Chen Mo had received several of those strange commissions, but the one in the Quicksand Rift Valley was the strangest and the one that left the deepest impression on him. Ever since the commission in the Quicksand Rift Valley, he had not received any more strange commissions from Fatty Tian from that mysterious client.
However, at that time, he was also gradually rising in the game, and the money he earned was much more than the money he earned from accepting commissions. Although he was curious, he knew that he wouldn't be able to get any useful information from Fatty Tian, so he didn't pay much attention to it.
However, it was impossible for Chen Mo to say that he did not find it strange that he had received a few strange commissions.
It was just that he did not know anything at that time. He only knew that there was money to be made from commissions, so he did it.
Now that he saw that someone seemed to be doing the same thing that he had done before, Chen Mo wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to clarify things!
Back in the Quicksand Rift Valley, he had also searched for a long time beside the broken statue, but he did not find anything. Now that he thought about it, it was probably because he was on the side, so the hidden thing would not appear.
Now that he was hiding in the distance, if there was really something in the broken ore in front of him, he would wait for a while, and it would naturally appear!
Chen Mo had some questions to ask the team of western players, but after weighing the pros and cons, he decided to wait here.
That team of players was probably the same as him back then. They knew very limited things, and even if they knew, it would be difficult for him to get any answers from them.
In his disguised state, Chen Mo waited quietly.
Time passed by minute by minute, and in the blink of an eye, more than ten minutes had passed.
Just as Chen Mo was beginning to doubt whether waiting was the right thing to do, he suddenly realized that among the pile of crushed ores in front of him, there was an inconspicuous piece of ore that suddenly cracked open with a soft pop.
Sure enough, there was something hidden inside!
Chen Mo focused his gaze and suddenly looked over.
Then, he saw a pitch-black caterpillar crawling out of the ore.
A monster?
Chen Mo was quite knowledgeable in the game, but he had never seen a monster like the pitch-black caterpillar.
The pitch-black caterpillar crawled out and quickly glanced around. After seeing that there was no one around, it opened its big mouth and quickly bit a crack in the air in front of it.
What the hell is this thing?
When Chen Mo saw it, he could not help but be shocked.
If it used a powerful spatial skill like the Chinchilla to directly break space, it would be fine, but the pitch-black caterpillar in front of him had directly bitten open space in the game!
And this was obviously different from the space cracks caused by spatial skills. In the space bitten open by the pitch-black caterpillar, red and green lines appeared, which reminded Chen Mo of hacking scenes that appeared in many movies.
Chen Mo furrowed his brows. He knew that the missions he did were not simple, but he did not expect such a shocking secret to be hidden behind them!
No matter how he looked at it, this black caterpillar was not a simple thing in this game world!
The speed at which the black caterpillar bit open space was very fast. Seeing that it was about to escape from the space it had bitten open, Chen Mo did not wait any longer. His figure moved and suddenly attacked the black caterpillar.
Black Dragon Strike!
Facing the black caterpillar, Chen Mo brazenly used the Black Dragon Strike, which had the fastest attack power and attack speed.
If it was not the Black Dragon Strike, Chen Mo was not sure that other skills could stop the black caterpillar.
The Black Dragon Strike was like a bolt of lightning. It covered a distance of tens of meters in the blink of an eye. Like a mad dragon's Magnetic Storm Sea Spear, it ruthlessly stabbed the small body of the black caterpillar.
The black caterpillar obviously did not expect that it would be attacked at this time. Facing the attack of the Magnetic Storm Sea Spear, its eyes revealed a look of panic. It was too late to dodge. The Magnetic Storm Sea Spear nailed its body and fiercely pushed it more than ten meters away.
Taking advantage of the fact that the black caterpillar was pushed away from the space it had bitten open, Chen Mo rushed forward and prepared to catch the black caterpillar.
However, whether he could catch it or not, Chen Mo was not sure at all.
He clearly saw the scene just now. The Magnetic Storm Sea Spear hit the black caterpillar and pushed it more than ten meters away. However, the black caterpillar did not suffer any damage. It was as if he had attacked a creature in the game. Otherwise, no matter how strong the black caterpillar's attributes were, it would not have been sent flying more than ten meters away without any damage.
Ice Crystal Battle Armor!
While rushing towards the black caterpillar, Chen Mo used the Ice Crystal Battle Armor skill he had just learned.
Chen Mo's body was suddenly covered by a layer of ice crystals, forming a sparkling armor.
This Ice Crystal Battle Armor, compared to the Ice Crystal Skin, not only has the ability to resist ice attributes, but it can also effectively resist ordinary attacks. Moreover, during the coverage of the Ice Crystal Battle Armor, Chen Mo's attacks have a chance to freeze the enemy.
Although the probability is not high, but if he attacks a few times, it will always be effective. Chen Mo wanted to freeze the black caterpillar to see if he could catch it.
Seeing Chen Mo rushing towards it, the black caterpillar's eyes flashed with a trace of anger and ferocity.
Whoosh!
The black caterpillar's body swelled. Originally, it was only the size of a thumb. After it swelled, its body instantly became dozens of times larger, turning into a huge caterpillar the size of a bucket. It was very scary.
Roar!
After the black caterpillar grew bigger, it roared at Chen Mo. Chen Mo looked at the black caterpillar's attack and his pupils suddenly shrank!
"What the hell is this attack!"
Looking at the attack, Chen Mo was horrified.
After the black caterpillar roared, although the surrounding space did not shatter, it rippled slightly like a lake. In front of Chen Mo, there were alternating red and green lines.
Although he didn't know what effect these lines had on him, Chen Mo obviously didn't dare to touch them.
I'm afraid that even if he has invincible defensive skills in the game, if he touches these lines, there won't be a good result!
Chen Mo's heart flashed with this thought. His body moved quickly, preparing to bypass these red and green lines to catch the black caterpillar.
The black caterpillar's body became huge. After it roared and released this strange attack, its body became small again.
"Not good!"
Chen Mo thought that after the black caterpillar's body became small, he would be able to catch it with a little obstruction. But he didn't expect that the black caterpillar would rush to the ripples in the space that he didn't dare to step on.
Not only that, the ripples in the space became very fragile. The black caterpillar opened its mouth and easily bit through it.
Triple Shot!
The Sea Spear couldn't be used for the time being, so Chen Mo could only use the gray feather crossbow to attack the black caterpillar with three consecutive shots, trying to prevent the black caterpillar from escaping.
Chen Mo's reaction was not slow, but the space rippled by the black caterpillar's roar was obviously different from ordinary space.
In a normal game space, there was absolutely no reason for Chen Mo's crossbow arrow to miss its target. However, in this space that resembled rippling lake water, Chen Mo's arrow didn't hit the black caterpillar. Instead, it deviated by a full meter.
According to the location of the three arrows, Chen Mo quickly corrected the spatial deviation. The gray feather crossbow moved, and the crossbow arrow was shot again.
This time, even if there was a deviation in space, Chen Mo was confident that he could accurately shoot the black caterpillar.
However, when Chen Mo shot the crossbow for the second time, the black caterpillar had already bitten a space crack in the rippling space that it could enter.
The black caterpillar didn't go in immediately. Instead, it turned around and looked coldly at Chen Mo. It looked at the arrow that was flying towards it. When the arrow was about to hit its body, it lowered its head and went into the spatial crack.
The arrow shot by Chen Mo also followed, but the black caterpillar wasn't afraid of the arrow attack. Even if Chen Mo's arrow hit the black caterpillar inside, Chen Mo couldn't stop the black caterpillar from leaving.
He still let the black caterpillar escape!
Chen Mo's heart sank.
It was the first time he came into contact with the black caterpillar, so he didn't know what the black caterpillar had. If he knew in advance, the black caterpillar would never have escaped from his palm.
What Chen Mo didn't know was that even if he had seen the black caterpillar before, it was unlikely that he would be able to stop the black caterpillar now.
Compared to the black caterpillar that had appeared before, the black caterpillar at the moment had clearly evolved.
Just when Chen Mo's heart sank, in front of him, a huge body suddenly flashed!
Chinchilla?
Chen Mo didn't expect that Chinchilla would appear at this time.
Chinchilla didn't greet Chen Mo. It just stretched out its big hand and its palm slammed into the space where the black caterpillar escaped and grabbed it hard.
Squeak!!!
An angry voice came. When the Chinchilla's palm stretched out of the space crack, it was holding the escaping black caterpillar in its palm!
"Good!"
Chen Mo was overjoyed. He didn't expect things to turn around. Chinchilla actually took the initiative to help him catch the strange black caterpillar!
It seems that he has been wrong about it before. This guy is sometimes very reliable!
However, in the next moment, something that Chen Mo didn't expect happened.
Chinchilla opened its big mouth and threw the black caterpillar into its mouth. With a click, the black caterpillar turned into pieces and disappeared.
This, this …
Chen Mo was completely stunned. He looked at Chinchilla speechlessly and didn't know what to say.
Damn, he thought that this guy was enlightened. When it saw the black caterpillar escaping, it helped him. It turned out that this guy wanted to eat the black caterpillar!
"Isn't it delicious!?"
Chen Mo looked at Chinchilla with a dark face.
This guy is really asking for a beating. Even if it wants to eat it, it's not in a hurry. At least let me study it first!
"Not bad, not as delicious as I thought."
Chinchilla replied to Chen Mo in a good mood. When Chen Mo heard it, he couldn't wait to go up and beat this guy up.
