After a friendly discussion with the system, Su Chen became very interested in the system's upgrade.
However, he still needed to complete at least a dozen more daily quests before the system could meet the requirements for the upgrade.
With the system's quests, even if Su Chen relaxed his bottom line, it would still take a long time.
Moreover, now was not the time to think about these problems. The situation was unclear, and whether or not he could safely leave this damned fog was a problem.
Su Chen tried teleporting a few more times. He realized that he could freely use his teleportation skill in the Deep Valley without the thick fog. However, the range of his teleportation skill was limited to the Deep Valley. He still could not go beyond the thick fog. It was obvious that the source of Su Chen's teleportation was the thick fog.
Su Chen also wanted to try teleporting underground, but he gave up after testing the hardness of the black rocks.
If they were too hard, once he teleported underground, he would be easily crushed into a meat patty by the dense rocks.
After pondering for a long time, Su Chen still could not think of a better way to leave this place.
"I'm done."
Hu Youyou slowly opened her eyes. With the help of the Energy Recovery Pill, the energy in her body had recovered.
"Then let's hurry up and find a way out."
Although he still had a lot of Energy Recovery Pills in reserve, staying here was not a long-term solution. Even if danger lurked everywhere, he still had to give it a try. He could not just sit there and wait for death.
Hu Youyou nodded and took the initiative to walk to his side. "Let me carry you this time."
"No need, I'll carry you," Su Chen said.
Hu Youyou's attitude was firm. "My sensing ability is stronger than yours. I'm more suitable to find the way."
Su Chen thought about it and agreed. After all, Hu Youyou was the first to discover this safe valley. It was indeed more suitable for her to lead the way.
Su Chen did not hold back. He reached out and wrapped his arms around Hu Youyou's neck and took the initiative to lie on her back. At the same time, Hu Youyou used her tail to wrap Su Chen and secure him.
With a whoosh, Hu Youyou jumped up and carried Su Chen into the thick fog again.
The impenetrable mist once again enveloped the two of them. Su Chen immediately released a wave of Divine Flames to burn and disperse the dense mist, and then condensed a layer of Flame Barrier around the two of them, blocking the invasion of the mist.
Hu You's Serene Sea Reincarnation Realm cultivation was completely unleashed. She brought Su Chen along and charged forward at full speed.
In the blink of an eye, sixteen hours had passed.
Hu Youyou maintained a high speed throughout the journey. Coupled with the fact that the thick fog was robbing her of her elemental energy, her elemental energy was being depleted at an extremely fast rate. She would need to consume an Origin Recovery Pill every hour, and she had already consumed two bottles in this short amount of time.
Su Chen continuously used the Flames of Divine Refining, which consumed a lot of his spirit energy and spirit energy. In the end, the recovery effect of the Undying and Indestructible Diagram could not keep up with the consumption, so Su Chen had no choice but to start swallowing Recovery Pills to maintain his spirit energy in an abundant state.
"Bang!"
Right at this moment, Hu Youyou seemed to have crashed into something, and the powerful impact made Su Chen jolt. He subconsciously tightened his arms and hugged Hu Youyou tightly.
"Where are your hands touching!?"
Hu Youyou's voice was filled with resentment.
Su Chen smiled resentfully and quickly moved his palm up. The soft touch that came from his palm made Su Chen's heart ripple uncontrollably.
"Increase the firepower. Let's see what's blocking the path ahead."
Hu Youyou said with a slightly inappropriate tone, but the situation was critical, and she couldn't care less.
Su Chen nodded, and the Flames of Divine Refining suddenly increased in intensity, burning through the thick fog ahead. What was blocking the path was actually a thick purple crystal wall.
Su Chen frowned. "This is …"
Hu Youyou also sensed something and said, "It seems to be a devil palace. Maintain the firepower. I'll find the entrance."
"Okay!"
This devil palace was quite big. Hu Youyou searched for a long time before she found the entrance, but the gate was tightly shut. Even with her strength, she couldn't break it open.
"I'll do it!"
Su Chen's divine imprints erupted, and he forcefully broke the divine imprint restriction on the entrance. After two minutes, he finally opened the gate.
Hu Youyou's figure flashed, and she rushed in with Su Chen.
Under the isolation of the devil palace, the fog outside couldn't enter, and their vision was finally restored.
Su Chen jumped down from Hu Youyou's back and carefully observed his surroundings.
Behind the entrance of the devil palace was a spacious palace. The palace seemed to have been abandoned for a long time, and there was a thick layer of ash on the ground.
"There are footprints, and they look quite fresh." Hu Youyou said.
Su Chen also saw them. Rather than calling them footprints, they were more like the footprints of some kind of wild beast.
Su Chen bent down and picked up a handful of dust to sense it. He could sense a very strong demonic aura.
"There should be a devil expert here, and not long ago. Maybe they haven't left yet. We have to be careful." Su Chen said.
"Let's follow the footprints." Hu Youyou immediately followed the footprints.
Su Chen followed closely behind.
The two of them passed through the palace and followed the footprints to an underground passage. Just as Hu Youyou was about to step into the passage, Su Chen suddenly pulled her back.
"Careful, there are restrictions."
Su Chen frowned. There was a strong fluctuation of divine imprints at the entrance, and it wasn't something an ordinary Divine Imprint Master could create. At the very least, it had to be a Divine Talisman Master, or even a high-grade Divine Talisman Master.
It was very likely that this devil palace was the core of this fog formation.
Even Su Chen felt extremely troubled when encountering a Divine Inscription Formation of this level.
"Can you break it?" Hu Youyou asked.
Su Chen said, "Let's give it a try."
After saying that, Su Chen activated the divine imprint and penetrated it into the restriction. Not long after, he entered a meditative state. Even his breathing and heartbeat seemed to have stopped, becoming abnormally slow.
Hu Youyou didn't dare to be careless. She carefully observed the surroundings and stood guard for Su Chen.
"This little pervert, he's usually frivolous, but when he's serious at the crucial moment, he actually has a unique charm."
Hu Youyou muttered in her heart, and her cheeks inexplicably flushed red.
She quickly shook her head and shook off the distracting thoughts in her heart. She warned herself, "Hu Youyou, face reality. You're already over two thousand years old. Don't have any illusions about love. Men are all pigs, they're not worth trusting!"
"Whoosh!"
At this moment, a burst of sparks came from the passage. Su Chen opened his eyes and said, "Done!"
This restriction was a little easier than he thought, but it still took him a full ten minutes to break it.
Hu Youyou's complexion had already returned to normal. She didn't say anything and walked straight into the passage.
Su Chen activated the power of the Holy Phoenix, and a holy golden radiance enveloped his body. He mustered up his courage and followed her.
The passage was long and narrow, and it took them a long time to reach the exit.
"Snore …"
Suddenly, a thunderous snoring sound was heard.
Su Chen looked up and saw a huge monster with a green face and fangs lying on the ground, snoring loudly.
"Demon … Demon God!"
