Chen Mo immediately had the Black Phoenix fly over and land in front of the Dark Forest. He then walked into the Dark Forest with the little squirrel.
The Dark Forest was quiet. Most of the ground was made up of large piles of dark leaves. However, some of the leaves on the ground had also rotted and were wet. It looked like a swamp.
The ground was a little strange. Chen Mo walked in carefully. Not long after, a black shadow appeared in front of him.
A ghost-type monster?
Looking at the black shadow floating in the air, Chen Mo was a little surprised.
The translucent Black Ghost looked at Chen Mo with its gray eyes. Then, with a whoosh, it floated into the Dark Forest.
It ran away without attacking him?
Chen Mo was even more confused. He moved his feet and chased after it.
Chen Mo had not attacked the Black Ghost yet, but the Black Ghost seemed to be very afraid of Chen Mo. Even when Chen Mo chased after it, it had no intention of attacking Chen Mo. It only ran away.
Chen Mo did not know what was in front of him. He did not want to keep chasing the Black Ghost. He was not too far away. Chen Mo activated his Dexterity and attacked the Black Ghost with his Gray-feathered Crossbow.
Two arrows passed through the Black Ghost's body. Chen Mo realized that his attacks could not hurt the Black Ghost at all.
Physical attacks are ineffective?
With a thought, Chen Mo's Agility exploded once more. The nearest Black Wraith used a Scout skill on it.
Phantom Ghost: A special ghost-type monster. It has no physical body. Physical attacks are ineffective. Under normal circumstances, it does not have any offensive abilities.
A monster without a physical body and without any offensive abilities?
No matter how knowledgeable Chen Mo was, this was the first time he had seen such a monster. He was immediately interested.
The Phantom Ghost did not have a physical body. Chen Mo's attacks were all physical. Under normal circumstances, he would not be able to do anything to it. However, he had the Black Phoenix. The Black Phoenix's attacks were mostly magical. The Phantom Ghost did not have any offensive abilities. The Black Phoenix could easily reduce most of its health.
Once the Phantom Ghost was heavily injured, Shi Feng could use his Detection Skill. He should be able to obtain more information regarding the Phantom Ghost.
That was Chen Mo's plan, but just as he was about to approach the Phantom Specter and summon the Black Phoenix to attack, a huge black crocodile suddenly emerged from the wet black ground in front of him.
When the Phantom Specter saw the black crocodile, its translucent body moved and floated onto the black crocodile's body.
On this floor, the various beasts that Chen Mo had seen before would repel and attack different beasts. However, when the Black Crocodile saw the Phantom Spirit floating over, it did not resist at all.
Roar!
When the Phantom Ghost floated onto its body, the black crocodile roared fiercely. Its body grew noticeably bigger as it roared and pounced on Chen Mo.
Chen Mo didn't know what the relationship between the Phantom Spectre and the black crocodile was, but he knew that the only way to figure it out was to kill the black crocodile.
The black crocodile pounced over, and Chen Mo didn't hold back. He waved his dagger and met the black crocodile head-on.
"This guy is so nimble!"
Chen Mo had experience fighting crocodile-type monsters. Crocodile-Type monsters had high attack and defense, but their reactions were usually slower.
The most nimble crocodile he had encountered before was the crocodile Boss that guarded under the Flaming Rock Fruit Tree.
However, that crocodile Boss was a super Boss, so it wasn't strange for it to be nimble.
However, the black crocodile in front of him was much weaker than the crocodile Boss, but in terms of agility, it was stronger than the crocodile Boss. This made Chen Mo a little surprised.
With high attack power, strong defense, and nimble movements, the black crocodile suddenly became very difficult to deal with.
After fighting with the black crocodile for a while, Chen Mo realized that using the slow movement of crocodile-type monsters to attack the black crocodile wouldn't work, so he decided to just fight the crocodile head-on.
No matter how nimble the black crocodile was, as long as he was careful, it would be impossible for it to hit him.
The black crocodile couldn't hit him, but he could hit the black crocodile. However, he couldn't use a sneak attack to deal high damage. He needed a little more time to kill the black crocodile.
After fighting with Chen Mo for a while, the black crocodile seemed to know that it was no match for Chen Mo. It quickly attacked Chen Mo a few times, then turned around and ran away.
How could a crocodile monster run away when it saw that the situation was not good?
Chen Mo immediately understood that this was most likely the work of the Phantom Ghost.
As a monster, it was already very abnormal for the Phantom Ghost to not have any attack power. Then, the Phantom Ghost most likely had the ability to possess other monsters and fight together with them.
This would explain why the black crocodile was so nimble and chose to run away when it saw that the situation was not good.
However, Chen Mo still needed to verify the truth.
If the Phantom Ghost's ability was to fight together with other monsters, to Chen Mo, this ability was still a little weak. If there were better options, he wouldn't consider it.
However, if the Phantom Ghost's ability was better than he expected, then he could contract one and use it.
The black crocodile wanted to escape, but with its cumbersome body, it couldn't outrun Chen Mo no matter how much it ran.
Chen Mo went forward to intercept the black crocodile, attacking it with all his might. The black crocodile tried to escape, but under Chen Mo's blockade, it was useless.
After a short while, the black crocodile was heavily injured by Chen Mo.
Seeing this, the Phantom Ghost that possessed the black crocodile's body moved and floated away from the black crocodile's body, wanting to continue escaping.
Chen Mo was prepared and immediately called out the Black Phoenix.
The Black Phoenix came out, and under Chen Mo's attack, it began to use magic to attack the Phantom Ghost.
The Phantom Ghost's HP was pitifully low. After a few attacks from the Black Phoenix, its HP dropped and it entered a heavily injured state.
In the Beast Level, players were not allowed to kill beasts, but beasts that had entered a heavily injured state would not be able to move. Chen Mo took a big step forward and threw another [Detection] skill at the heavily injured Phantom Spectre.
Phantom Ghost: Special Ghost, No Level, Can attach and control other monsters.
Monsters that were attached to and controlled would be able to unleash attribute powers that were much stronger than they were under normal conditions.
When attaching to other monsters, the other monster's permission must be obtained. If attaching to a high-level monster, it can forcefully control a low-level monster.
The Phantom Ghost's detailed information appeared before Chen Mo's eyes. Chen Mo took a glance and suddenly narrowed his eyes.
When the little squirrel brought him here, he knew that the Phantom Ghost would be more powerful than he had imagined. However, he still underestimated the Phantom Ghost.
The Phantom Specter's ability was much stronger than he had expected!
Moreover, this was only the ability of a normal Phantom Ghost. In this pitch-black forest, there might be Boss-level Phantom Ghosts. The ability of a Boss-level Phantom Ghost would definitely be stronger!
