The dense fog was rolling on the ground. The large particles in the fog were constantly colliding and rubbing against each other. Other than that, the entire world seemed to have entered the end of the world. There were no other changes.
Su Chen and Hu Youyou had been walking on the pitch black ground for two hours, but they didn't find any clues.
Location, direction, they had no clue at all.
Su Chen even felt that he might have fallen into the Netherworld.
But thinking about it carefully, Su Chen's soul had been to the Netherworld before. The Netherworld wasn't like this.
Speaking of which, the Netherworld's environment was much better than this godforsaken place.
"I'm a little tired. Don't you think that this fog will absorb our elemental energy?" Hu Youyou said weakly.
"A little, but it's still okay." Su Chen was still full of energy. After all, he had the Undying and Indestructible Diagram to help him recover his elemental energy.
Hu Youyou was speechless. Su Chen wasn't at the Sea of Reincarnation Realm, but he had surpassed the Sea of Reincarnation Realm in many aspects. He was simply too sick.
But under such circumstances, seeing that Su Chen was still alive and kicking, Hu Youyou felt a sense of security.
Otherwise, if the two of them fell into a trough, it would be troublesome.
"Let me carry you." Seeing that Hu Youyou was getting weaker, Su Chen simply squatted down and said.
Hu Youyou didn't stand on ceremony with Su Chen. Using her tail to wrap around Su Chen's thigh, she flipped over and laid on Su Chen's body.
"Get me some water to wash." Hu Youyou said. Even though the situation wasn't good, she didn't give up on her beauty.
Su Chen smiled and took out the Sea God's Trident. He released a gentle current to wrap around Hu Youyou.
Even though washing with seawater would leave behind salt crystals, it was still better than having a sticky body.
Su Chen also used the current to wash himself.
After another hour, Su Chen still couldn't find any way out.
They didn't know how big this fog was, and they couldn't tell the direction at all. Su Chen even suspected that they had been walking in circles for a long time.
"This can't go on. Even if I have the Undying and Indestructible Diagram to recover my Yuan Power, as time passes, all of my Yuan Power will be sucked away by the mist. If I can't find a way out by then, I can only wait for death."
Su Chen took a deep breath and swallowed an Essence Restoration Elixir. In an instant, he poured his essence force into the Sea God's Trident. The divine artifact wasn't fully activated, and a thick sea current burst forth. Su Chen stepped on the sea current and moved forward rapidly.
At the same time, the Flames of Divine Refinement burned fiercely beneath Su Chen's feet. Even the sea currents were ignited, constantly dispersing the mist they encountered along the way.
They continued to travel with the flow of the river, and before they knew it, two hours had passed.
At this moment, Hu Youyou was already extremely weak. The essence energy in her body was almost depleted.
Seeing this, Su Chen took out an Essence Restoration Elixir and fed it to Hu Youyou, allowing Hu Youyou to recover some of her essence energy.
She suddenly pointed to the ten o 'clock direction and said, "There … I can feel that the mist there is thinner."
Although he didn't know if it was dangerous, Su Chen didn't care too much at this moment. He was like a headless fly, and he just wanted to find something.
He immediately changed the direction of the sea current and followed it.
After about five to six minutes, Su Chen suddenly fell down with the sea current.
The mist dispersed, and Su Chen and Hu Youyou fell into a narrow valley.
This valley was at most twenty meters wide, but it was five to six hundred meters deep. It looked very ordinary, but the mist outside couldn't enter.
Su Chen took out a handful of fluorite used for illumination, and scattered it around the valley, illuminating the small valley.
"Lady Youyou, sit down and rest for a while. Eat something, I will go take a look around."
Hu Youyou sat down and nodded. The valley wasn't big, and they could see everything with a glance. There was no mist here, so there was no need to worry about the two of them getting separated.
But just to be safe, Su Chen still shot out a red divine rune, and wrapped it around both his and Hu Youyou's arms.
"What is this?" Hu Youyou curiously looked at the red rope-like divine rune on her wrist and asked.
Su Chen chuckled, "This is called a thousand miles marriage linked by a thread. With this divine rune, as long as you are within a thousand miles of me, I will be able to accurately lock onto your position. You won't be able to escape even if you want to."
How could Hu Youyou not know that Su Chen was taking the opportunity to tease her, but Hu Youyou didn't have the strength to say anything, so she could only let him do whatever he wanted.
Very quickly, Su Chen searched the valley inside and out.
Returning to Hu Youyou's side, Su Chen shook his head, "Other than rocks, there is nothing else."
"At least we have a place to rest. There is no mist here to absorb our energy, so we can take advantage of this opportunity to recover."
Su Chen nodded, took out a recovery pill and swallowed it. At the same time, he gave Hu Youyou a few bottles of recovery pills.
"You don't want to keep them?"
Su Chen said, "There is a lot, more than enough."
Su Chen had refined a lot of this kind of recovery type medicinal pills. Usually, he basically did not need them, so he had a lot in reserve. There were hundreds of bottles of Energy-replenishing Pills alone. There were ten pills in each bottle, which was enough to last him a long time.
Sitting down cross-legged, Su Chen didn't stay idle.
"System, do you know where this place is?"
"Unable to answer the host's question."
"System, can you analyze the composition of this mist?"
"System level is not high enough."
Su Chen was slightly surprised, "System, you can level up?"
"Every time the host completes a mission, the system will receive a certain amount of experience points. After accumulating enough experience points, the system can level up."
"Damn, there is such a setting?"
Su Chen was speechless, "Then how much experience does the system need to level up?"
"The current experience points have reached two thirds of the required level. The host can complete more missions to help the system level up faster."
Su Chen's temper flared when he heard this. "I don't want to do missions, but you should at least release some normal missions. What do you want me to do if I become a lowly person?"
The system was silent for a while, then said, "All missions are randomly generated. The system's decision-making power is limited."
It actually knows how to shirk responsibility!
Su Chen thought for a while, then asked, "Then after you level up, will there be any new functions?
Don't tell me it will take another year to level up? "
If that was the case, then Su Chen would rather the system not level up.
System: "After the system is upgraded to version 0.2, the system will open the market's exchange function. Skill points can be used as the market's currency to buy items. There will also be new ways to obtain skill points."
Damn, that sounds very tempting!
It seems like I really have to do a lot of missions.
"How many versions does the system have, and how many times can it be upgraded?" Su Chen asked again.
System: "The number of times the system can be upgraded does not depend on the system itself, but on the host's growth potential."
"Okay …"
