Blackflag had said that the Aiqin Kingdom was a weak kingdom, and that was indeed the case. The Aiqin Kingdom's defense was very weak. Aside from the general and a few commanders, the rest of the guards were about as strong as Kent and the others.
Originally, Chen Mo had planned to contact the Aiqin Kingdom's upper echelons after settling down and have Katelyn obtain a legal status.
However, after listening to Kent's words, Chen Mo changed his mind.
According to Kent, the Aiqin Kingdom's royal family seemed to be afraid of being poor. If the royal family learned of Katelyn's existence, they would definitely do everything in their power to squeeze Chen Mo dry before seizing Katelyn.
Since this plan wouldn't work, Chen Mo decided to conceal Katelyn's existence from the royal family.
Kent and the others were in charge of patrolling the southern region of the Eichen Kingdom. As long as he reported the presence of a large, dangerous creature that Kent and the others couldn't handle, the Eichen Kingdom would naturally list the area as a forbidden zone.
The royal family of the Eichen Kingdom wouldn't make a big fuss over a dangerous creature. As long as the dangerous creature didn't leave the forest, the royal family of the Eichen Kingdom would pretend that nothing had happened. In the Eichen Kingdom, this kind of thing was very common. Most of the time, some residents couldn't bear it and hired mercenaries to eliminate those dangerous creatures.
However, Whale Bay and the surrounding forest were uninhabited. There weren't many resources in the area, either. Naturally, residents wouldn't do such a thing.
Chen Mo decided to create a powerful and dangerous creature in the forest around Whale Bay. With Big Fatty around, this wouldn't be difficult. All he had to do was have Big Fatty and Kent put on a show for some of the Aiqin Kingdom's NPCs to see.
Aside from the matters regarding the Aiqin Kingdom, Chen Mo also learned about the Holy Continent from Kent.
Before coming here, Chen Mo had thought that the Holy Continent was a vast continent.
That was indeed the case in the past. However, countless years ago, a great calamity had befallen the Holy Continent. During that calamity, the Holy Continent had been split into five large pieces. They were the Southern Holy Continent, Eastern Holy Continent, Western Holy Continent, Northern Holy Continent, and the Holy Central Holy Continent.
The five continents were located in the East, South, West, North, and Central. The five continents could only be connected by water. The five continents had close interactions, and there were many people traveling by water. This was also why there were so many pirates in the Sacred Ocean.
The Aiqin Kingdom was located at the southernmost part of the South Sacred Continent. Although it was close to the sea, it would take a long detour to get to the other continents. Therefore, the Aiqin Kingdom didn't benefit much from being close to the sea.
Moreover, due to the excessive exploitation of the royal family, many of the Aiqin Kingdom's residents could not take it anymore and left the Aiqin Kingdom, causing the Aiqin Kingdom to become weaker and weaker. Now, it was one of the weakest countries in the South Holy Continent.
In Kent's eyes, the Aiqin Kingdom was a kingdom without any hope and would only continue to decline. There was no future to speak of in the Aiqin Kingdom, so Kent recommended Chen Mo to go to the neighboring Grey Wing Kingdom.
"Grey Wing Kingdom?" This was the first time Chen Mo heard of the Grey Wing Kingdom.
"Yes. Unlike the Aiqin Kingdom, the Grey Wing Kingdom used to be one of the strongest countries in the entire South Holy Continent. However, in the war that swept across several continents two hundred years ago, the Grey Wing Kingdom was defeated and suffered severe joint sanctions. The entire kingdom's resources and wealth were plundered clean, so it quickly declined.
However, after two hundred years of development, the Grey Wing Kingdom also gradually developed. Now, it's much stronger than the Aiqin Kingdom. It's even stronger than some of the countries that accept outsiders and adventurers. However, because of the defeat two hundred years ago, the Grey Wing Kingdom lost its qualifications.
Right now, other countries are treating outsiders and adventurers like sheep. I'm afraid that only the Grey Wing Kingdom treats outsiders and adventurers fairly. The Grey Wing Kingdom is currently actively recruiting adventurers. It seems that they want adventurers to help them do something that they have been unable to do. "Kent nodded and introduced the Grey Wing Kingdom.
"What is it?" Chen Mo's interest was piqued.
"I don't know the details, but there are some special and attractive rewards." Kent shook his head.
Chen Mo asked for more details. After hearing about the rewards from Kent, he decided to go to the Grey Wing Kingdom.
However, he couldn't set off immediately.
In the next two days, apart from stabilizing Catrin's territory, Chen Mo also put on a show with Kent and Big Fat. They created news that there were extremely dangerous land monsters in the forest near Whale Bay. This caused the Aiqin Royal Family to list this area as a forbidden area.
This area was listed as a forbidden area, and with Kent and other patrolling guards protecting it, it was extremely difficult for Catrin to be exposed.
For the time being, no one would enter Catrin's territory, so she was safe. However, Catrin's level development had also stagnated.
Without NPCs and players, Catrin's population and economy couldn't meet the minimum requirements for leveling up.
However, this couldn't be helped. The Holy Continent's situation was special, so it was best for Catrin to keep a low profile for now.
After a period of time, when the Sky Tree completely matured, Catrin wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore.
After telling Enoch and Fatira some things to take note of, Chen Mo went to the Grey Wing Kingdom alone.
He had already obtained the map from Kent. The Grey Wing Kingdom was west of the Aiqin Kingdom. Chen Mo walked for half a day before entering a tall gray forest.
Starting from this forest, it was the territory of the Grey Wing Kingdom.
The Grey Wing Kingdom was a large country, and its area was much larger than the Aiqin Kingdom.
The Aiqin Kingdom was small and poor. Apart from the Royal Capital, there were only villages.
In the Grey Wing Kingdom, apart from the Grey Wing City in the Royal Capital, there were more than ten small towns of different sizes in the Grey Wing Kingdom.
However, Chen Mo went directly to Grey Wing City. The Grey Wing Kingdom's royal family recruited adventurers in Grey Wing City and gave out quests.
Even with the Black Phoenix, Chen Mo still flew for half a day before he saw Grey Wing City in the distance.
Before he came, Chen Mo had actually heard about the uniqueness of Grey Wing City from Kent. After seeing it with his own eyes, he was still amazed.
Gray Feather City was enormous. However, this enormous city was actually built on the roots of an enormous tree.
In the center of Grey Wing City was an ancient giant tree. This giant tree's roots extended endlessly, and Grey Wing City was built on top of this giant tree.
Chen Mo could see the bare trunk of the giant tree even from a distance far away from Grey Wing City.
The giant tree in Grey Wing City had a radius of more than ten meters, and was probably two to three hundred meters tall. However, this wasn't the height of the giant tree.
It was unknown what kind of powerful weapon had cut the giant tree in half. Right now, only half of the giant tree was left on the ground, so the entire giant tree looked bare. Only at the waist where the tree had been cut off, there were some green leaves growing out.
There seemed to be a mysterious legend about why the Grey Wing Kingdom was called the Grey Wing Kingdom.
Chen Mo didn't want to be too ostentatious, so he jumped off the Black Phoenix before he reached Grey Wing City.
The news of the Grey Wing Kingdom recruiting adventurers with generous benefits had probably spread. Chen Mo could already see the shadows of many players entering Grey Wing City from afar.
The players weren't fools. It wouldn't take long for them to realize that the NPCs of the Holy Continent were exploiting them.
Knowing that the Grey Wing Kingdom was offering generous rewards, it was only natural that a large number of players would come over to try their luck.
After coming to the Holy Continent, the quests that these players could receive didn't have high rewards. Many people couldn't be bothered to waste time on them. Hearing that the Grey Wing Kingdom's quests were nearby, they naturally wouldn't miss it.
As Chen Mo approached Grey Wing City, he saw that the players who came over had different skin colors and hair.
After the players from the various regions were gathered in the Holy Continent, they would probably come into contact more frequently in the future.
In the future, the game wouldn't be divided into regions. If they really had to be divided, it would be according to the Holy Continent.
Even in the original China Region, the number of people who knew Chen Mo was limited. These foreign players didn't even know who Chen Mo was. Chen Mo entered Grey Wing City with these foreign players.
Grey Wing City didn't have walls, so naturally, there were no guards. However, after Chen Mo entered Grey Wing City, he saw several well-equipped patrol teams.
The NPCs of Grey Wing City were extremely curious about Chen Mo and the other adventurers. However, when Chen Mo and the others approached them to ask for directions, these NPCs kindly pointed the way.
The quests were issued by the Grey Wing Kingdom's royal family. However, the royal family didn't intend to let adventurers enter the royal family. Instead, they set up an open-air location outside the royal family.
Chen Mo actually wanted to enter the Grey Wing Kingdom's royal family to take a look. This was because the royal family of the Grey Wing Kingdom was built around a giant tree. If one didn't enter the royal family, they wouldn't be able to approach the giant tree.
However, since the royal family didn't intend to let anyone enter, Chen Mo didn't act recklessly.
"Fellow adventurers, welcome to Grey Wing City.
Since you're here, I'm sure you've heard about the Grey Wing Kingdom.
Our Grey Wing Kingdom welcomes all adventurers. If you have companions, you can also invite them to come. Our Grey Wing Kingdom has many matters that require your help.
However, right now, the Grey Wing Kingdom needs your help with an important matter. Everything else will have to wait until after this matter. "
Under a small tree, an old soldier named Nord spoke candidly to Chen Mo and the others who had appeared together.
"I wonder what the royal family's quest is like?
We want to confirm it before deciding whether to accept or not. "
The one who spoke was a European middle-aged man with light blonde hair. His skin was very fair, and he had a robust build. He wanted to confirm the quest's content first, just in case.
"I can't go into too much detail right now. I can only tell you that we need you to enter a special place. This place is very dangerous for the people of the Grey Wing Kingdom. However, it's much less dangerous for you adventurers.
After you enter, you'll know what we need you to do.
However, I can tell you first that this matter requires the cooperation of you adventurers. As long as you complete it, all of you will receive generous rewards. Of course, the adventurer with the greatest contribution will receive the greatest reward, "Nord said with a smile.
A cooperative dungeon quest?
After hearing Nord's words, everyone, including Chen Mo, fell into deep thought.
A cooperative quest would provide a decent reward as long as it was completed. As long as one's luck wasn't too bad or the quest was ridiculously difficult, the possibility of completing the quest was very high.
As for the danger, the players who would come were already mentally prepared.
"Alright, we're willing to accept the quest." The blonde middle-aged man and his team expressed their willingness to accept the Grey Wing Kingdom's commission.
