It was at this moment a group of people walked up to us from behind. The one leading the group was none other than Hot and Sour Noodles. He wielded a sharp blade and asked with a smile, "Lu Chen, are we going to break through their defense line now?"
"Mn. Everyone else, just read it as usual."
I nodded and said, "I've received word from Cute Little Naughty that our assassin party has snuck into White Horse City and is planning to attack them within an hour. Right now, we're going to attack their defense line and distract them for a bit. Once we break through their defense line, we'll be able to enter White Horse Plains. Hmph hmph, we're done!"
Hot and Sour Noodles couldn't help but smile. "Alright, I'll leave the 10000 Greedy Wolf Cavalrymen to you as my support!"
"Thank you, uncle. Fans like to read:!" I thought for a moment before adding, "Oh right, there's one more thing."
"What is it?"
"It's about Lian Xin."
"Oh, that Phantasm of Stars …" Hot and Sour Noodles looked at Lian Xin for a moment before sighing. "She's a very strong mage, and her class advantage is huge. Her overall strength is no weaker than Luo River God of the Capital or Stranger of Three Lifetimes. First of all, I have to congratulate Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls. I didn't think one of the Four Founders of Sun, Moon, Star, and Dust would be such a powerful class!"
I smiled. "That's for later. Right now, Lian Xin wants to transfer her account back to China, but she was rejected by Eternal Moon USA's headquarters. Can you use the CGL's influence to appeal to them? If they can transfer Lian Xin's nationality, the China server will have one super powerful mage."
Zhang Chun nodded heavily before saying, "Leave it to me. I may not be able to help you with anything else, but I'll make sure that Lian Xin's account transfer is done properly!"
"Alright, thank you, uncle. Now, let's attack!"
"Mn. Go!"
… …
The ten thousand Greedy Wolf Cavalrymen from Righteousness merged with our 2000 + Dragonlight Cavalrymen and ten thousand Cyan Tiger Cavalrymen. We stood proudly at the top of the hill and looked down at the Northern Alliance's defensive formation about a thousand meters away.
The sound of horses neighing could be heard as countless Northern Alliance players blocked the entrance to Poplar Valley. The entrance was about two thousand yards wide, and the frontline consisted of high-level magic knights holding up their shields to act as a barrier. Archers, mages, priests, and many Fire Catapults were ready to attack from the back, and all the archers had their arrows nocked and drawn. They were ready to face China's charge at any moment.
A group of people stood on the hillside, watching with trepidation.
"F * ck!"
Li Chengfeng sucked in a deep breath before saying, "Even half of our Dragonlight Cavalrymen will die if we force our way through. Their defense is too deep, and the frontline magic knights are protected by priests and ranged attackers. It's going to be very difficult to kill them all, and as long as the magic knights don't die, our chances are slim. Everyone else, just watch."
I nodded. "The only way to cut into the mages and archers is to take out the frontline magic knights first. Otherwise, our chances are slim. Many of the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalrymen are acting as meat shields, and the Northern Alliance's elites are coming out in full force. This is going to be a tough nut to crack!"
Chaos Moon said, "Yeah. I did a quick scan, and I can see that there are almost twenty Heroic Bannermen in the defensive formation. If we force our way through, we'll definitely be slaughtered."
Gui Guzi gripped his spear and said with a smile, "It's fine. Let's just fight our way through!"
I shot him a glance. "That's right. We can break through their defense just the same, but we won't have the manpower to attack White Horse City if we suffer too many casualties.
Even if we kill every Northern Alliance player here, it won't make much of a difference. This time, we have to take down White Horse City to earn a great merit for the China server! "
Li Chengfeng raised his eyebrows. "Actually, it's not that hard to break through their defense, and we don't need to suffer too many casualties. The key is to separate their knights from their mages and priests. As long as the priests can't reach their knights, and the mages can't hit us, the Dragonlight Cavalry will be able to cut through the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalrymen like vegetables."
Beiming Xue nodded. "Unfortunately, it's too difficult to cut through their defense."
Everyone was speechless.
It was at this moment Lian Xin smiled and said, "Actually, I can give it a try ~"
My eyes lit up. "What, Lian Xin has a plan?"
"Mn."
Lian Xin nodded and smiled. "Well … my Origin Force Field can push players away from each other. If I throw out 12 Origin Force Fields at the same time, I can create a vacuum between the enemy magic knights and their ranged players. That way, the magic knights will lose their supplies and cover. Isn't that the solution?"
Everyone was caught off guard by her suggestion. Li Chengfeng slapped his thigh and laughed. "That's a brilliant plan! Hahaha, you really are smart, Sister Lian Xin!"
I nodded. "Yeah, let's use this strategy. All Dragonlight Cavalrymen, prepare to attack. Cyan Tiger Cavalry and Greedy Wolf Cavalry, prepare yourselves. The moment we break through their defense line, we'll charge them from the front. Don't get caught up in the fight. My goal is to break through their defense line and reach White Horse Plains. Anything else is of no concern to us!"
Everyone nodded in unison, and the sound of weapons being unsheathed filled the air.
… …
Lian Xin jogged toward the front while I provided cover for her. Li Chengfeng and Chaos Moon followed closely behind her because they were afraid that something bad would happen to our sci-fi beauty.
Lian Xin smiled when she arrived at the front of the enemy formation. She raised her scepter and summoned the power of the stars. The next moment, 12 Origin Force Fields exploded in the middle of the enemy formation!
Bang bang bang...
The Origin Force Fields created a vacuum that twisted the enemy's defense line. A large group of magic knights were pushed forward, mages and priests were pushed to the back, and the magic knights were out of the priests' healing range.
Overjoyed, I raised my sword and shouted, "Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls Cavalry, attack!
Now is the time to show the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalry our true strength! "
The sound of horse hooves thundered through the air. Almost ten thousand cavalrymen cut into the enemy formation like a sharp knife, and I was the tip of this knife. The Cyan Netherworld Sword glowed brightly as I rammed into the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalry. The Armored Ice Qilin Horse's hooves glowed with the light of War Crush as I nailed myself to the heart of the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalry. Then, I raised my sword and executed Burning Blade Slash + Thousand Ice Slash!
Boom boom boom!
The Burning Blade Slash was so powerful that it one-shot a bunch of enemies! The Phantom Wolf King howled angrily and dashed through the enemy formation like lightning.
The Phantom Wolf King howled angrily as it dashed through the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalrymen like a bolt of lightning, its Claw of the Storm cutting into the armor of the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalrymen.
At the same time, Lin Yixin appeared on the other side of the battlefield and led the Purple Dragon Cavalry in an ambush. Lian Xin's 12 Origin Force Fields might not be that effective, but the effect they brought to the Purple Dragon Cavalry was absolutely stunning.
Bang bang bang...
The sounds of intense collisions rang out as the riders charged against each other. It was a clash of flesh and blood. Li Chengfeng, Gui Guzi, Chaos Moon, and the others charged at the enemy's formation with all their might.
Beiming Xue and a group of archers rushed over from the rear just in time to see the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalry covering the flanks. Smiling, the little beauty raised her arm and summoned a giant, blood-red Well of the Abyss in front of her. The Divine General Skill was like a black hole that sucked in all the magic knights who tried to charge into it. It was way too overpowered!
"Sister Lian Xin, prepare the skewers …" Beiming Xue giggled.
Next to Beiming Xue, Lian Xin waved her scepter and casted Ice Spiral Matrix + Dimensional Storm at the enemy formation the moment Well of the Abyss disappeared!
Boom! Boom!
The moment Well of the Abyss disappeared, at least a thousand magic knights were piled up on top of each other. Lian Xin's Ice Spiral Matrix and Dimensional Storm were so powerful that they couldn't escape unscathed. Even Purple Marquis couldn't help but cheer, "Fuck, what a good strategy …"
Gui Guzi, Li Chengfeng and the others laughed loudly. There was no one in the Northern Alliance who could stop Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls from breaking through the enemy formation.
The sound of swords cutting through armor was pleasing to the ears. In less than three minutes, the Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalrymen at the front of us were completely routed. Lian Xin cleverly used her Origin Force Fields to split a path for us, and the Northern Alliance's mages and archers were right in front of us now that they had lost their cover!
"Charge!"
I lowered my sword as Lin Yixin, Gui Guzi, Purple Marquis and the rest of our elite players charged forward and unleashed all kinds of skills. The mages' Galaxy Storms couldn't kill any of us at all, but their Magic Shields were warped and bent by skills like Burning Blade Slash, Ice Flame Slash and more. In the blink of an eye, a large number of our players were killed. The archers weren't even worth mentioning.
Beiming Xue and Lian Xin had been following the cavalry all this time, unleashing AoE skills like Evil Spirit Volley, Spiraling Arrow Blade, Ice Spiral Matrix, and Dimensional Storm. The two girls had become a thorn in the Northern Alliance's side, and no one could do anything to them because they were protected by the strongest cavalry in the game.
… …
Beep!
It was a message from Cute Little Naughty: "Vice leader big bro, quest complete! I destroyed the only teleportation formation in White Horse City and killed a lot of assassins, but that's not a problem!"
I couldn't help but smile. "Are you safe now, Naughty?"
"Yeah, I'm out of the city!"
"Good. Let's take a stroll outside the city. The main army will arrive in an hour, and White Horse City will be in for a good show!"
"Alright, I'll be waiting for you!"
… …
It wasn't long before we tore through the Northern Alliance's defense line. Candle Dragon, Warsky Alliance, Purple Lily and other powerful guilds attacked us from the front and diverted a lot of our firepower.
Almost twenty minutes later, almost a million players broke out of the encirclement. Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls, Snowy Cathaya, Blazing Hot Lips and The Monarch Descends had formed an elite alliance, and the frontline consisted entirely of cavalry. The sound of hooves trampling the silence of the plains shattered the silence as we charged toward White Horse City!
