Chen Mo walked to the little purple squirrel's side and used a [Detection] skill on it.
In the reward layer, even if there was no battle, as long as the [Detection] skill was used on a beast, the player would be able to obtain the general information of the target beast. From this information, the player would be able to determine whether a beast was good or bad.
System Notification: Detection successful!
Mutated Squirrel: A squirrel whose fur has mutated. It is very rare and does not have any special abilities.
The result of the [Detection] skill was very simple and clear. Just as Chen Mo had guessed, this squirrel was indeed a mutated squirrel. However, it was a squirrel that had mutated from a Mauser. Although it was very rare, it was just a good-looking but useless creature.
To be honest, this purple fire-coloured squirrel looked very small and cute. If a girl who liked cute animals saw this little squirrel, she would definitely like it very much.
However, Chen Mo prioritized practicality above all else. It was rare for him to come to a place that produced rare beasts. If he didn't properly get one or two powerful pets, it would be a waste of opportunity.
Outside, it was too difficult for players to catch a Boss-ranked pet. If it wasn't a Boss-ranked pet, it would be useless for Chen Mo to catch it.
In this reward layer, even if it wasn't a Boss-ranked pet, he could still catch it and use it. If his luck was good, he might even be able to get a Boss-ranked pet.
After seeing that the mutated squirrel was just a good-looking but useless creature that was just trying to act cute, Chen Mo shook his head slightly and left the little purple squirrel behind.
The little purple squirrel turned around and looked at the little squirrels that were poking their heads out from the tree holes to observe Chen Mo's movements. It gritted its teeth and hopped behind Chen Mo.
It knew that if it continued to stay here, it would only be bullied by its companions.
It had wanted to leave this place a long time ago. However, squirrels were too weak. In this place, they were practically the weakest beasts. They had almost no battle power to speak of. If they left this territory, they would easily be attacked by other strong beasts.
Although it wanted to leave, the little purple squirrel couldn't leave by itself.
Now that Chen Mo had appeared, the little purple squirrel decided to follow behind Chen Mo and take the opportunity to leave this place first.
Chen Mo walked in front while the little purple squirrel hopped behind him. When Chen Mo walked, it also walked. When Chen Mo stopped, it also stopped. It maintained a distance of about 15 metres from Chen Mo.
Along the way, when Chen Mo passed by some beasts' territories, the beasts would roar at the little squirrel that had also entered the territory. The little squirrel then couldn't help but to get closer to Chen Mo in fear. However, when it was safe, it would take the initiative to move a bit further away, as if it was afraid that Chen Mo would chase it away....
However, the little squirrel wasn't a threat threat threat threat.......
. However, the little squirrel wasn't a threat to him. After this fellow was bullied, it wouldn't be strange for it to follow behind him. Seeing that it was quite pitiful, he just let it follow him if it wanted to.
However, seeing that Chen Mo didn't chase it away, Chen Mo continued to move around in the reward level, looking for strong beasts. The distance between the little squirrel and Chen Mo gradually became closer.
About half an hour later, the little squirrel was already following beside Chen Mo's feet. Wherever Chen Mo went, it would follow.
"Do you know where there are strong beasts?"
Chen Mo had been walking around here for half an hour. Most of the beasts that he saw were normal beasts. Looking at the little purple squirrel that was following beside his feet, Chen Mo couldn't help but ask.
He had the ability to communicate telepathically. This little squirrel naturally had a good impression of him. Even if it couldn't communicate with him, it wouldn't be a problem for the little squirrel to understand his words.
When the little squirrel heard this, it shook its head at first, but then it nodded hesitantly.
It found that it could understand Chen Mo's words. This made it feel very strange. Its impression of Chen Mo naturally increased a little.
However, when it heard about strong beasts, the little squirrel couldn't help but hesitate.
It was still very young and didn't move around much. It didn't know much about its surroundings.
However, among the squirrels, there were some strong and experienced old squirrels that could move around without being afraid of being attacked by other beasts.
When the little squirrel was still very young, its fur had not started to mutate. It and many other little squirrels would often listen to the stories of the strong squirrels that they went out for adventures.
In those stories, the old squirrels would mention where there were beasts, where the beasts were strong, what kind of danger they encountered, and how they almost couldn't come back.
The little squirrel couldn't answer Chen Mo's question. However, according to the stories it heard, it knew the locations of some strong beasts.
However, the little squirrel wasn't sure if it could help Chen Mo, so it hesitated to answer.
However, after a little hesitation, it still decided to answer Chen Mo's question. If it didn't do anything and just followed Chen Mo, it was worried that Chen Mo would treat it as if it didn't exist.
Therefore, no matter what, the little squirrel wanted to let Chen Mo feel that it was still useful.
"You know?
Where is it? "
When Chen Mo saw the little squirrel nodding, he immediately became spirited and hurriedly asked.
The little squirrel raised its head and pointed to the top of a tree.
Of course, there were no beasts there. Chen Mo immediately understood that the little squirrel wanted to go there to identify the location. However, the little squirrel didn't dare to go up, because on this tree, there was a large owl that was eyeing the little squirrel covetously.
If it wasn't for Chen Mo beside it, this owl might have already swooped down and directly attacked the little squirrel.
"This is simple."
Chen Mo nodded. He grabbed the little squirrel and placed it on his shoulder. Then, a pair of grey wings appeared on his back. He brought the little squirrel and flew to a place higher than the top of the tree, letting the little squirrel identify the direction.
Standing on Chen Mo's shoulder, the little squirrel became extremely excited. When Chen Mo stopped in mid-air, the little squirrel tried its best to look around.
When it recognized that there was a wide river on the left, and upstream of the river, there was a tall cliff, the little squirrel patted Chen Mo's shoulder and tried its best to point to the cliff where the river flowed out.
"There are powerful beasts there?"
Chen Mo looked at the little squirrel. After getting confirmation, he immediately moved and brought the little squirrel towards the cliff.
The cliff wasn't too far away from Chen Mo. It was only a ten-minute walk. However, if he wanted to walk there aimlessly and discover the powerful beasts there, it would take him at least an hour.
Ten minutes later, Chen Mo arrived at the foot of the cliff. There was a green pool there, and the river flowed out from the pool.
Hualala ~ ~ ~
Chen Mo walked towards the pool, and a bucket-sized giant snake suddenly emerged from the pool.
"Sea Snake beast?"
Chen Mo checked the attributes of the giant snake and discovered that it was a type of sea snake.
The result of the [Detection] skill was that the sea snake's battle power was very strong. It was considered a rare beast, but its rarity couldn't be compared to the mutated squirrel beside him.
But no matter what, this sea snake was the most powerful beast that Chen Mo had encountered so far. Chen Mo decided to test the sea snake's power.
After the sea snake came out of the water, the little squirrel weakly hid behind Chen Mo. After Chen Mo told the little squirrel to hide further away, he moved and attacked the sea snake.
When the sea snake saw that Chen Mo still dared to attack it after it came out to show off its strength, it couldn't help but be furious. With a boom, its huge body coiled towards Chen Mo.
However, Chen Mo had seen many monsters that were even bigger and more difficult to deal with. A mere sea snake was not that outstanding in Chen Mo's eyes.
Bang bang …
A few loud sounds were heard. In the blink of an eye, Chen Mo and the sea snake exchanged a few blows. The sea snake couldn't do anything to Chen Mo, but Chen Mo had reduced its HP by quite a bit.
Seeing this, the sea snake was shocked and angry, feeling danger.
Chen Mo fought with the sea snake for a while more before shaking his head and giving up on the idea of contracting the sea snake.
This sea snake was only huge in size and had a little more HP. Other than that, there was nothing special about it, especially when it came to skills. Even if its attributes were good, it would be difficult for it to be of much use.
"Is there anything more powerful!?"
Chen Mo returned to the little squirrel's side and asked.
The little squirrel watched the battle between Chen Mo and the sea snake from the side. When it saw Chen Mo suppressing the sea snake, its eyes were already filled with excitement.
In the squirrel clan, the most powerful squirrels almost died after seeing the sea snake. In the end, they were lucky enough to survive and become their bragging rights.
However, Chen Mo could easily defeat the Clown Sea Serpent!
Chen Mo asked again. The little squirrel's head spun. It tried its best to think where there was a more powerful beast.
A beast like the sea snake was useless to Chen Mo. It had to think of the location of a more powerful beast!
After thinking for a while, the little squirrel finally remembered the location of a more powerful beast.
This warbeast was the most powerful warbeast in its memory. The old squirrel who had seen this warbeast had once said that this warbeast was the most powerful warbeast in this place!
"You want me to fly with you in midair so that you can find a more powerful beast?"
The little squirrel gestured for a while before Chen Mo roughly understood what it meant.
Fortunately, he had the mental communication skill. Even if he couldn't completely understand what the little squirrel meant, the little squirrel still understood what he was saying. After spending some time, it was finally able to barely communicate.
Flying in the sky was a small matter to Chen Mo. However, the little squirrel seemed to be unable to find the location of that powerful beast in a short period of time. Hence, Chen Mo decided to summon the Dark Phoenix and sat on its back, allowing the Dark Phoenix to carry him and the little squirrel to a higher altitude.
In midair, the little squirrel, who was squatting on Chen Mo's shoulder, couldn't help but become even more excited.
However, it didn't forget its business. While Black Phoenix was flying, it was also trying its best to look around, searching for the legendary place.
Chen Mo wasn't in a hurry. After all, there was no time limit in the reward level, and there was no time limit in the Ability Battle Tower. He could take his time.
However, after Black Phoenix flew in the air for more than twenty minutes, the little squirrel pointed at a pitch-black forest in front of them, indicating that Chen Mo had found it.
…
Fourth.
