Pacific Ocean, deep sea, island-building engineering ship hall.
After exiting the Interstellar Portal, Chen Yu disconnected the spatial link and adjusted the Interstellar Portal into the shape of a metal arch.
Looking around the empty hall, he walked up the spiral staircase and entered a study. He sat on a wooden chair in front of a desk.
On the window of the study was a large screen, displaying the scene of the waves sweeping across the seaside.
From time to time, the sound of waves could be heard from the simulated sound system.
After looking out the "window" for a moment, Chen Yu changed the background of the poster to deep space. He then pasted the poster to the side.
"It's 9 o 'clock."
After doing all that, he raised his wrist to look at the time. Without any hesitation, he started his live streaming channel.
[Advertising Live Broadcast Room is being activated …]
[Bilibili, DouYu, and Youtube have been activated …]
[Total Viewer Count: 0.]
As the permissions were released, a large number of IPs flooded into the live broadcast room.
25932 people.
390055 people.
2683934 people.
5440911 people …
In just three short seconds, the number of people had exceeded five million!
This was the peak of Chen Yu's popularity ever since he started livestreaming.
[Ahh!
Coming!]
[First.]
[First …]
[Host, are you kidding us?]
[Kill the clickbait!]
[I haven't slept for a week. Is it an alien invasion?]
[F * ck!
Why are you dressed so formally?]
[Earth is going to die. If there's anything, burn paper money.]
[It's possible that the sun is expanding.]
[A supernova explosion?]
[It's time to activate the Wandering Earth plan.]
[I have a bad feeling.]
[If Earth is really going to be destroyed, I hope that UP won't say anything.
(Smile)]
After waiting for 20 seconds, the livestream's total viewer count exceeded seven million. Faintly, Chen Yu said, "Good morning, friends in the livestream rooms.
This is Transdimensional Review's additional livestream. "
"Today's review is a little special. It's not an interactive event, nor is it a review of any products. Instead, I have something to announce to everyone."
Unlike before, Chen Yu's voice today was calm and deep. Unknowingly, everyone in the livestream rooms felt a mountain of pressure.
A heavy and uneasy atmosphere gradually spread.
"When I heard this news, I was hesitant to tell everyone.
Because it will disrupt your originally peaceful life.
But after thinking about it for a long time … I feel that it is necessary to prepare everyone in advance.
After all, the moment of life and death that I mentioned is already very close to us. "
"As humans living on Earth, we should have the right to know each other.
I am not the government. I will not, and cannot, consider so many complicated issues. I am just a Transdimensional Reviewer, here to show everyone the scenery of the future. "
"This scenery includes technology and disasters …"
After saying so, without giving his audience any time to think, Chen Yu placed the Civilization's Shining Moment magazine on the table and continued, "Its name is Civilization's Shining Moment.
It was serialized in 2030, recording a series of major historical events of human civilization after 2030.
We can think of it as a future version of the Annals of History or the Encyclopedia Britannica. "
"In the future, it will be the most important professional newspaper with the most historical value and technological content."
"The one in my hand was manufactured in February 2041.
It recorded the astronomical events discovered in the year 2041.
This is also the moment of life and death that I want to talk to everyone about today. "
"Yes …"
Raising his head, Chen Yu calmly said, "Historically, it was discovered in the year 2041, which is 20 years away from us. However, Earth has always been experiencing the harm it causes, and we will be able to feel it in a few months."
[Crap … What is going on?]
[I don't think the UP is joking.]
[It doesn't matter if the world is destroyed or not. I just want to know where the female assistant went.]
[Where did the female assistant go? + 1]
[Isn't the disaster still 20 years away?
You can't delay my work!]
[These animals …]
[Maybe the destruction of humanity is a good thing …]
"Let's end the opening here. Everyone already has a preliminary understanding of this matter.
Now, I will explain the ins and outs of this crisis to everyone. "
After saying so, Chen Yu flipped to the first page of the magazine, pulled out his notes, and began his narration in a steady rhythm.
"As we all know, before 2006, the solar system had nine planets.
They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and the last planet, Pluto. "
"However, in 2006, Pluto was kicked out of the nine planets because a new planet, Eris, was discovered.
Its mass is 27% greater than that of Pluto. "
"This incident also forced the global astronomer community to reconsider the definition of a planet.
If a celestial body like Pluto is still defined as a planet, then there are simply too many planets in the solar system.
This is especially true in the Kuiper belt and asteroid belt. The number of such celestial bodies is immeasurable.
"Hence, at the 26th International Astronomical Union Conference in 2006, the planetary conditions were redefined, and Pluto was removed from the group and demoted to a dwarf planet."
Pausing slightly, Chen Yu gave the audience in front of the screen some time to sort out their thoughts. He then flipped to the second page of the magazine and continued, "Since then, the solar system has eight planets again.
Until 2014, astronomer Chad Trujillo discovered an anomaly in a celestial body and inferred the existence of a ninth planet. "
Lifting the magazine, Chen Yu showed a close-up image of a pink planet to the screen. "This is the anomaly discovered in 2014, the farthest asteroid in the solar system — Sedna.
Its perihelion is 76 astronomical units, or 11.3696 billion kilometers.
This distance is more than double that of Pluto.
"In 2014, Chad Trujillo discovered that this celestial body named Sedna was actually affected by an invisible 'perturbing celestial body.'
This perturbing celestial body pulled Sedna's orbit out of the ecliptic plane, causing it to have a large inclination to the ecliptic plane. Moreover, many asteroids in the Kuiper belt were later found to have such a phenomenon.
"As of 2015, a total of more than 30 asteroids have been found to be dragged by this celestial body.
"Since then, humans have begun to pay attention to this mysterious perturbing celestial body. In the academic community, it has been called the ninth planet."
After saying so, Chen Yu flipped to the third page of the magazine.
"The time has come to January 2016, Konstantin Batygin.
Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown.
These two ordinary researchers from the California Institute of Technology have further excavated the data of this mysterious planet and concluded that this planet's mass is ten to thirty times that of Earth. It is also located an average of 600 astronomical units away from the sun.
"If you are interested, you can also find its 92-page paper in Reports.
Even on the Internet, you can find its 92-page paper.
Even on the Internet, you can find this information.
"At this point, it seems that the solar system's ninth planet is about to be discovered.
The astronomical academic community is cheering. However...
"Time has come to 2019, which is last year.
More and more astronomers have discovered that something is amiss.
"This so-called ninth planet is the beginning of the disaster..."
...
(Note: I vomited blood. I searched too much and only finished two chapters. Sorry.)
