"Forget it. What's this black caterpillar?"
There was no point in arguing with this guy, so Chen Mo asked instead.
"I don't know. I just thought it might be delicious, so I caught it and ate it."
It was unknown if the Chinchilla was being serious or not. After answering Chen Mo's question, it disappeared with a whoosh.
'F * ck, this damn foodie!
'Forget it. I'll ask that player team!'
Chen Mo made a decision.
The player teams that could reach the sixth floor were not weak. Moreover, this team had accepted such a strange mission. The team's strength would not be low. They would not leave just like that after completing the mission. They were most likely looking for the Metal Rat.
It would not be easy to find the Metal Rat now. It would not be difficult for him to find them.
As Chen Mo thought about it, his figure flickered and he dashed towards the direction of the western players.
It was inconvenient to find them without using Black Phoenix. However, Chen Mo still found the player team after searching for more than ten minutes.
The western player team was in a good mood after completing the mission. They were lucky enough to find an Advanced Metal Rat on the side of a mine. They were working together to kill it. When they saw Chen Mo coming out of the side of the mine, they all looked at Chen Mo warily.
It was not easy to find an Advanced Metal Rat on the sixth floor because it was not strange for a Metal Rat to PK.
However, when they saw that Chen Mo was alone and there were no more companions behind him, the six of them relaxed a lot.
"Brother, what do you mean? Are you trying to steal our kill?"
However, when they saw Chen Mo walking toward the six of them, someone could not help but frown and ask.
"I don't mean any harm. I just want to ask you some questions." Chen Mo stopped and asked calmly.
"Ask away. However, we're not very familiar with this place. If you want to ask how to find the Metal Rat, we can only say sorry. We're trying our luck here."
When the six of them saw this, they nodded and answered.
"Who did you receive the mission to break that black ore?"
Chen Mo went straight to the point.
He was not familiar with these people. No matter how he tried to establish a relationship, it was taboo to ask such a question. Therefore, he might as well ask directly.
"Are you following us?"
After hearing Chen Mo's words, the eyes of the team leader, a middle-aged warrior in black armor, suddenly turned cold. The other five looked at Chen Mo with murderous intent in their eyes.
"No, I don't know you and I didn't follow you. I just happened to pass by and saw your strange behavior. I was curious."
Chen Mo shook his head. He wanted to use words to reduce their vigilance as much as possible.
"Hmph!
Who knows if you're telling the truth? If you're not following us, then why are you secretly watching us from the side?
We can guarantee that we didn't see anyone in the vicinity before this! "
However, Chen Mo's words clearly failed to convince the six of them.
If he was really just passing by, he wouldn't be hiding at the side to peek at them.
"What's the point of talking to him? Kill him first!"
One of the young archers in the group shouted fiercely.
Following that, he raised the bow in his hand and shot out a Triple Shot skill. Three arrows from different angles shot towards Chen Mo from different directions, making it difficult for Chen Mo to block.
Chen Mo looked at the three arrows indifferently. The God's Punishment Dagger in his hand moved continuously. The three arrows were continuously deflected by the God's Punishment Dagger, causing no damage to Chen Mo.
An expert!
When the six of them saw this, their pupils shrank.
There were quite a few players in the game who could use their weapons to deflect arrows. Previously, there were quite a few videos on the forums that taught such techniques.
However, in those videos, most of them were just demonstrations. There weren't many people who could use it in actual combat. They had never seen someone like the person in front of them, who could casually deflect three arrows in a row.
"Let's attack together!"
"Mountain Break Slash!"
However, since the battle had already started, the middle-aged warrior knew that things wouldn't end well. With a command, he brazenly attacked.
The place where Chen Mo stopped was not far from them. Their attacks could easily hit Chen Mo's position.
Crimson Shadow Blink!
Golden Mark!
Wave Break!
However, at the same time, Chen Mo used Crimson Shadow Blink and landed in front of the six. Before the six of them could react, a golden wave of air surged through their bodies.
The six of them were not as high level as Chen Mo. Under the binding of Golden Mark, the six of them discovered that they couldn't move in an instant.
Where did this monster come from?!
The six of them were shocked beyond words!
Not only were they bound by the skill just now, but a few of them had their HP reduced by almost half in an instant. Now that they could not move, the other party only needed to casually attack to kill them. They had no power to resist at all!
The six of them thought that it was time to die. However, they discovered that the Eastern player didn't continue to attack them. Instead, he was looking at them.
"I don't mean any harm. I just want to know the answer to those questions.
I'll be honest with you. The people I know have also received your quest. This quest is very strange. I want to know what's going on.
As long as you answer my questions, I won't let you do it for nothing. I'll give you 2000 gold coins as a reward. Moreover, I won't tell anyone that you've answered my questions. Moreover, this is a game, so you don't have to worry about anything. "
Chen Mo looked at the six of them and said again.
2000 gold coins as a reward?
The six of them were shocked when they heard this.
Although the price of gold coins had depreciated by nearly half, 2000 gold coins could still be exchanged for nearly 1,000,000 in real life currency. It was much more than their quest reward.
"Boss, what do we do?"
"When we accept a quest, we don't ask for the employer's information. We'll do it as long as we have money. We didn't sign any confidentiality agreements for these few quests. There won't be any problems if we answer his questions."
"2000 gold coins, that's a lot of money!"
Soon, several of the players in the team looked at the middle-aged Warrior.
Chen Mo had subdued them with astonishing strength and offered them a handsome reward. Several of the six of them were tempted.
"Okay, we can answer your questions, but we can't guarantee that we'll be able to answer your questions."
The middle-aged Warrior thought for a while and felt that it would be a waste to not earn this money without violating any agreements. He nodded and agreed.
"Very good. Don't worry about the gold coins. For me, 2000 gold coins is nothing. As long as you answer my questions and don't be perfunctory, I'll definitely pay you the gold coins." Chen Mo nodded and looked at the six of them who wanted to speak but stopped. He knew what they were worried about.
Chen Mo had subdued the six of them in an instant with his powerful strength. The six of them silently chose to believe Chen Mo's words. They had no choice but to believe him.
In the current situation, if they didn't answer, they might be killed. If they answered, they might get a large sum of gold coins. It wasn't difficult to choose.
"You don't have to answer in detail where you're from. Just tell me which region you're from.
How did you receive the quest? "Chen Mo asked his first question.
He was from the Huaxia region. The few quests he had done before were all within the Huaxia region.
"We're players from the North American region. After the Genesis game appeared, many gaming studios related to the Genesis game appeared in North America. We received the quest from a large gaming studio. The reward was pretty good. However, we've never come into contact with the person who issued the quest, so we don't know anything about him."
The middle-aged Warrior thought for a while and answered Chen Mo's question. He knew that Chen Mo would definitely be concerned about the person who issued the quest, so he also answered the question about the person who issued the quest.
Chen Mo wasn't surprised that they didn't know the person who issued the quest. Back then, he also didn't know anything about the mysterious person who issued the quest.
"How many quests have you accepted for today's quest?" Chen Mo asked again.
"The third.
The previous two missions didn't have much reward, and there wasn't anything special about the process. This time, finding a piece of black ore at a specific location is very strange, but with the reward, we can't be bothered to care about it. "
The middle-aged Warrior answered again.
There were still two quests before. If he wasn't wrong, in the previous two quests, it was very likely that these strange black caterpillars would appear. In addition to the quests he had done, didn't that mean that there were already five black caterpillars in the game?
No, this number should be even higher. After all, he couldn't guarantee that no other team had accepted the same quest besides himself and this North American region player team.
"Last question. Do you know if there are others who are doing the same quest?"
The six people had limited knowledge. Chen Mo asked the last question that they might be able to answer.
"We don't know in the North American region. However, I've heard of people in the European region who have received similar quests. However, I can't guarantee whether it's true or not."
"Okay, this is your reward."
Chen Mo didn't continue asking. He took out 2,000 gold coins and gave them to the six people.
He didn't get much useful information from the six people. However, after some questioning, he finally had a better understanding of this strange quest.
Furthermore, after he finished asking, a figure gradually appeared in his heart.
An agent!
The same quest was issued in the region. The black caterpillars created had the ability to destroy the game's illusion.
As far as Chen Mo knew, only a mysterious agent could have such ability and power. Other than her, even those big financial groups in the real world couldn't do it!
It was just a guess. There was no way to verify it. However, the agent was undoubtedly listed as the most suspicious person by Chen Mo and needed to be vigilant.
"He really gave us 2,000 gold coins."
Looking at Chen Mo who floated away, the six people looked at each other.
Just by answering three simple questions, the six people didn't think that they could really get the 2,000 gold coins promised by Chen Mo. However, Chen Mo gave it to them without hesitation.
…
The first one was even worse.
