"Big bro, what do you think will happen to us if we get sucked into the whirlpool?"
Beiming Xue hugged my arm tightly as she stared at the deep blue whirlpool in front of us nervously. The wind was so strong that it was tugging at the sails in an attempt to pull us toward the center of the funnel-shaped whirlpool.
"Retract the sails!"
I ordered before giving Beiming Xue's slightly cold hand a squeeze. "It's fine. We'll respawn in the blink of an eye and return to Dark Moon City."
"Ah …" Beiming Xue's mouth fell open, but she still looked very scared.
… …
He Yi turned around to check the situation behind us. A beautiful smile appeared on her face as she said, "Hehe, the Northern Alliance has taken the bait. We've blocked their vision, so they can't see what's in front of them. The centripetal force is more than enough to drag them into the depths of the whirlpool."
Beside her, Lin Yixin's Dragon God Warship also retracted its sails.
Both warships sped up at the same time. It wasn't because we ordered them to, but because they were being pulled toward the center of the whirlpool!
"Everyone, hold on tight!"
I ordered loudly as I dismounted and grabbed the railing of the ship. Beiming Xue and He Yi steadied themselves on the left and right sides of the ship. Everyone was nervous and excited at the same time. Everyone else was just watching like normal.
… …
Behind us, we heard cries of shock from the warships. "Ah!
What's going on? Why are we losing control of our engines?
What the fuck is going on? "
"Boss, this is bad! There's a giant whirlpool in front of us! Those despicable China bastards have lured us into the disaster zone!"
"Fuck, we're screwed!"
… …
Behind us, the 50 + Dragon God Warships turned around and begged the NPC sailors to paddle as fast as they could. Unfortunately, it was already too late. The warships were still being pulled toward the center of the whirlpool.
At the same time, our two ships began to spin at high speed. A violent wind blew and bolts of lightning fell from the sky. When I looked down, I saw a pitch-black funnel-shaped abyss. It was so deep that I couldn't see the bottom. It was a terrifying sight. Fuck, if we were to be sucked down there, the entire ship would be torn apart!
As the warships spun faster and faster, a couple of Dragonlight Cavalrymen screamed, "Fuck, I'm seasick …"
I couldn't help but laugh. "Endure it, it'll be over soon!"
"Boss, do you mean all of us die together?!"
"How is that possible? When did I lead my brother to a dead end?
Everyone, please have faith in Guild Leader Eve. If she says she can save us, then she can! "
"Guild leader Eve is wise!
You must be wise, or else everyone will die … "
…
Looking at the huge whirlpool, He Yi raised her head and tried to determine the direction. Suddenly, she opened her beautiful eyes and shouted, "Raise the sails and turn the rudder 45 degrees. Sailors, paddle with all your might. Quick, we only have 10 seconds. Everyone else, watch as normal:!"
The NPCs on the warships immediately got busy, and Lin Yixin, who was on the Dragon God Warship, was issuing the exact same order. The two girls had come to the same conclusion.
"Whoosh!"
The sails of the ship were unfurled, and with a "boom", they were filled with the strong winds. The rudder turned, and the entire warship abruptly changed direction, following the direction of the huge whirlpool at an oblique angle. The speed of the whirlpool was like a storm, and it was as if the warship was flying.
"Ahhhhhh …"
The players on the warship squealed like pigs being slaughtered. Almost all of us were floating in the air, and the wind was carrying the warship swiftly across the surface of the whirlpool.
Behind us, we heard a cacophony of snaps. The masts of three Dragon God Warships had been snapped. Even a Dragon God Warship could be destroyed easily if it wasn't properly controlled.
Amidst screams, countless Korean players fell into the bottomless whirlpool. Most likely, they were already dead. After entering the whirlpool, everyone entered a combat state. Return Scrolls couldn't be used. If they wanted to escape, they would have to use Invulnerability Return Scrolls. Unfortunately, the Invulnerability Attribute was simply too precious. Very few players possessed the Invulnerability effect.
… …
Swhoosh!
The wind picked up, and the warship abruptly floated out of the whirlpool. It was almost as if it had been flung out of the water, and it hit the surface of the water with a thud.
He Yi ordered, "Lower the sails and paddle with all your might! We'll use the inertia to get out of the whirlpool!"
Beside her, Lin Yixin's warship had caught up to us and was paddling with all its might as well.
… …
Looking back, the 50 + Korean battleships behind them were in a mess. The battleships collided with each other and were swept into the turbulent sea. Their hulls were torn apart, and their screams echoed in the wind. It was like a calamity at sea. No one had expected such an outcome.
A few minutes later, the battleships left the area of the vortex completely. Immediately, the players on both battleships raised their arms in the air. The excitement of escaping death was palpable as they cheered at the top of their lungs. In this battle, they had used the vortex to destroy more than 50 of the enemy's terrifying battleships with very little damage. It could be said to be an earth-shattering battle!
"Look! Two Dragon God Warships have escaped from the whirlpool! They're on the right!" Beiming Xue said while pointing.
I immediately shouted, "Yiyi, let's take one each. Let's go!"
Lin Yixin unsheathed her sword and said, "Let's go! Let's get closer! We don't need to be afraid of them if we fight them one-on-one!"
… …
Everyone laughed as our warships flew toward the enemy's warships. The enemy's warships seemed to have sensed the impending danger, and the furious Korean players unsheathed their weapons. One of them stood at the bow and shouted, "Brothers, let's kill these despicable bastards and avenge our fallen comrades!"
The four warships nearly collided with each other. Both sides were furious.
I summoned the Armored Ice Qilin Horse and jumped onto its back. Just like before, I leaped over the bow and landed on the enemy's deck. Then, I fired War Crush and four more Seals into a crowd of Korean players. The Korean players were utterly helpless against a Divine General Skill like Great Earth Transformation and Divine General Skill.
"Fire!"
At Beiming Xue's command, arrows rained down from the sky and killed a bunch of enemy archers. Then, the Dragonlight Cavalrymen behind me jumped onto the ship and used Hoof Trample to wreak havoc on the walls of the Dragon God Warship. It was a pure, unadulterated assault.
This time, we didn't destroy the ship. Instead, we killed every last one thousand players on the warship. Then, the Dragonlight Cavalrymen cleaned up the battlefield and took all the equipment, potions and other supplies onto the ship. Motherfucker, this was the only downside of naval warfare. A lot of the loot dropped during the previous battles had fallen into the deep sea and couldn't be picked up. As a result, we didn't even have the desire to kill the enemy. The rest of the readers were just watching it like normal.
… …
On the other side, Snowy Cathaya's players had wiped out another Korean warship under Lin Yixin's command. Satisfied with their victory, we destroyed two ships and returned to the warship.
I brought up the world map and saw that the battle had already begun. About 2000 yards in front of us, there was an intense skirmish going on on the surface of the sea. A sea of orange dots and a sea of red dots were clashing with each other, and the sounds of battle shook the heavens. Both sides were charging each other's ships and engaging in melee combat!
Meanwhile, Li Chengfeng was slaughtering his way through a Dragon God Warship, unleashing Dragonbone Flurry, Cyan Dragon Horn Slash, Reverse Scale Slash, and more. The Korean players were scared witless by Li Chengfeng's Divine General Skill. Battle Soul Possession boosted his Attack, Defense, and HP significantly, and he could reflect damage as well. He was like a war fortress, and wherever he went, he would be left barren.
Gui Guzi was also thrusting his spear into a crowd of Korean players and dropping them into the water one after another. There was no way they could put up a fight.
The Famous Generals of Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls had completely dominated the battlefield. They swept through the enemy ship like locusts, cutting down the players on the enemy ship before moving on to the next one.
In the distance, Blazing Hot Lips was bombarding the surface of the sea with Ice Blast. It was Stranger of Three Lifetimes' unique skill, and to everyone's surprise, the Ice Blast was able to freeze a small part of the sea. The Northern Alliance's ships were completely frozen in the sea, and they couldn't move at all. Naturally, they became the target of Blazing Hot Lips' Galaxy Storms.
Baidicheng's female knight, Come See The Snow Tonight, was riding a blood-colored warhorse and leaping back and forth between the enemy's ships. She activated her Famous General Skill and led a hundred riders to charge through the enemy's ships as if there was no one there. Her ships were connected by iron chains, and it was as if they were running on flat ground. Baidicheng's riders were wreaking havoc in the crowd, and the Northern Alliance suffered heavy losses.
… …
"Iron Chain Link?"
I curled my lips. "Come on, Come See The Snow is really something. Isn't she afraid that the Northern Alliance will use some kind of fire attack and burn her to ashes …"
He Yi giggled. "I'm not afraid of that. A mage's Ice Soul Spell is definitely more effective than a fire extinguisher. This is the difference between a game and reality. Everyone else, don't worry."
"Mn, let's keep attacking!"
"Mn!"
The two Dragon God Warships charged forward and broke apart the enemy's formation in an instant. Beiming Xue, Moonlight Stone and the rest of our ranged players were slaughtering the enemy ships until they were crying for their mommy and daddy. In fact, He Yi and I didn't even need to get off the ship. We could just use Purgatory of Ice and Magma and Burning Blade Slash to kill a whole bunch of them.
The sky was clear, but the surface of the sea was dyed red with blood. Countless players had fallen into the water, but the bloodthirsty creatures of the sea had taken advantage of the situation. Countless unknown fish had appeared in the sea and were tearing at the players who had fallen into the water. The Deep Sea was a high-level leveling map to begin with, so it was only natural that the natives would object to our actions.
The battle was a bit of a stalemate, but China's victory was due to our superior combat strength. Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls, Snowy Cathaya, The Monarch Descends, Blazing Hot Lips and Baidicheng were all super guilds of the China server, so their players were more cohesive and coordinated with each other.
On the other hand, the Northern Alliance's armies were composed of Korea's Burning City, Vietnam's Hot Sand City and Germany's Chariot City. They looked united on the surface, but they were actually divided at heart. They fought on their own, and after four hours of intense fighting, Korea's forces began to fall apart. If they didn't have enough people, they would've been defeated by us a long time ago.
… …
"Crack!"
A bolt of lightning suddenly struck the surface of the sea, and the sky turned dark.
