Beiming Xue, Moonlight Stone, Stranger of Three Lifetimes, and the rest of you will attack the Northern Alliance's cavalry from the center of the canyon. Everyone else will watch as normal as they can.
The sounds of fighting resounded throughout the valley. The effect of luring the enemy into the trap was surprisingly good.
The encirclement lasted for less than twenty minutes, and Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls' offensive power was truly eye-opening. Almost 90,000 Northern Alliance cavalrymen were killed inside the encirclement's formation one after another.
Looking ahead, there were still close to 100 people who were still resisting to the death. One of them had a Heroic Bannerman on his back. There was actually another Heroic Bannerman in this group of people, and this person was most likely the leader of a large alliance in Seven Star City. Seeing the elite cavalry under his command being slaughtered, his eyes turned bloodshot, and he charged around like a trapped beast.
… …
"Leave this to me!"
Li Chengfeng bellowed and charged forward like a bolt of lightning.
"Hmph, a dragon warrior!?"
The enemy immediately saw Li Chengfeng's class title and charged toward him. He had less than 50% HP and was covered in wounds, but Li Chengfeng wasn't a pedantic person. He would kill whoever he could, no matter how much HP they had.
"Come at me! Show me what you've got!"
Heroic Banner trembled behind the magic knight as he swung his sword and used Barrier Break to meet Li Chengfeng's attack.
"Heh …"
A trace of a smile appeared on Li Chengfeng's lips. Suddenly, he did something shocking. He leaped off the back of the Dragonlight Armored Horse and parried the enemy's Barrier Break. Then, he spun around in midair and executed a combo of Barrier Break + Dragonbone Flurry combo with his Ghastly Wind Blade. All four attacks landed on the back of the enemy's head. That was clearly a weak spot.
"Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam.
A damage number flew above his head, and a system announcement started ringing — Ding ~!
System Announcement: All players, please be informed that Heroic Bannerman "Mountain Walker" (USA) has been killed by player "Legendary Brave" (China)!
… …
High Fighting Spirits laughed when he saw this. He raised his Dragonlight Shatter and said, "Well done, Li! I can't believe that even a Heroic Bannerman couldn't dodge your attack!" High Fighting Spirits laughed loudly.
Chaos Moon was speechless. "Idiot, what's a vaulting technique?
That's called Man and Horse Separation. It's a high level technique for mounted combat. You might not even be able to learn it in your entire life … "
High Fighting Spirits grinned. "I only know how to use force!"
Chaos Moon was completely speechless.
It was at this moment that the last group of knights had fallen. I immediately pointed my sword at the entrance of the canyon and shouted, "Mages, archers, priests, go and reinforce the Cyan Tiger Cavalry! Dragonlight Cavalry, retreat and prepare to be summoned again! Someone, report the losses to me!"
Chaos Moon smiled. "The Dragonlight Cavalry is unscathed, the Cyan Tiger Cavalry lost over a thousand players, and the rest of the classes lost over 3000 players. We managed to wipe out 90k enemy cavalrymen. All in all, it's a resounding victory!"
"Yup, let's regroup and add the Cyan Tiger Cavalry to the frontlines!"
"Got it!"
A group of Famous Generals rushed to the frontlines and buffed the Cyan Tiger Cavalrymen with our stratagems. Even Lu Buyi appeared at the frontlines. His stratagem, Purple Dragon, increased all stats by 95%. It was even more powerful than Lin Yixin's Bombshell. However, Lu Buyi told us that the effect of the stratagem had already been revealed. At most, Purple Dragon could increase all stats by 100%. Even so, it was still quite heaven-defying. If 200 Cyan Tiger Cavalrymen were to attack that area and use Purple Dragon, no one would be able to do anything to them.
… …
I rode to the frontlines and was greeted by a Burning Blade Slash.
Surprisingly, only a third of the canyon was occupied by the battle. Candle Dragon and Purple Lily hadn't engaged the Northern Alliance in the other two areas because Warsky Alliance was slightly stronger than Blazing Hot Lips. Finally, a few players had retreated from the canyon in defeat. That was why Candle Dragon and Purple Lily hadn't engaged the Northern Alliance yet.
"What's going on?"
Li Chengfeng frowned as he sliced apart a magic knight's shield with his sword. Then, he looked to the right and said, "Warsky Alliance still hasn't retreated yet. Has Warsky lost his mind and decided to sacrifice his entire guild for the sake of his own country?"
"I don't know …" I replied indifferently.
… …
"Ahhh …"
Suddenly, two assassins were thrown out of the canyon. They were both Warsky Alliance players, and their bodies were riddled with arrows. They were dead before they even hit the ground.
Then, six Northern Alliance archers charged out of the canyon. They turned around to shoot arrows as they ran, but a warrior on a warhorse caught up to them and cut them down with a couple of slashes. This warrior was none other than Warsky, who had activated Tyrannical Blitz. His Attack was steadily increasing, and he was now able to ignore the Defense and HP of these archers.
Finally, Warsky Alliance's players appeared in the canyon!
Thud thud thud...
October Rain didn't forget to turn around and shoot arrows as she ran. Her bowstring twanged as she killed the players chasing after her.
"Warsky Alliance has retreated!"
Moonkiss walked to the front of the crowd and shouted, "Warsky, how many people do you have left? How long will it take for all of you to retreat?"
Warsky turned his horse around and shouted, "We still have around sixty thousand players left. The main guild is relatively intact, but we've lost too many people to count. Moonkiss, tell our brothers from Purple Lily to reinforce us. Warsky Alliance has suffered a terrible loss this time …"
"Got it!"
Countless Warsky Alliance players swarmed out of the canyon, but every single one of them looked disheveled. Their armors were damaged, their weapons were chipped, and their bodies were covered in blood. Most of them were riders with high Defense and fast reflexes, so they were the lucky survivors of the fierce battle.
The Northern Alliance players were hot on their heels as they retreated into Dawn Valley. Battle cries filled the air as the Northern Alliance chased after them!
… …
A commotion broke out among Candle Dragon's players. Suddenly, a warrior pointed his sword to the front and shouted, "Not good! The number one expert of Hero City, Vienna's Sorrow, is here, and he's bringing a lot of people with him!
They're clearly using Warsky Alliance as bait to lure us into opening the gate to Dawn Valley! "
Tempest Shadow immediately spurred his mount forward and shouted, "We cannot let the Northern Alliance's evil scheme succeed! We cannot allow the Northern Alliance's Northern Gate to open just like that!"
A sharp glint flashed across Candlelight Shadow's eyes as he ordered in a low voice, "Move the defense line forward and stop 20 yards from the entrance. Arrows and magic, we need to stop the Northern Alliance's advance!"
"Yes!"
A group of Candle Dragon magic knights spurred their mounts forward and raised their shields. They arrived at the entrance of the canyon and sealed it. Clang clang clang clang! Their giant shields fell to the ground and sealed off all paths of retreat!
… …
Warsky's eyes instantly turned red as he pointed his sword at Candle Dragon and swore, "What the hell is the meaning of this, Candlelight Shadow? Are you trying to seal off our retreat path? Are you trying to use Warsky Alliance's players as your shield?" "What the hell?
Candlelight Shadow's eyes darkened as he shouted, "For the greater good, Warsky, you need to know what's right and what's wrong! The moment we open a gap in the enemy's territory, the Northern Alliance will seize the opportunity to invade the south! Warsky Alliance can fight alongside us, and I'll supply you with supplies!"
Warsky's eyes turned bloodshot. "Supply my ass!
My brothers are exhausted, and they're almost out of potions. Their equipment's durability is less than 20%, and you're talking to me about supplies? How are you going to do that?
The enemy will reach us in the blink of an eye! Won't my brothers become prey to their blades? "
Candlelight Shadow snorted but didn't say anything.
Tempest Shadow raised his spear and said, "Let's focus on the greater good. Candle Dragon's only goal is to defend the pass to the death, so don't blame us for our loyalty!"
… …
It didn't take long for Warsky Alliance's defeated army to return, but they were blocked by Candle Dragon.
Laughing At The Heavens spurred his mount and retreated with a group of magic knights. They crashed into Candle Dragon's shield formation and were knocked back again and again. Every single one of them stared at Candle Dragon in disbelief.
Behind them, the Northern Alliance's army had arrived. Vienna's Sorrow swung his sword and cut down the players behind Warsky Alliance. Hundreds of thousands of cavalrymen charged and crushed the last of Warsky Alliance's strength.
Lin Bing Dou Zhe raised his sword and shouted, "Brothers, follow me and stop them again! Charge!"
Without hesitation, the vice leader of Warsky Alliance launched a counterattack and killed many Northern Alliance players in a row. However, he was soon attacked by two enemy Heroic Bannermen. One of them was an archer, the other a mage. Lin Bing Dou Zhe's Fire Dragon and Freezing Arrow hit him squarely in the chest!
Bang bang bang!
Blood splattered everywhere as Lin Bing Dou Zhe retreated uncontrollably. Caught off guard, a magic knight charged toward him and slashed his sword across his neck. Lin Bing Dou Zhe slowly fell from his horse. He was killed just like that. Lin Bing Dou Zhe was killed just like that.
Hundred Battler led a group of low-health magic knights to counterattack, but they were trampled into meat paste by the enemy cavalry!
Laughing At The Heavens let out a roar to express his unwillingness to accept his defeat.
Clang clang clang!
Vienna's Sorrow's powerful attack tore through Laughing At The Heavens' Defense three times in a row. At the same time, a dozen or so Northern Alliance cavalrymen activated Barrier Break at the same time!
Thud thud thud thud...
A dozen or so beams of light landed on Laughing At The Heavens and tore him to shreds!
… …
"God dammit …"
Warsky fell to his knees as tears streamed down his face. "My brothers are being killed like animals, but I … I …"
Screams of pain filled the air as the slaughter continued. However, Candle Dragon's shield formation remained unmoved.
… …
Li Chengfeng clenched his fists so tightly that his veins popped. "Animals!!"
Xu Yang's eyes were red with hatred, and Gui Guzi was shaking all over.
I pulled out my sword and shouted, "Dragonlight Cavalry, follow me! We're going to f * ck Candlelight Shadow's mother!"
PS: On behalf of Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls, Snowy Cathaya, Blazing Hot Lips, Warsky Alliance, Candle Dragon and all the other guilds, I wish everyone good progress in their studies, happy work, and a good mood every day.
