Two days later, Xu Tianyu and the others finally arrived at the outskirts of the forest. At the same time, Xu Tianyu could finally see the name of the forest.
"Nightmare Forest."
"What a strange name."
Just by looking at the name, Xu Tianyu felt inexplicably uneasy.
Because of the possible danger, Xu Tianyu did not bring Yan Tian, Yue Yu, Chen Meng and Ling Long this time.
After all, if they encountered a powerful demonic beast, Xu Tianyu and the others would only have a chance to escape. Therefore, it was necessary to reduce the unnecessary burden.
"Master, as long as three Silver-ranked demonic beasts enter within a kilometer of us," Yang Qin said.
"Let's go around them. This time, our target is a Gold-ranked demonic beast. You have to train hard."
Xu Tianyu said as he began to take a detour. Although the system map was still dark, Xu Tianyu could still see everything within a kilometer of him.
Whether it was the terrain, demonic beasts or hidden enemies, they easily went around the demonic beasts and began to enter the forest.
However, Xu Tianyu soon stopped because the path in front of them was blocked.
It was not a demonic beast that blocked them, but a mushroom-like plant.
[Magic Mushroom]: A type of mushroom that produces magic elements. Any animal that inhales the powder of the Magic Mushroom will be hallucinated. In the hallucination, all creatures' growth will be passively increased by two times. Similarly, their growth will be weakened by two times.
"Hiss …"
Xu Tianyu sucked in a breath of cold air.
Although the Magic Mushroom did not seem to have any destructive power, in the hallucination, it would directly strengthen the inner demons in one's heart.
If one could not break free from the control of the inner demons, then one would become a walking corpse and lose one's soul.
Moreover, the passive growth of the Magic Mushroom was terrifying. It meant that all demonic beasts that entered the environment would grow twice as fast as before.
Now, Xu Tianyu suddenly understood why there were so many Gold-ranked demonic beasts here. It seemed that the Magic Mushroom played a significant role in it.
However, the side effects of the Magical Hallucination Mushroom were also very serious. The rapid growth of magical beasts was only due to pulling up seedlings to help them grow. This would exhaust the magical beasts' potential and vitality.
Originally, a magical beast could live for a hundred years, but after entering the illusion, Quickdraw might only have fifty years of life left.
Thinking of this, Xu Tianyu couldn't help but take a step back.
"System, is there any way to block the effects of the Hallucination Mushroom?"
"Yes, as long as the host has eaten the Treasure Fruit beside the Magic Mushroom, the host will not be affected by the illusion."
After hearing the System's words, Xu Tianyu realized that the Magic Mushroom had many plants that were about half a meter tall. Between the branches and leaves, there were some dark red fruits that were only the size of a finger.
Treasure Fruit: Dispels all illusions.
"Mo Hong, go and pick some of those dark red fruits." For safety's sake, Xu Tianyu decided to let the Lich Queen go.
The fruits were quickly plucked and returned. Xu Tianyu and the others ate them one after another.
"It's a little refreshing and sweet. The taste is not bad."
The delicious taste of the Treasure Fruit made Xu Tianyu's eyes light up. Especially in the hot summer, it could be said to be a rare delicacy.
After Xu Tianyu and the others ate the Treasure Fruit, they continued on their journey. When they passed by the Magic Mushroom, the air was filled with a sweet smell.
"Ding! You have obtained a Superbirth Buff."
"Ding! Your experience points have been doubled. Your growth speed has been doubled."
Hearing the System's notification, Xu Tianyu was stunned. He didn't expect that the Treasure Fruit and the Magic Mushroom would have such an effect. Perfect.
