had turned to jelly.

The Phantom Wolf King, on the other hand, was much more straightforward. It stuck its claws into the crevices of the rocks to prevent itself from falling off the cliff.

All of a sudden, a fierce roar came from the ice path in front of them, and a gigantic creature rushed over. It was an ice monster that looked like a cross between a wild bear and a berserk lion. It raised its sharp claws and slammed them into the Phantom Wolf King's head, sending shards of ice flying everywhere. The wolf cub howled in pain — 17822!

Damn, what a powerful attack. What is this thing?

I focused my eyes and activated Dark Pupils. The monster's stats appeared in front of me — [Frozen Hunter] (Ancient) Level: 175 Attack: 2850 ~ 3580 Defense: 3250 HP: 280000 Skills: [Rend], [Freezing Strike], [Beast Frenzy] Introduction: The guardians of Ice Dragon Ridge. These Frozen Hunters used to be gigantic beasts, but they fell under the temptation of evil and became terrifying beasts. They have protected Ice Dragon Ridge for millions of years, and countless human warriors have fallen to their claws...

Alright, a Level 175 ancient mob is worth killing!

I attacked from the back and activated Thunderous Charge, stunning the Hunter in an instant. Then, I swung my Cyan Netherworld Sword and unleashed a mighty Burning Blade Slash. Clang clang clang! Three flaming sword beams slammed into the Hunter's frost-covered carapace and sliced into the layer of ice. Although this Level 175 mob had 3250 Defense, that little bit of Defense was nothing in the face of my Attack power. Burning Blade Slash dealt three shocking damage numbers — "18298. Fans of the book like to read:!"

“25722!”

“67124!”

Very good, the last hit was a critical hit. Just like that, I deleted over 100k HP from the Frozen Hunter and deleted over a third of its HP in an instant. Burning Blade Slash truly lived up to its name as my strongest instant-kill skill. I followed it up with War Crush and dropped the Level 175 mob's HP to half.

The Phantom Wolf King roared and swung its claws wildly. At the same time, its HP was recovering rapidly. The Phantom Wolf King was an Immortal Rank pet, so its recovery speed was incredible. It was far superior to an ancient mob like the Frozen Hunter.

In less than half a minute, two rounds of skills later, the Frozen Hunter collapsed to the ground and my experience bar visibly moved up. Tsk tsk, this monster sure gave a lot of experience. It would be great if I could lure a group of them to kill me. Basically, I just needed 10% lifesteal, Tenacity of the Dead, Regeneration of the Undead, Rank 9 Saint Spirit Potion, and a good choke point to survive the AoE combo.

"Pa da!"

The Frozen Hunter dropped a card when it collapsed to the ground. I picked it up and took a look. It wasn't bad — [Frozen Hunter] Card: Increases user's ice attack power by 75%. Lasts for 120 minutes.

Tsk tsk, what a powerful buff! A 75% increase in ice attack power? Mages who specialized in ice skills would be overjoyed. For example, the super mage from Hall of Immortality, Galaxy Breaker Mage, had an AoE skill called Icicle Flurry. If I had the Frozen Hunter Card, my ice attack power would be increased by 75%. If I were to unleash an icicle in a crowd or a group of mobs, it would be absolutely OP. Even Famous Generals like Li Chengfeng and Gui Guzi would have a hard time tanking the icicle rain.

I stuffed the card into my bag and put it away for now. I had spent some gold to expand my personal warehouse, so it had more than ten thousand slots. I could toss anything I wanted into it. The good thing about a warehouse was that it wouldn't drop. Even if I were killed back to Level 0, the items in my warehouse wouldn't change.

I continued forward, and less than half a minute later, another Frozen Hunter appeared. This time, there were two of them, and they attacked me from the left and right. Freezing Strike hit my Crimson Rock Dragon Armor repeatedly!

Thud thud!

“11932!”

“12848!”

Even with my high Defense, I was still beaten to a pulp by these two Frozen Hunters. Any other warrior or magic knight would've been dead by now.

I swung my sword horizontally and separated the two mobs. The Phantom Wolf King and I took down one each, and I consciously adjusted our angles as I swung Burning Blade Slash. My AoE skills had to cover both mobs, or my DPS would be greatly reduced. How long would I have to wait until I reached the upper level of Ice Dragon Ridge?

This Ice Dragon Ridge had never been discovered before, and there was no information about this place on the forums. It looked like there was something fishy going on here. Whether it was for a high-level boss or for my Divine Dayflower, I had to come to this place!

The Ice Dragon Ridge gradually grew steeper and steeper, and even the path was about to disappear from view. The Armored Ice Qilin Horse was relying entirely on its own strength to create new footholds, crushing the rocks and snow beneath its hooves. Tsk tsk, this high-rank mount is amazing. Its survivability and defense are both outstanding. I love Beiming to death. If she hadn't traded her top-tier wristguards for this pet egg, the Armored Ice Qilin Horse would've become Candlelight Shadow's or even Warsky's mount by now. That would've been a huge disadvantage for Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls.

An hour or so later, we had killed countless Frozen Hunters and collected a dozen or so Ice Attribute Cards. These Ice Attribute Attack + 75% were amazing, and I was sure that they would come in handy in the future.

The Armored Ice Qilin Horse abruptly stopped in its tracks and stared at me with wide eyes. I stared back at it for a moment before looking to the front. Then, I realized what was going on. Almost all of the mountains up ahead had slopes that were at least 45 degrees. Even though the Armored Ice Qilin Horse was an Earth Rank mount, it was still a ground warhorse. There was no way it could continue. Everyone else was just reading the book.

I dismounted and patted the Armored Ice Qilin Horse's head with the Cyan Netherworld Sword in hand. "Alright, Armored Ice Qilin Horse, your quest is complete. Return to your pet space and I'll take care of the rest!"

Before I could finish my sentence, the Armored Ice Qilin Horse let out a neigh and actually transformed into a streak of white light as it dashed back into my pet space. Tsk tsk, high-rank pets really do have pretty good intelligence. They could understand my words and knew that they had entered my pet space on their own.

Behind me, the Phantom Wolf King was wagging its tail as it stared at me with passionate eyes. It was clear that it was still willing to follow me to the next part of the journey. This was definitely the result of Dada's loyal soul. If it was the original little wolf, it would have run back to Sky City with its tail between its legs a long time ago. One mishap and we'd be dead. Whoever wanted to go could go.

… …

Chiang!

I took out another longsword from my bag and unsheathed it. It was the Hunter's Blade, a Level 150 2-star Outstanding Dark Gold – grade equipment that had dropped earlier. It was just the right weapon to use.

I stabbed the Cyan Netherworld Sword into the rock face and used it as a dual-wielding strategy. Using one sword in each hand and the other in each hand to climb up the cliff was impossible and unreliable.

The little wolf followed behind me and dug its sharp claws into the rock face. Damn, this guy is awesome! An Immortal Rank pet really is different! It can climb up a cliff like this as if it's flat ground!

Chiang chiang chiang...

Sparks flew off of my swords as I climbed up the cliff step by step. After climbing for almost ten minutes, I looked up and saw that the cliff was almost at a 90 degree angle!

However, my eyes lit up at the sight of it.

An exquisite, turquoise grass grew between the rocks and swayed slightly in the cold wind. Fuck, it's the Divine Dayflower!
