The Great Priestess's Mark? Once marked, the Great Priestess would attack and kill him three times in a row?
Chen Mo frowned when he saw this. He didn't expect Da 'Xiong to have such a strange item.
Da 'Xiong already knew how powerful he was, but he was still very confident in the Great Priestess's Mark. He believed that Chen Mo wouldn't be able to avoid the Great Priestess's attack. Moreover, You Ji had taken the Great Priestess very seriously. It was obvious that the Great Priestess's attack wasn't simple.
Although Chen Mo was very confident in his own strength, he wasn't sure if he could avoid the Great Priestess's attack until he experienced it firsthand.
With these thoughts, Chen Mo quickly came to a decision.
Instead of waiting for the Great Priestess to attack him, he might as well make the first move and kill the Great Priestess!
If the Great Priestess was hiding in the Orc territory, it would be almost impossible for him to assassinate her alone. However, the Great Priestess just happened to be outside the Orc territory. You Ji and the other human elites were also on their way to assassinate her. He could use this opportunity to kill the Great Priestess.
After making his decision, Chen Mo quickly killed a few more Orc players. Then, he looked at the gradually thinning Orc Swarm and dashed in the direction of the Orc territory.
The map given by the fortress guards had marked the Orc territory. The Great Priestess should be at the outermost edge of the Orc territory. Moreover, this Orc Swarm was most likely triggered by the Great Priestess. Otherwise, the players wouldn't have been able to drive away such a huge Orc Swarm.
In other words, the Great Priestess shouldn't be too far away. In addition, the surrounding terrain was open. Even if he didn't know the Great Priestess's exact location, he had a high chance of finding the Great Priestess with the help of the Black Phoenix.
As for the human army, Chen Mo believed that he could catch up to them even if he was delayed for half a day.
After the Orc Swarm, the human players suffered heavy losses. Nearly half of the nearly ten thousand players died in an instant. Only about five thousand players were still alive.
None of the five thousand players noticed that Chen Mo had disappeared from the human army. They just angrily chased after some Orc players who were alone to vent their anger.
However, most of the Orc players still managed to escape into the Orc territory. The surviving Human players didn't dare to chase them too deep. They could only regroup and continue their journey, moving towards the World Sea.
Chen Mo, who had left the Human team, saw many Orc players heading in the same direction. He had an idea and quietly followed them.
These players had all accepted a quest and were heading back to the Great Shaman's location.
…
In the outermost region of the Beast Clan's territory, there was a small lush valley.
Many players entered and exited the valley, and in the valley, a temporary altar was set up. A white-haired, skinny old man sat on it.
Below him, there were two groups of Orc guards standing guard, preventing players from approaching. From their expressions, it was clear that they were extremely respectful towards the skinny old man.
The valley was originally peaceful, but all of a sudden, a dense rain of arrows shot out from the side of the mountain more than ten meters to the right, aiming at the old man on the altar.
"Assassins!
Protect the High Priest! "
When the beastmen saw the rain of arrows, they shouted and raised the shield in front of them to help the old man block the rain of arrows.
This skinny old man was the Orc High Priest. The information that You Ji and the others had received was correct. They had followed the information to this small valley and found the High Priest.
Although there were two groups of Orc guards around the High Priest, these guards were far fewer than the ones protecting the High Priest in the Orc territory.
There were many players around, but You Ji, Dounis, and the others decided to ignore the players and directly attack the High Priest.
After all, based on the information they had received, the High Priest would rush back to the Orc territory before nightfall after presiding over the attack on the human adventurers. They wouldn't get a better chance to attack if they continued to wait.
When the rain of arrows fell, You Ji, Dounis, and the others all jumped into the valley and attacked the High Priest with all their might.
"War God Possession!"
You Ji used all her strength to try and kill the high priest before the adventurers could react.
Right now, the adventurers were getting stronger and stronger. If the number of adventurers increased, they would be in trouble.
There were two groups of Orc guards around the High Priest. There were a total of twelve people, but You Ji and Dounis had brought more than twenty people, more than double the number of Orc guards.
With the addition of You Ji and Dounis, the two super elites, their combined attack was extremely fierce.
Boom!
You Ji's greatsword slashed out a golden sword light at the High Priest.
Facing the attack of You Ji and the others, the High Priest didn't panic at all. He only slowly opened his tightly shut eyes.
However, under You Ji and the others' ferocious attacks, the twelve guards below were clearly unable to hold on as their HP dropped rapidly.
"Life Totem!"
As if facing a great danger, an ancient dark green staff appeared in the High Priest's hand. With a wave of his staff, an ancient tree totem appeared in the center of the Orc guards.
The totem was engraved with countless patterns, and a huge green halo appeared around the totem. The twelve guards were within the halo's effect, and their HP recovered at an astonishing rate.
"Oh no, it's the legendary Life Totem!
How can it be activated so quickly?! "
Dounis was shocked by the speed of the Orc guards' HP.
One of the reasons why the humans wanted to kill the Beast Race Great Shaman was because the Beast Race Great Shaman could use a Life Totem skill!
The recovery effect of a God-grade Life Totem was very shocking. In the last war between the Humans and the Beastmen, the Warriors blessed by the Great Shaman's God-grade Life Totem were almost unkillable.
However, Dounis and the others all knew that the Life Totem needed a certain amount of time to cast. They originally wanted to break through the Orc guards' defense line and kill the High Priest before he could cast the Life Totem.
They didn't expect the High Priest's skill activation speed to be so much faster than they expected.
No wonder the High Priest dared to come to this dangerous place with only a few Orc guards. It turned out that the High Priest's strength had increased a lot in just a few years!
"Strength Totem!"
"Blessing Totem!"
"Speed Totem!"
Dounis, You Ji, and the others weren't able to break through the Orc guards immediately. With the Life Totem's support, You Ji and the others were even more unable to break through.
The High Priest on the altar waved his staff continuously, setting up ancient totems one after another on the small battlefield in front of him.
With the support of these ancient totems, the twelve Orc guards' stats increased at an astonishing rate. Originally, the twelve of them wouldn't be able to last more than a few rounds against You Ji and the others. However, now that they were outnumbered, they were able to fight You Ji and the others to a draw!
"The High Priest is so powerful!"
The battle here was very sudden, but it quickly attracted the attention of many Orc players.
Seeing that the High Priest had only released a few totems to turn the tables on the Orc guards, the Orc players couldn't help but feel envious.
This was especially true for the Orc Priests. They felt that if they could learn the High Priest's skills, they would be able to do whatever they wanted in the game.
"You Ji, retreat. There's no hope!"
Dounis said with a gloomy expression after fighting with the Orc guards for a short while.
The High Priest's strength had already exceeded their expectations. If they continued fighting with the Orc guards, it would only become more and more disadvantageous for them.
With the support of the High Priest's totems, the Orc guards would become more powerful as they fought, while the Orc players would constantly be injured. If the Adventurers also joined the battle, they would be in danger.
"Alright, retreat!"
Although You Ji was extremely unwilling to retreat after exchanging a few blows with the High Priest, she knew that continuing the battle wouldn't do them any good.
"Human Adventurers, since you've come here, there's no need to go back. Do you think that you can escape with just a few people?
I know you humans too well. If you knew that I wasn't in the Orc camp, you would definitely think of ways to kill me.
You've indeed sent people. Unfortunately, there's still too few of you. "
Seeing that You Ji and the others were about to retreat, the High Priest suddenly spoke up.
You Ji, Dounis, and the others' hearts sank when they heard this.
From the High Priest's tone, the High Priest had already been waiting for them here. If that was the case, the High Priest must have dug a hole for them to jump into!
But before launching the attack, You Ji, Dounis, and the others had already confirmed that there were no Orc guards lying in ambush nearby. Otherwise, they wouldn't have launched the attack rashly.
However, they soon understood.
At this moment, a group of several dozen beastmen guards ran into the valley with loud rumbling noises.
When You Ji and the others saw this, they knew that the High Priest didn't set up an ambush nearby. Instead, he had hidden them outside the valley. As long as he delayed You Ji and the others for a while, the guards outside would be able to come in to support them.
"We can't escape!"
Dozens of guards came very quickly. In the blink of an eye, they had already surrounded You Ji and the others.
The twelve beastmen guards were enough to render You Ji and the others helpless with the support of the Great Shaman Totem. Now that there were dozens more beastmen guards, You Ji and the others wouldn't even have the strength to resist.
Were they going to die here?
You Ji didn't expect that death would come so suddenly. Although she knew that this assassination would be dangerous, she didn't think that she would lose her life.
But the Orc Race captured these assassins and wouldn't let them live.
"A God-tier skill. I didn't expect a God-tier skill to be so powerful."
On a cliff at the side of the valley, Chen Mo muttered to himself as he looked down at You Ji and the others who were surrounded below.
He followed the Orc Race players alone and quickly found this valley.
Although You Ji and the others had set off earlier than him, they had more people and had to hide, so they were slower than him.
Originally, if You Ji and the others could successfully kill the High Priest, Chen Mo planned to watch the show silently. However, the High Priest had a God-tier skill. This greatly surprised Chen Mo.
Chen Mo didn't know if he would force the High Priest to use his God-tier skill if he killed him!
